Siege is usually the easiest map in Battlefield 4, especially in the Attack Helicopter. In this game, it became one of the hardest experiences possible.

Battlefield 4 is a first-person shooter video game developed by video game developer EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is a sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3 and was released in October 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360; then later in November for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Battlefield 4's multiplayer contains three playable factions-the United States, China, and Russia-fighting against each other, in up to 64-player matches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (24-Player on Xbox 360 and PS3). A newly reintroduced "Commander Mode", last seen in Battlefield 2142, gives one player on each team a real-time strategy-like view of the entire map and the ability to give orders to teammates. Also, the Commander can observe the battle through the eyes of the players on the battlefield, deploying vehicle and weapon drops to "keep the war machinery going", and order in missile strikes on hostile targets.[7][8] A spectator mode is included, enabling players to spectate others in first or third person, as well as use a free camera to pan around the map from any angle.
On June 10, 2013, at E3, DICE featured the map "Siege of Shanghai", pitting the People's Liberation Army against the U.S. Marine Corps. The gameplay showcased Commander Mode; new weapons and vehicles; and the "Levolution" gameplay mechanic. The video displays the last of these at various points, including: a player destroying a support pillar to trap an enemy tank above it; and a large skyscraper (with an in-game objective on the top floor) collapsing in the center of the map, kicking up a massive dust cloud throughout the map and bringing the objective closer to ground level.[9] Levolution also includes effects such as shooting a fire
The maps included in the main game are "Siege of Shanghai", "Paracel Storm", "Zavod 311", "Lancang Dam", "Flood Zone", "Rogue Transmission", "Hainan Resort", "Dawnbreaker", "Operation Locker" and "Golmud Railway".[11][12] The game modes on offer include Battlefield's Conque
The four kits from Battlefield 3 are present in Battlefield 4 with minor tweaks. The Assault kit must now wait for the defibrillator to recharge after reviving teammates in quick succession. The Engineer kit uses PDWs, and carbines are available to all kits. The support kit has access to the new remote mortar and the XM25 allowing for indirect suppressive fire. The Recon kit is now more mobile and is able to equip carbines, designated marksman rifles (DMRs), and C4. Sniping mechanics also give with the ability to zero in your sights (set an aiming distance), and equip more optics and accessories than previous Battlefield games. The Recon kit is still able to utilize the MAV, T-UGS, and the Radio Beacon.[14][15][16][17]
New vehicles have also been introduced. With the addition of the Chinese faction, new vehicles include the Type 99 MBT, the ZFB-05 armored car, and the Z-10W attack helicopter. Jets have also been rebalanced and put into two classes, "attack" and "stealth". The attack jets focus is mainly air-to-ground capabilities, while stealth jets focus mainly on air-to-air combat. Another vehicle added in Battlefield 4 is the addition of the RCB and DV-15 Interceptor attack boats, which function as heavily armed aquatic assault craft.

I like seeing you play some ppl that can fight back. Every time is see you running amuck I wonder why there aren’t constant ucav, smaw, rpg, sraw, etc. coming at you. End of the day high skill players in the chopper are hard to deal with, not impossible. GG

Yeah he’s really good. But this is why I don’t like Shanghai. Even with that many players shooting at him, he’s still getting mad kills. These vehicles increase the power of good players way too much. Especially on this map. The top infantry player would at least have enemy actively shooting at him any time they see him and he has the same health as any other player.
Well if battlefield was played with teams and ways of communicating maybe they wouldn’t hold so much power. If everyone’s off doing they’re own thing no wonder it’s easy for em

The problem is that as Infantry player, the normal vision is pretty bad in this game as compared to BF3, but IRNV & FLIR visions give you crystal clear location of enemies due to which vehicles have ridiculously unfair advantage even against skilled Engineer class players.
The Thermal & Night Vision sights should have been made more realistic and little bit hard to see through, but then again this game is 9 years old so we're too late with our issues.

It’s more like they’re sick of sweaty chopper spammers, they’re not sweaty they just don’t want to be murked every 2 seconds. Even with that many rockets you still decimated, attack heli is cheese

I just don't understand why Zavod has AA tank but Seige doesn't.
I'd assume due to the water between the 2 sides and no coverage at all. An AA could sit on either side of the water and make it hard / impossible for an heli to cross to the other side, let alone roam around properly on one side. Zavod on the other hand provides lots of cover. But I get your point, a sort of AA is definitely missing on siege lmao, literally the best map to fly attack heli on
Hopped on BF4 yesterday, pretty good.
Kinda wish vehicles didn't auto heal. I like the repair system from BF1 better, but vehicles from BF4 are way more fun and higher skill cap

i'd def hate being in a server against Silk and other high kill players. I mean, i get that you're good, and you got content to make, but being in that server on the other team is just pain. You just keep getting killed without anything you can do against Silk's choppers... Makes the server unplayable. They're second worst thing to have in a lobby... first is obv cheaters.

Exactly, this is where I find BF1 far more enjoyable because you can't simply farm the lobbies with Thermal Visions and lock on missiles. The jets in BF4 still require shit ton of skills, but the Attack & Scout choppers have crazy amount of unfair advantage against Infantry.

Watching silk play is impressive but at the same time reminds me of why bf3 and bf4 are unplayable on pc due to max levels never touching the ground only abusing jets and helicopters
You can learn flying jets or helis and in a pretty short time you'll be better than 90% of players

I don't even get mad loosing to SMAW or RPG. It's a skill based weapon which can be used against all targets. Stingers and Igla users are usless against anything other than heli's and require no skill to operate.
Facts, most of the time I even write in chat something along the lines of "nice shot", same for when someone hits me with a tow.

Can anybody tell me what a “sweat” and a “tryhard” is? To me a sweat just sounds like somebody who sweats which everybody does unless you have some medical condition and a tryhard just sounds like somebody who tries harder than everybody else???

Because this is a comment section centered around Battlefield piloting I'm just going to put some a question here: in Battlefield 4 should I be running the 7.62 mm mini guns or the 25 mm gun pods on the Scout helicopter
Update: after I got used to them the miniguns feel really good for aircraft and infantry I even prefer them over the gunpods ty for the advice

You can definitely shoot better than me in the gunner seat but I’ll outfly anyone you know in an attack heli. I’ve got 7 years of experience. And hundreds of thousands of kills. Was #3 in the world for a very long time. #1 in the states for years. No other bf holds a candle to bf4.

Console has a setting where you can lean with your controller’s gyroscope. You can use controller on PC but I don’t know if the setting is still there.
