- Recently I've been releasing videos with all the secrets to each of Battlefield 4's vehicles. Both helping myself and you guys prepare for Battlefield 2042. In this episode, I recruited help from one of Battlefield's top pilots to let us know how it's done!

Battlefield 4 is a first-person shooter video game developed by video game developer EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is a sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3 and was released in October 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360; then later in November for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Battlefield 4 was met with positive reception. It was praised for its multiplayer mode, gameplay and graphics, but was also criticized for its short and shallow single-player campaign mode, and for its numerous bugs and glitches in the multiplayer. It was a commercial success
Battlefield 4's multiplayer contains three playable factions-the United States, China, and Russia-fighting against each other, in up to 64-player matches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (24-Player on Xbox 360 and PS3). A newly reintroduced "Commander Mode", last seen in Battlefield 2142, gives one player on each team a real-time strategy-like view of the entire map and the ability to give orders to teammates. Also, the Commander can observe the battle through the eyes of the players on the battlefield, deploying vehicle and weapon drops to "keep the war machinery going", and order in missile strikes on hostile targets.[7][8] A spectator mode is included, enabling players to spectate others in first or third person, as well as use a free camera to pan around the map from any angle.
On June 10, 2013, at E3, DICE featured the map "Siege of Shanghai", pitting the People's Liberation Army against the U.S. Marine Corps. The gameplay showcased Commander Mode; new weapons and vehicles; and the "Levolution" gameplay mechanic. The video displays the last of these at various points, including: a player destroying a support pillar to trap an enemy tank above it; and a large skyscraper (with an in-game objective on the top floor) collapsing in the center of the map, kicking up a massive dust cloud throughout the map and bringing the objective closer to ground level.[9] Levolution also includes effects such as shooting a fire extinguisher to fill the room with obscuring clouds, car alarms going off when stepped on, metal detectors going off once passed through, or cutting the power in a room to reduce others' visibility.[9][10]
The maps included in the main game are "Siege of Shanghai", "Paracel Storm", "Zavod 311", "Lancang Dam", "Flood Zone", "Rogue Transmission", "Hainan Resort", "Dawnbreaker", "Operation Locker" and "Golmud Railway".[11][12] The game modes on offer include Battlefield's Conquest, Domination and Rush; while adding two new game modes called Obliteration and Defuse, along with traditional game modes such as Team Deathmatch and Squad Deathmatch.[12][13]
The four kits from Battlefield 3 are present in Battlefield 4 with minor tweaks. The Assault kit must now wait for the defibrillator to recharge after reviving teammates in quick succession. The
New vehicles have also been introduced. With the addition of the Chinese faction, new vehicles include the Type 99 MBT, the ZFB-05 armored car, and the Z-10W attack helicopter. Jets have also been rebalanced and put into two classes, "attack" and "stealth". The attack jets focus is mainly air-to-ground capabilities, while stealth jets focus mainly on air-to-air combat. Another vehicle added in Battlefield 4 is the addition of the RCB and DV-15 Interceptor attack boats, which function as heavily armed aquatic assault craft.

Another quick tip if youre piloting the attack helo: when you spawn in, shoot one rocket, then reload. usually you start with 8 rockets (if youre using Zuni's) and another 8 in reserve. but if you shoot one rocket and then reload, you will slowly get a few more rockets in reserve. so once you fly out of your base, you'll have 8 rockets loaded, and 16 in reserve.
Same thing applies for every vehicle with more than 1 in the magazine good tip lots of people still don't do this

@@nono-lz7en I know some tips as well, apart from this one in this comment. I know the zouzou jump, the attack team on rush trick, the defensing team on rush trick, the rocket trick, the mortars tip and many others. Hardly you would find a veteran who doesn't know it..

I wish there was a single player campaign for the attack heli, something like Desert Strike. I love flying it but i always come up against dudes like you, so it's not fun :(

luckily 2042 will have a practive mode against bots
There was a co-op mission in BF3 that had you take control of an attack heli, but it's just not the same

We just leave the server when there’s sweaty pilots. Some maps it’s just impossible to deal with a skilled chopper pilot. Ain’t fun being camped by a heli.
Get on board an AA, lay AA mines and equip Stingers.
@@MrDK0010 nahh. If the map doesn't have a stealth jet, just leave. No point in getting farmed on a map that has no real counter to the attack heli. Manpads are 100% a waste of time, trying to use them is asking to get farmed.

why you cannot lock with anti air on some helicopters
bro you need a dedicated team to destroy it and good communication once you have it all. the chopper will be nothing and you will stomp it everytime.
just have 2 players with rangefinder or binoculars and lock on the attack chopper and have another guy with javelin rocket ez kill
@@omar619kamis Its that what I talk about it all the time, the attack helis are good because they had skill but they wouldn't stand to much with only skill without teamwork. Only way to counter both skill and teamwork is by doing the same thing, take an PLD aim at it have another player with the javelin. That is more OP than the attack heli itself
Didn't get into the attack helicopter enough on time, now when I try I just get instantly molested by a level 140 going 98-1

yeah, on one hand, its nice that air vehicles rewards immense skill and effort, but then being able to be a unkillable deathmachine is not quite fun for the enemy team, especially if you want to try to learn one for yourself.I just hope they still do rewards big skill/time efforts on airvehicles(which they obv. will do), but also increase counter measures, especially counters that are able to be used by non pro pilots, but this would be quite hard to invent, because i myself cant really think of a sufficient enought method of nerfing them in a fair way, without making them freekills
i almost always play this map now and i have been forced to use engineer a lot which i never really used before. doesnt always work but when it does its amazing. i mostly just try to be an annoyance and give my team a break
I agree, but if you spend a lot of time in something like a hobby or work in this case a videogame you will become good at it.
Which is pretty annoying for people that are not as good as they are (like myself).
But if you keep playing against pro players it wil eventually make you a better player.✌🏾
It will as long as idiots make bait videos like this. Remember jack frags made a video like this for the Heavy Bomber for battlefield 1. The pick rate for that thing sky rocketed and became the most annoying shit in the game

what i always loved about BF4 since release is. when you fly up. and you come ''swooping'' down and when you turn while close to the ground. the sound that the blades make is just ''wauow'' xD
I love the attack heli, Also the Dice camo with the smaw is dead on. Love the retribution when you destroy the enemy heli after getting towed or shot out.

i cant learn air vehicles because theres way to many sweats in every server
BF4 servers are not really friendly for new players still trying to rank up, unlock weapons or learn machanics. I played BF4 from its launch but never got into piloting and now every enemy pilot on the server has everything unlocked and knows the meta. So kinda frustrating to try learn piloting now. Basically veterans of the game will dominate the server regardless.

It only takes like a day to unlock everything in the AH. Try it out in the test range until you know how to use it. The AH is OP.

It's my birthday and I'm starting out the day great with a Silk video. I needed this too because I'm okay at flying the heli, but I want to get better, and all the good gameplays of helis are from the gunner's perspective.

The attack chopper is def super OP in BF4. There’s no way to take it out unless there are multiple SAM players in different locations. It requires a planned effort.
The hind in the Bf2042 trailer seems more like the russian osprey equivalent (as we see it having the same rotatable miniguns as the condor), could be inspired by a mi171sh-VN.
yooo bf4 was my favorite game of all time. im so glad its being revived. havent played it since my xbox one days about 4 yrs ago, but i might just have to get it again!

@@SilkOCE I would prefer if they could add BF2 helicopters in new BF instead of BF3/4 helis. The 2v2s were fun af. The TVs were better in BF2 and the maximum amount of ammo made more sense and was good for the gameplay.

Super clean gunner shots.
Pilot: intense gameplay in which you must manuover around the environment, take accurate rocket shots with your positioning of the heli, know when to take cover and use ecm, etc.
Gunner:
>remove left hand 80% of time
>point-click adventure game
>rack up 400 killstreak in 20 minutes

For some reason I dont understand, at 5:48 he just go at 100km/h directly to the floor, doesnt happen anything, I touch the ground: -50 hp
On Shanghai the floors outside the map don't cause any damage to helis. Really useful if you get TV'd and need a quick rep

@@yogetrekt8243 ordinarily yes but you also don't take damage out of bounds in Shanghai so he was able to nosedive like that. I do it all the time, too.

I'm not a fan of seat swapping but it's obviously a very effective tactic. I haven't been able to comms with attack chopper pilot/gunner since bf3. TV missiles are chef's kiss
Wonder if BF2042 will have earning system, where you will have to earn for vehicles not just wait for them to respawn. That could encourage players to actually do something more in order to get points for vehicles, like healing other players, give ammo or go to objectives help capturing flags ... etc

@@andyflores8102 Yep. Although Battlefront’s problem with this feature is that try-hards race to get a certain amount of points, then boom the maximum amount of helicopters on the map.
I would prefer this though over click-spamming the spawn location of the vehicles though
I see some good tips. Although I am more of an anti vehicle pilot. I tend to go for tanks etc first but in reality...taking out the infantry will make the tanks muuch less effective.

I would love to see some gameplay on some maps like firestorm or gulf of oman. Just those large scale maps. I think it's a little more difficult to run supreme on maps with attack jets and such

awesome vid silk, however i somewhat disagree with what you said about using tows and tv's only after you put some damage in... sure if you're bum rushing the other heli then yes it's more reliable to use zunis and cannons, but the pilot has 2 tows that regen relatively quickly, and if well placed, can end the fight before it even starts. tows are much hard to dodge too as their turn radius is smaller than the tv, so in my opinion (an i'm an experienced pilot) it's best to open up with a tow, and if it misses then switching to zunis

I've been playing battlefield since bad company 2 and I've never took interest in air vehicles till recently. All I can say is I like watching your videos of high kill games but then again I also enjoy hitting shots w/ a smaw XD

It's almost sad to kill them. They've given up on having fun so much that pointing at vehicles while standing still is their only way to get some neuron activation. Completely brain dead.

@@odethious5639 smaw/rpg/sraw can take down helis easily, but most people are just too lazy to understand how the missile moves and how to predict it, which is why we have the average manpad user
Generally I can use attack helicopters good, but hard thing is to get the helicopter in Shanghai. There is always someone else taking the attack helicopter before me, also another issue is having no gunner friend
The gunner box is great for when there's no comms and your playing with a rando, pilots know where the gunners aiming and gunners can roughly see where the pilots aiming too
Heh I used to just grab a transport chopper and play chicken with the fuvker, works every time.
What tips could you bring on how to improve using the tow missle, I lead with the cross hairs but i hear you can lead it with the missle, but i really really struggle leading it.
I hope the TV guided missiles won't be such a glitchy mess like in BF3 and BF4 where you are actually flying inside the TV missile and it's the reason why you can actually be killed while "using" the TV missiles from time to time and why your player model disappears when you use it.

2 attack helicopters actually. The one that everyone thought was a Hind looks to be a futuristic version of the MI-17 which would put it as the transport variant for the Russians. It would be the counterpart of the Osprey we have seen in the game which also has a futuristic appearance. Both transport helicopters seem to have 3 remote controlled gunner seats.
Another thing to note is that Zuni rockets are more reliable without a doubt, but I would like to point out that Hydras have really high splash damage and have a high chance of killing pilots out of through their cockpits if you can hit your shots. I prefer Hydras when I fly solo but if I have a really good gunner I’ll run Zuni’s.
Anyone else remember in bf3 that both the pilot and gunner had flares for awhile? Good times. 👌🏻
You're the reason why some servers have kill caps per individual in AH. I admire your skill, but must say, I do ANYTHING against players like you in lobby. Ramming and all.

I love jet ramming. It’s hilarious and makes me laugh every time, even when it’s done to me. It’s super effective tho, and easy.
Against professional players on killstreaks this is fine, yeah a cliche tactic but i mean it would rather do that than have 90 kill enemy chopper above in the sky
But well against enemies who are evenly matched with the team (like the chopper is actually dying or kept at bay to some point while also scoring kills at same time than i despise such tactic)
I hope I'll eventually get good at flyin helis. Hope piloting isn't made more difficult in 2042 same with vehicles. Hope it's a evolved system similar to 4 but less of 5

5:49 is there a trick to landing helis that violently? I sometimes get away with it in the viper but I'm pretty sure the z10 would blow up 10/10 times if I did that even if I hold W to try to slow the descent.

Just want to say, I really appreciate the pilot POV.
Thank god we will have bots in 2042, the challenge for me outside of play time was always getting enough exposure to practice certain units, I got good with the Tank, APC and Attack Chopper, but Scout & Jets were always hard to get enough gameplay in to become useful.
Hey silk (or anyone else) how is the pilot move at 5:47 performed? Slamming the nose in the ground or something? Also, any tips for making air swapping easier on controller?

I got in a chopper the other day on ps5 and I never do vehicles in any of the battlefields I mainly just infantry and I took off and already had a laser on me and multiple rockets in the air and got wrecked in about 15 seconds trying to fly away. Or if I'm in a tank before I get out of spawn a plane bombs me or a chopper lights me up.
