We left out instructions for bathing the instrument from this video because we recommend bringing it to a professional a few times a year for ultrasonic cleaning. Bathing an instrument this large without the proper equipment can be difficult and can easily end in a large mess or a dented instrument.

i used the valve casing brush but a spring came out of the valve. How do I fix this?
in case this never got answered and you have had a springless baritone forever, it is really simple, the spring is pretty much just loose inside the casing, and can be put back in and then closed with no harm
Can Vaseline be used instead of slide grease?
i think its not recommended. ive heard different answers from different people, but i’d go the safe route and use tuning slide grease :)
Vaseline can be used however it’s made with water and will dry out within hours so do it with caution
How often should you clean your instrument?
I do it every 4 months.
