What you hear of the crowd is what Johnny's mic is picking up (i.e. not a lot :p). Most live recordings have a dedicated crowd mic, and we had actually gotten one brought to the venue. The last minute venue change meant we ended up with a more simple audio setup which wouldn't let us use that mic, though.
