None of the V10s were very torquey really, certainly nothing like the torque of todays engines That’s why people loved them, it was all about revs, revs and more revs!
That supertec was rubbish. BAR had very good peace in the first half of 1999 but engine exploded on near every race. In 16 rounds JV had 12 retirements most often due to engine failure.
Engine was not the problem.... Williams and Benetton also had Supertec engines and they got points and even podiums from the season... the 1999 car chassis was just very unreliable. Supertec engine was pretty good.
That 2004 car is my vote for best sounding V10 F1 engine ever!
All the 2004 engines were the best sounding, that was when they let them rev the crap out of those V10's and the horsepower numbers were 900+.
The Honda F1 V10 sounds legendary to me keep doing what you doing barney ward I enjoy your work
Not to forget the bmw
1999 Supertec FB01 (Renault RS9B)
2000 Honda RA000E
2001 Honda RA001E
2002 Honda RA002E
2003 Honda RA003E
2004 Honda RA004E
2005 Honda RA005E

4:37 - Suzuka special engine from Honda? Sounds like it's revving to about 19k, much higher than the year before.
If i remember correctly they claimed over 1000 HP for Suzuka in 2004 and 2005. Maybe they push a specific high output motor for the home GP.

Heavenly sound!!!!!!!💪💪💪💪👍💔💔💔💪👍 really F1 car!!!! Adorable!!! Golden era!!!,
Love how they had to upshift early on corner exits because of the lack of traction control.. that hard to drive were those beasts (1999 and 2000 cars)
When rpm grew every year . When emotions got brighter with every new season . And i thought in had no limits . So sorry i was mistaken
You're not young anymore. Get over it already.
@@Anon24052 no way. I d better buy kawasaki zxr 250. It has similar music.
Todays f1 sounsworse than my m54b30
@@siniyden Does the C in your name stand for confusion? Because that would be very accurate.

@@siniyden Your comment is nonsense. I don’t expect you to be great at English but the only thing I understood was that you hate the V6 engine.
I like to play a little game with these videos: try and guess the circuit as soon as it pops up on the screen
Another one could guess the circuit just by hearing the car
@@thisisfaka guess by only downshift and acceleeation sound

always loved Hnda especially becaude I'm Asian... Nostalgia kicking in again...
Cool! BAR Honda had nice sounds : D
Looks like Button missed his braking point at 7:14
Shouldve used all the Suzuka special engines on this vid especially the 2005 one
And shame that the BAR team never scored a win in f1 at all
Let's have the aero package off those stupid sounding Dyson vacuum cleaners and put them on these V10 beasts and perhaps more people will watch F1
The best sound HONDA RA 004 HUBIERAN HECHO UNA EXPECIFICACION RA 004 D
Good engine, not so good chassis.
Where's Rubens..?
Wich is the name of the last circuit?
it was spain catalunya
Istanbul park
@@Ahmad-hw2zc i didnt watch the last one, so i made a mistake. you re right it was istanbul park
Turkish instabul park
004, 005 & 006 are out of place, especially the 006.
the 2005 bar doesnt sound that great for a V10, too high pitched and not torquey at all
2005 engines were the most refined. Very high pitched indeed, but also the most unreal. Would have loved to hear it live
None of the V10s were very torquey really, certainly nothing like the torque of todays engines
That’s why people loved them, it was all about revs, revs and more revs!
The whole premise of a V10 engine at 19k, nearly 20k RPM with a stroke of about 30mm doesn't lend itself to torque you moron.
Really bad driving from Zonta..
John Touch Ricardo Zonta is trash......baCK in the 2000s.
