wow 35k in 3 moths is actually amazing!! with all the content that's uploaded onto youtube daily it's insane that you got that amount of subs in such a short time... I honestly believe it also has something to do with luck as well as quality content (like the algorithm recommending your video to the right group off people right of the bat)

to everyone who's struggling to grow their channel, just know...that you're not alone, many of us has struggled and if some got through it, we can too. Well, we should do something than to just hope, right? haha
Here's my biggest lesson I learned in the year I've been doing this: once something works, double down on it. I had videos that worked but I posted other random shit and I didn't realize that it's disrespectful of me to have people click subscribe for a type of content, then give them something completely different. Obviously being happy is important, but giving people what they clicked for is HUGE to growing. Also tiktok is insanely useful for driving traffic to youtube :)
@@famousamos Tiktok IMO is a disaster. my tiktok blew up a year ago. But for some reason it got shadowbanned HARD. I was posting the same stuff, but one day after I got 6 mil views on a tiktok video, 5,000 views on a video was the norm. So I actually just recently started a NEW tiktok and i'm legit reposting cropped content of mine and it's blowing up the same way, no limits. Tiktok audience is probably just as sensitive as youtube, definitely deliver the same stuff. But the algorithm there is sketchy. Some creators just get blocked from the FYP for no reason. I was barred from the creator fund too, 130k followers. Tiktok is sketchy but useful.
@@eehhh636 funny story, I have like, 60 videos. I privated all of them because they just weren't what my audience wanted. So all of the public videos were videos I know my audience wanted. So yea, I made lots of mistakes. About 50 videos worth of them :) all big learning lessons here, but that's ok. I still do think it's viable to maintain big views while posting less often though.

@@MakHanaCS can I give you guys a personal suggestion? So, the ideas she's giving me so far, don't apply to me, because I'm not a vlogger. For those of you who aren't intending to vlog, or want another means of promoting yourself, I suggest going on to social media and posting and or promoting stuff about your videos there. Also spread across social media platforms, putting all kinds of hashtags related to the content you create. If you need anybody in person who may seem like the type who would be interested in your TH-cam channel, strike up conversation with them, and maybe casually bring up your channel. Maybe see if they're interested at all. If they don't seem interested, let them go, but if they seem interested, you can pursue them. You need to learn the art of advertising though. Need to be cordial and friendly without seeing advertising. I know for me, I walk up to people and start conversations with them, the biggest thing is to seem social and casual with them. You might say this is manipulative, but the biggest success here, is if you really genuinely are interested in talking to them. Once that's achieved, at some point in the conversation bring up interests. For me for example, I make manga content. I bring up anime, and ask them if they like it. If they seem extremely enthusiastic already, I might then offer them my business card, which you can get from Vistaprint in bulk, with custom designs and writing and everything. I put on mine my pseudonym, a sample or two of my artwork, my business title, and on the back of the card, I explained where my internet presence is. I also stylized it to be within the niche I do, I make it seem very cyberpunk. But if you don't have the money for a business card, even for $36 plus shipping from Vistaprint, which is where I personally got them from, for a box of 150, I wish I think that's how many it was, I know it was a freaking darn lot of them, if you don't even have the money for that, then I would suggest continuing to post online. Spread the word, but not in an overly advertising way. For example, back to the topic of anime as my example, I don't know what your niche is, but in the niche of say anime, perhaps join either discord, Facebook groups or other social media that have groups, two randomly post your videos. Don't post them too consistently on facebook, or switch it up sometimes with seemingly personal posts in anime groups. Start discussions with people. You don't want to make it seem like your main purpose being there is to advertise your wares, you want to to seem like you're advertising that as well as participating as just another member in the group. Hope this helps :-)

I've been uploading gaming content (mostly horror) since January and haven't gotten very far. Its been hard, it there are time it will be harder. But the key thing is to keep pushing through! Your this upload might not be the one to blow up but if you quit now you'll never know if your next upload was destine to blow up. Jesus Christ, 10 - 30 hours of editing!?! That’s crazy and I be complaining when it takes me 4 hours. On average it’ll take me 2-4 hours on editing max and I am trying to keep it that way. Thank you for genuinely being honest and giving useful advice in this 13 minute video👏🏾⭐️
That part was so relatable because I take a long time to edit too. It may be just a 10 min video but it will take me a week to edit. Idk how people do it faster lol.

For so long I put off starting a TH-cam channel. After starting my first TH-cam channel over a year ago I've improved my editing, filming and uploading skills so much. I'm so grateful for all the mistakes and 'bad' videos I uploaded because I've been able to learn from them. Only regret is not starting earlier 😁

I've been uploading gaming content (mostly horror) since January and haven't gotten very far. Its been hard, it there are time it will be harder. But the key thing is to keep pushing through! Your this upload might not be the one to blow up but if you quit now you'll never know if your next upload was destine to blow up. Jesus Christ, 10 - 30 hours of editing!?! That’s crazy and I be complaining when it takes me 4 hours. On average it’ll take me 2-4 hours on editing max and I am trying to keep it that way. Thank you for genuinely being honest and giving useful advice in this 13 minute video👏🏾⭐️
