Active suspension working at 3:07 its just unreal. Aparently ilogical behaviur, getting flat at straights and adapting to rolling in curves... amazing technology even in early 90s. Looked like sci-fi at that time.
The V10 and V12 eras were the best. That is what F1 cars should sound like. Senna was so damn good, he was able to hold off Prost for a long time, in a severely underpowered car.
Der mclaren von senner war nich untermotorisiert der williams hatte ein schnellschaltgetriebe wärend senner noch ein manuelles Getriebe besaß was natürlich deutlich mehr zeit braucht beim beschleunigen als ein schnellschaltgetriebe

4:36 - Watch Prost's left thumb press and hold the yellow button for nine or ten seconds to finally get past Senna. Early DRS prototype or some type of engine boost?
Hell, they could bring back the V10's now with biofuels and still be just as carbon neutral as the hated V6 hybrids. No F1 fan WANTS F1 to be 'Road car relevant' - Formula E covers that quite satisfactorily. The true F1 fans want speed, sound and exhileration. The problem is the sponsors wanting to be associated with these types of car. Dumb.
I thought the 93 Williams was supposed to be faster in the turns because of traction control/active suspension than the McLaren? In the straights it is crazy how quickly Prost catches Senna though. I dont think that year of McLaren was down on power. Am I missing something?
Liked V10 sound, F1 should have made diverse engines from the beginning and not just one type of engine per season but V6 V8 V8 and V12 like it was in the 90s and in car racing, what's the problem?!?!
Watch closely as Prost presses and holds the yellow button at 4:37. It was the predecessor to KERS and gave the Williams-Renault FW15C a burst of additional horsepower in order to finally get past Senna.
Abdulaziz Abdullah the yellow button wasn’t for a KERS system - it was a button that altered the rake of the car via its active suspension to reduce drag on the straights so similar concept to the DRS we have today.

What a fight vs senna ❤️
Watching it give us a good idea of how good senna was.
I've always loved the 1993-94 engine sound. Rough and sweet!
I love it, a low rumbling monster.
The 2003 sound Is insane asmr for me
that renault engine
Not really. Some years Williams takes the BMW engines.
The 1998 Williams Is the best with sound!
Look at how nervous looks the '98 car compared to previous years because of the grooves tires. Also no tc on a v10, fantastic!
98 Was first year on grooved tyres, also number of grooves was different 3 on front, 4 in the rear

Video shows how Senna was a very difficult driver to race against, even with the phenomenal '93 Renault.
He was leagues ahead of everyone at that time.
dude the 2002 - 2005 engines are mental af
The greatest sound of renault engine is on the Car of Williams in a season of 1997 when Jacques Villeneuve was a Champion on that year...

The Williams drivers could lower the ride height on the car, reducing drag. I think the engineers called it push to pass
V10 1991: 14000-15000 rpm
V10 2000s: 18000rpm
Once the 2000s hit, everyone answered yes when asked how much rpm they wanted
Thanks for the upload!
Keep up the good work.

Williams FW16???
17:24 that sound
Why does the 1993 camera seem surprisingly clear?
You can see the F1 logo in the corner of the screen. I assume the footage was cleaned up and edited to use in season review footage
Almost, that was uploaded on F1's own channel and their footage is of course from raw sources and crystal clear 😁

Ford V8 vs Renault V10, that's about it 😁
The Ford V8 in the McLaren was between 640 and 730 hp, the Renault V10 was 760-780hp, so more than a hundred hp more at the start of the season
2004 by far sounds good
