Ranveer... Kadhi Pakoda I love it... Kadhi without kadipatta, methi... Of course some doubts.. but..I loved the part of history about Pakoda.. thanks loadsss.. me a South Indian married to Assamese love Rajasthani Kadi Pakoda where they use ghee for tadka.. for pakodas either methi or palak leaves and freshly chopped dhania is a must... I don't think pakodas tastes good without ajwain... And I never thought of adding tomatoes in the kadhi

  • @mooni-v5n

I made cabbage pakora same using your method, added only Ginger, no onion no garlic.... 2nd time I added cabbage grated in tadka also... Thank you so much for your kindness and happiness and real recipe we get.

Ranbeer beta , when I was a kid , my mother asked me to stir the kadhi while she took a bath . It’s a job of patience and love “ kadhna “ ! I am a Bihari and our pakodas are simple plain pakodas ( soft as cotton ) and simple tadka with jeera and red chillies . No masala . We are Rajputs and descent is from Rajasthan . The story and history behind the nomenclature “ kadhi “ and Indus Valley regionalism of the cuisine is interesting . Thx 👏👍

Sir I really appreciate and enjoy your historical and geographic analysis of the dishes. As a south Indian, I can also say that khadi exists in slightly different form in usually with ground up coconut etc. in south India as well. Tamils call it "mor kuzhambu", Kannada it's "majjige huli" likewise in Andhra and Kerala as well. It makes me think this general preparation of buttermilk based savoury stew/soup a pan-Indian item.

you in the north call it khadi and jn the south, there are two variants.
It is prepared with coconut and roasted chana paste called mor kuzhambu and preparation with besan called mor ventha sar. Mor means buttermilk.
Hence it is not limited to delta or north, it goes all the way to south

Hiii… In our Maharashtra… we eat udad bhaji or mung bhaji with Kadhi.. and we don’t use tomato and onion in kadhi… just tadka with jeera, rai, ginger garlic , green chilies, methi seeds that’s it! And then serve with jaggery. 😊😊 but batter was same Chas with minimum besan. Also, I love all your recipes Ranveer ji. Keep it up! 😊☺️☺️☺️😎
