It looks like every repair job has a possibility to the first you have ever done and catch you by surprise no matter how many times you have done similar challenges. I enjoy watching how you calculate the risk of damage VS finding the the least invasive approach to repair an instrument.
I never came across this problem in my very short career as a band instrument repair technician, but would it be effective to just spray a sticky oil, like chainsaw bar-and-chain oil into the breather holes? Then the debris might stay stuck to some internal structure?
I was thinking about putting epoxy inside the valve, but I thought it might add too much weight to the valve or it might not allow the air to get through. The heavy oil is an interesting idea, but I wonder if it would ooze out and mix with the valve oil.
I have a french horn tuning slide that's loose. Slide grease helps, but the problem is still considerable. The slide stays in place, but if I blow vigorously (to get water out of the horn), it falls out. I don't see any videos on that topic on your channel. What should I do?
Fascinating. It must be so satisfying to have that little bugger come out finally after hearing it rattle for so long. Thanks dude.

Always fascinating. Thank you Art and love to all the family.
Hi Art, so interesting to watch you work. I’ve learned so much watching your videos.
I hope you and your family have a blessed evening!
Great video on a less well-known topic! Been enjoying your content lately. I learned about your channel from Scott Gordon, as it happens.
Ótima técnica amigo.
