Well, I was really looking forward to going out and doing a little shooting today. I ordered the taran tactical lifter and itll be delivered in about an hour or so. I go ahead and start taking apart the trigger pack so.i can install it as soon as it gets here. Well, now I get to spend more money and wait another week or so. I love how there's multiple comments on the video asking for advice on how to remove the staked pin so that you won't brake the breech bolt latch and there has not been a single response on what would be the best way to achieve this. Needless to say, I just broke mine and now have to order another.
Thank you for the video. I performed the swap last night. Your time and effort to produce this is much appreciated.
The lifter fits perfectly in my Franchi Affinity. No more crunched thumb after 300 loads
I installed one of these on my M4, I got tired of the semicircular cutout on the front of the OEM Benelli lifter
Grabbing my fingertip…. Big improvement!
Great video thanks a lot! Changed Taran ramp without any issue. The pin that you had stamped has loose so no issue there either. Did bounce of the locking spring twice and had to look for it. Really easy to lose that small bugger.
Thanks. Another great video. I just did this same swap a few days ago but I had to come the web for instructions and pictures.
Thanks hope the video helped you in your install.
Ten minute drop in for a Franchi Affinity 3.
No staked pin on the breech bolt latch on this gun.
Thanks for the video!
So are the steps in this video going to be the same for a Benelli M4?
Just a note of caution. The breech bolt latch is staked in, so when you remove it with a pouch, it is possible to snap and ear off of said latch. Stoeger does not have any of these on hand and will not pull one off the assembly line to sell you. My Stoeger has been out of service most of the summer getting sent in circles by Stoeger with no follow up. Ive been working on getting myself and my son into three gun. Needless to say, my son was pretty stoked. Now he is even more disappointed than I am. I wish I could say good things about Stoegers customer service, but I can't. Be very carful when removing the breech bolt latch pin!
The breech bolt latch for the M2 is the same replacement part. I'm not sure why they have given you so much trouble about this. The link below is where you can find the correct part. If you have any more issues you can email me at jared@thetacticalbay directly. Hope this helps.

do you have a video on punching out that stake...or words of wisdom for this garage armorer?
I just now broke mine as well. Midwest Gun Works has new ones in stock.
Just snapped my 5-40 tap off because a 5-40 tap takes a #38 drill bit not a 32. I checked Lincoln Machine, Newman Tools and our maintenance dept. at work. #38.
Great info buddy. My 3000 has a flat end on lifter is there still a benifit to getting the TARAN.
Is TT now in 2023 making these modifications in house prior to shipping OR do we still have to preform these modifications prior to install ?? TY
I just ordered one of those lifters for my Benelli M2
Great video - Super easy
finally someone made a nice video of this thank you!
could you do a video on how to install the power pak spring set from tti
If I can get ahold of one from TTI then I will definitely make a video on the installation of it.
they actually have a sale going on till the 28th... and thank you again
I had one of these installed on my Stoeger and now the carrier comes up at the end of the rearward travel of the bolt instead of at the beginning of the forward travel like the factory one did. Is there an issue with timing these?
Thanks for the great video.
cheers, this helped
Thanks for the video.
cool vid thanks for the post
Thank you so much!!!!
What advantage do you Gan ???
Do you know if these up grades work on the stoeger m2000 as well?
Alot of them should, but I would have to check to see for sure. Unfortunately M2000s are hard to get ahold of now to test that theory.
from what i have seen and looked at in the vids looks like the m2000 and m3000 has the same parts
Alot of them are the same, but from what some people have said there are a few small differences. Unfortunately I haven't been able to verify this as they are hard to get ahold of.
Great video
What's the benefit of this? Is it designed to allow smoother shell loading? I noticed on my m3500 my finger gets hung up on the end of the lifter.
You are correct Matt. The lifter makes it to where your thumb doesn't get caught when doing loads, or at least as best as is possible. This should be the same install for the M3500. I can tell you that so far this has greatly improved the ease of loading along with opening up the loading port. We will be doing a overall video here very soon so show everything that we have done to make this shotgun 3 gun ready along with match footage.
Would this piece fit the p3500 in tired of a munched thumb
great
hey tac bay, thanks for all the videos you have made so far!! they have been super helpful, i was wondering, how much easier are your reloads after installing the new lifter? and have you thought about sanding/filing your loading port back some? i have been practicing my weak hand reloads, and have been cutting the hell out my thumb on the reloads, any thoughts?
Glad that the videos have been helpful for you. We actually have already opened up the loading port on the M3000. With the port opened and the new lifter loads on the shotgun are amazing. with just under and hour of practice I am getting 4.16 sec 8 round loads. There are a few other modifications that we have made to the shotgun that we will be covering in a video soon. The full article should be up on our website by tomorrow morning so make sure to check that out.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
FYI.. This video worked for my Versamax as well. I didn't modify anything. I have function checked it, but not shot it yet.. I'll try to remember to update after the range.
Glad that it worked for you. Do let us know how your testing works and we will update the info here.
Ple3ase turn up the volume can hardly hear you
Not that simple in a Ethos😎
WHY WOULD I BUY A PART THAT NEEDS MACHINE WORK TO USE???
yikes
