The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus performing Grim Goodbye live at Metro Theatre in Sydney on 25 February 2009
    * Ronnie Winter - Lead Vocals and Guitar * Duke Kitchens - guitars, piano, backing vocals * Joey Westwood - bass, backing vocals * Jon Wilkes - drums, backing vocals
Sprinkling their impassioned brand of alternative rock with touches of screamo, pop-punk, and metal, the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus was originally born in 2003 in Middleburg, Florida. After writing and rehearsing for 18 months with no real intentions of either performing or recording, the bandmembers were urged by several friends to pursue their music seriously. This encouragement led the guys to book themselves several local shows, much to the quick embracement of their hometown scene. As the buzz grew, the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus recorded their first EP and began relentlessly spreading their name around Florida. Despite a rapidly developing fan base, several subsequent label showcases amounted to nothing and various bandmembers either exited or were asked to leave the group. Undeterred, the band's remaining core -- vocalist Ronnie Winter and guitarist Duke Kitchens -- began to rebuild the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Soon completing the quintet were guitarist/vocalist Elias Reidy, bassist Joey Westwood, and drummer Jon Wilkes; childhood friends Reidy and Westwood had also previously played together in a metal band called In Fate's Hands. A few months after the lineup was solidified, the guys inked a deal with Virgin. Entering the studio with David Bendeth (Hawthorne Heights, Breaking Benjamin) in 2005, the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus began crafting their full-length debut. The resulting Don't You Fake It appeared in July 2006, and part of that summer was spent on the Warped Tour; the album was certified gold by the year's end, propelled by the success of the Top 40 single "Face Down." The band also contributed a track to the video game soundtrack for Madden NFL 2007. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus set to work on a follow-up album in 2007, taking a brief break in early 2008 to launch an acoustic tour of the eastern seaboard. Lonely Road was then released in February 2009, three months after the announcement that guitarist Reidy had exited the band's lineup. ~ Corey Apar, All Music Guide

    "He's flat, he sucks live"
It's the end of the set guys. He was a smoker at this time (IDK if he still is), and he's exhausted. Also this song is very personal for him so emotion plays a factor as well. Look at any of those 2015-2016 performances of Daddy by Korn. Jonathan Davis is flat from bridge onward because he's fucking crying. Ronnie's not crying here, but he is very emotional and that plays a factor.
Also the show aspect of this performance is great. Look at everyone's on-stage energy and tell me that's not infectious. I love it.

Kevin Tancinco not really. look at Sam Carter from Architects. It depends.
The truth is he was almost crying during this song because it means a lot of shit to him. You can see the pain in this one.

A lot of artist sing a song on a different styles. Specially on live perfs. If i was them, yeah, i would get tired of playing the song over ng over again years by years from the recording up to live performances. And its also exausting walking, runing jumpin on the stage then taking high notes. You can t see the exaustion at the end of the song

Hoooly Crap Dude... I Actually Really LOVE the Album-Version of this Song, Man - But Myyy GOD, The Singer is Seriously just Absolutely TEEERRIBLE in this Performance Man!! SOO Horrible, and that's coming from the Perspective of Another Musician As Well(And I Generally Never "Hate" so to say, or pick out the bad things, but rather the GOOD, to Encourage and Uplift with Positivity..) I Mean, given that this is the ONLY Live Performance I've seen of them thus-far, maybe it's not JUST this Performance... Hmm, a Little further investigation is warranted it seems, Haha. But Yea, Seriously; I Just LOVE the Album-Version of this Song, so I can't even BEGIN to Explain how Terribly Disappointed I was by the Singers GOD-Awful Performance Here.. :/ - Sucks Man

Goofy Libra I should hope so, but I ended up hearing a bunch of negative feedback about his live singing in general that’s all, still one of my favourite songs, I was just upset when I wrote my comment a year ago lol
