Check out Mike Nixon’s CBX carb book, it “reads like a video,” that’s what I used. It’ll show you step by step disassembly, synchronization, and reassembly. If you want to send out those Goldwing carbs I can vouch for Cycle Recycle P2 in Indianapolis. Very reasonable prices and good work.
I’ll take a look into it. For the CBX like I said I’m sure I could do it. For me and my time I want to send them out. Time vs how many projects I have I would like to put source some stuff and for the CBX and what in it for I’m ok with it.
NIce video and beautiful XS650. I have a 1983 XS650 that I recently purchased. I'm making a determination on whether I should try to go through the carbs myself or find a carb man to to them. I can't wait to ride that bike.
It’s fairly easy to do them they really aren’t too complicated. But if you can find someone who will professionally do them for a few hundred sometimes it’s worth having it done.
What year XS500 did you have? What do you think about it? I have been thinking about looking for a '76 or later XS500, because of the 2 Cyl., counter balanced, DOHC, 4-valve/cyl. engine. Pretty advanced for back then + I hear that switching the CV carbs to VM Mikuni's really wakes them up. And I haven't seen many around.
We use to have 2 I believe they were 75s. Honestly I never rode them and I haven’t seen one since I sold those. I have seen them online for sale and I see they bring the same if not a little less than what I sold them for. I know my dad had said he really liked them.
Might seem like that on social Media but not necessarily true. I’m fortunate enough to be able to justify buying nice machines that I will not disregard
I love the older goldwings!!

Mr. CBX out of Columbus OH is the king of Honda CBs. If you need a CBX shop, he's the guy.
I will look into him. Thanks

How's the gl1000 doing
Those the gls are sitting pretty. Waiting to get torn apart. Both are very high on my priority list.
