@@lovrom7671 Soviet tank kills were highly inflated by the Germans, even their Tank Aces like to inflate their kills so they can boast about them in a bar or something because most of the time what counts as a tank kill to them is when the enemy stops shooting, this created alot of complications for them that soon would come back to bite them during the Battle of Kursk because there was reportedly Soviet tanks that were confirmed killed more than a few times but their crews and tank always survived because the Germans didn't even bother making sure they were dead because they didn't want to waste ammo and like I said their idea of a kill is when the enemy stops shooting.

I actually thought that the tiger crew campaign was really fun compared to a lot of the others. It was so different and refreshing.
Me too, it was the most unique campaign in the game and due to that the most memorable for me. I really enjoyed those RPG mechanics (aiming, picking weapons etc.) placed in RTS system.
And it was the percussor to the systems implemented in the the w40k dawn of war 2. The small squad size, rpg mechanic, very focused stories

Should've been its own game with more time to flesh out the mechanics. It can be some kind of WW2 RPG shit. I don't see that combo often.
Always liked the Falaise Pocket Campaign. More specifically the last mission. The last desperate holdout to save as many men as possible, inevitably having to leave what was left of our brothers in arms behind as it collapsed, saving as many as I could.
I just set up a killbox using the 88s and lots and lots of bunkers near the enemy spawn after fending off their initial waves. After a few hours bombing the place using recommissioned Sdkfz 251 Halftracks with the Walking Stuka upgrade, the whole ground was a literal hell that couldn't even be crossed by infantry.
@Wulf I have not encountered that problem. I stayed for as long as I liked until one of my 88s had a kill count of 1k+ men and 231 tanks.
zelkstone all that just kinda gets tedious after a while. Eventually I just start reappropriating Opel Blitzes to ferry my troops out
I took my time and spammed 88 every keypoints... easy but big risk, since can't spawn more troops with max limit
The nobility of some German soldiers which was sadly far outweighed by the sheer evil they served, somewhat unknowingly at that...

Also a suggestion for the last mission in the Falaise Pocket, line the road where the 7th Army is coming from with bunkers that have repair stations so the vehicles will go faster because of the repairs
The c&c generals songs are so nostalgic to my childhood. I miss those games
I remember building a crap ton of repair bunkers, so that the repaired vehicles could exit faster, oh sweet times.

Some things are OP like the i cant remember name of that infantry squad but its abilities are just unfair the Squad that can call air recon,artillery or even the support of the map.

@@destoyermacio6957 those are officers and they have to be close in order for them to call in artillery, plus they're useless in combat. Eaw has pretty good balancing compared to CoH Vanilla

Fun fact, on the 2nd mission of the Tiger Ace, you can totally destroy the Barricade with your OP squad and the Artillery Strike and evacuate from the original exfil point

The 6 pounder destroyed a track, not the transmission.
Nothing else really could penetrate the frontal armor except for the 17 pounder in Normandy pretty much.

@@TigerBaron Hellcat could and did but that was because they were the only US tanks at the time that used APCR rounds as part of their normal loadout.
@@lernaeanhydra5766 I doubt you'd want to go up against a German tank in a lightly armored vehicle meant for speed and flanking maneuvers.
Just because they technically could on paper I think is rather different than if they actually did in real life.

Late to comment, but......Falaise Pocket. When I played that mission for my first time, I send one Infantry squad as an counter offence to buy time, so the last Evacuees could escape. To my surprise, the last guy on the squad was laying in a mortar crater, beeing ignored by the enemy and I let him throw grenades whenever possible. That one guy alone had around 30-40 Infantry kills and it became my own personal side mission to get him out of there. (Wich I managed)
I was surprised by the campaigns, normally in a WWII game you have the germans as the "Big Bad" and nothing more, but CoH was brave enough to let the player be on both sides, without completly villainizing one or the other.

there is a funky glitch in Falaise pocket, you can actually make a small base in the hill behind the church, all you need is a weapon that can attack ground and break some trees, and then voila, artillery proof defense

unlike the myth, the Tiger I was pretty realible acctualy, it could do 150km with one maintenance, which was for a more than 55 ton heavy tank, was pretty impressive, while the T-34 could only do around 130km before needed repairs, the KV-1 could do even less around 110-120, Shermans could do 150-180km
Man, and to think Dawn of War was just Company of Heroes with Spess Mehrines and Metal Bawkses.

Do Theater of war: Case Blue Tiger Ace on general/hard please, some of solo challenges are really difficult like Tiger Ace.
Oh yea I tried at max difficulty and it took me around 2 hours to complete
I used ground attack command together hiding behind destroyed buildings for fog of war
Kept spamming Anti-Tank units whenever I tried doing repairs
Goddamn KV-2 are headache especially on eating your repair shet

Falaise Pocket campaign was stressful for me. I don't mind defend missions, in fact, I love them but I have this habit of covering all grounds causing my units to spread thin while having limited resources and troops to use. Enemies were everywhere and I hate the fact that losing ground and points was inevitable so had to muster the remaining troops to defend HQ and the surrounding area.
