Btw, thanks Mike Downie. You did one hell of a job bringing together the history of the band in a lengthy doc that never once got boring. An incredible tribute to your brother and his bandmates and everyone who contributed to the band’s success.

Gord was just a madman on stage. The first time I saw them was 1999 and near the end of the show, Gord started doing this crazy dance: he was bent over at the waist, had his hands on either side of his butt and was waggling his fingers. I’ve never seen anyone do a stranger move at a concert since! At the last show I saw them play in 2007, Gord was hopping all over the stage in a small club, throwing a bandanna around. When it came to Gord playing live, you could hardly describe it.
I was one of those 11.7 viewers watching this live. When Gord Downie looses it during Grace, Too I almost died. Such a powerful, emotional performance. The whole night. Brilliant.
