I remember buying my first Numark NS7 controller after high school and thinking nothing was going to top that kind of quality for a long time but seeing these controllers is absolutely amazing. Literally about to go out and buy one of these things and get back into DJing once in a while again

Okay so this thing I heard in dozen of mixes and even saw on live videos, is "slip mode", I always wondered what was the difference in my Virtual DJ software, but couldnt figure it out ! THANKS A LOT !
What would u recommend the DDJ 400 or the DDJ SB3. I'm torn on what one too get they both seem be very similar , the skins on vdj are pretty much identical apart from the ddj 400 skin not having a shift button .

I'm subbed & this pointed out the determining factor in choosing my next purchase: yes, the DDJ-400 has the "bang for buck" factor with the full software package, but the layout on the SB-3 is more intuitive for my style/preference of DJing (I'm not a fan of the manual loop buttons & WANT the Roll & Slicer functions). I'm not crazy about the fact I have to upgrade the software to "unlock" all the features, but having them is a must for me. Keep doing you, man - I appreciate what you're doing as I'm sure many others do, too! If or when I end up doing guest spots on club CDJ's, I'll just get that free version of Rekordbox, analyze files, save to a drive & BAM - I'm good to go for that night!
Do you ever have issues with power on the SB3? I had one for the past few months but occasionally it would go dark and I’d have to unplug the usb and plug it back in. Will a powered controller be more reliable?
Pro, if you look at the labels on the buttons they will have dots either end. this inicates its a pro feature. Slip, Beat jump, Slicer and Rolls aew all serato pro stuff. I pay £11 a month to own everything except the DVS and video pack.

If we can still ask questions, I was wondering how you might recommend an "old school" DJ begin figuring out all this new technology in DJing? I stopped playing around when CDJs were starting to become standard, so that's about as far as I got. Now my 11 year old wants to learn to DJ, and there's so much more available now. Even the DDJ-400 we plan to get gives a crazy amount of options I'm not super familiar with, lol

I was looking at the DDJ 400 but it doesn't have 4 deck capabilities so I might go for the Mixtrack Platinum for live mashups.
