Just watched the first goal in slowmo and it looks like the derby player handballed it am i the only one that saw that
American commentator mentioned it
Believe if there was var that would also make it a red card as well as a penalty for blocking the shot in the box with his hand. Not to mention that their 2nd goal would be ruled out!
@@George._.M very true ngl our third goal should've been ruled out as the ball clearly was out of play before Stacey cleared it buuut their 2 Nd goal should've been ruled out for blocking the gks sight on purpose
Yes but his momentum was taking his arm down and it is a natural position. Plus he is less than 30 cm away from the ball so even with Var there would be no penalty
I'm a Norwich follower ,but if the whistle was blown for the ball being out of play - I wouldn't think 'we should have a penalty' . I feel penalties should be given for cheating NOT because the ball hits your arm or hand .

We've lost super Andy Hughes, our set piece coach. We also lost Sara taking corners, not that Nunez isn't good at them. We've also benched Hanley, who was a stalwart on corners (drfensively).

Handball by Derby defender before the ball went out of play, so if the goal was disallowed then Norwich should have had a penalty anyway...

What a finish first goal of the game. That ball did go out but it hit the Derby defender sliding k the arm🤷♀️😊
I listened to Chris Gorehams commentary & when shown the first goal on a laptop ( no replays available) he thought the ball wasn't out of play - it was only after seeing a different angle that he realised that it should have been a goalkick ....but even if the same thing had happened against Norwich i wouldn't be saying "We need VAR" .
Occasionally referee's/assistant refs get it wrong, but mostly they get it right .

What on earth was Kenny doing for their 2nd goal. Didnt bother to run back fast enough to stop their attacker's momentum then look how slowly he turned, basically gifted them a free shot on goal, come on Kenny, sharpen it up!

Anyway forget the 'Controversial goal' - i'd be happy if NC carry on like the last couple of games where they seem just as likely to concede as score ....which makes games entertaining - improving a teams defence is most probably the hardest job for any manager.

Take away our 2 goals from out of play, and Derby's second for offside, it takes it to 1-1. Allowing for the fact we'd probably have scored from the pen (handball prior to 1st goal), we win 1-2.
Strange game, where the officials didn't cover themselves in glory, but City still did enough to take the win factually AND morally.

@@GerryHat-trick it makes no sense trying to do that . If the game had restarted at 0-0 with a goalkick ,not a Derby kick off, then everything else would be changed ....
like many matches with Norwich it seems they are good attacking , but can let a goal in at any time .

But, my comment was relating to errors by the officials, not a thesis on scientific fact. This type of comment has been made by probably millions of people over the years, when discussing a game, and I doubt it'll be the last. Being a bit less literal might well save you some angst in the future...although, as I said, you are technically correct 🙂

First goal, yes ball was out of play but should have been a penalty for hand ball just before so that evens things up.
Your second goal was offside, shouldn't stand.
Norwich's third, ball goes out of play, gets cleared for a derby throw, derby regained possession no harm done, derby lose possession and then after 2 or 3 phases Norwich score, it's not like they scored from Stacey's clearance then that would of been unfair.
@@Hanosk037 oh , has VAR improved the game ? I think not . How does a mistake by an official equate to 'Cheating' ? .
