For the first time ever the TCA Eastern Division held a Pre-Show in the purple hall at the York fairgrounds. It was free to the public.

I was expecting the pre-show to be mostly postwar, but I was shocked at the modern inventory and prices at the tables. I could have spent my budget there with the many things I saw and would have bought. I may have to reconsider going on Wednesday in April. Thanks for posting Shawn.

I got this right from the source. The Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday show this year was kind of an experiment. Since the TCA's got the whole premises for the week anyway even though the "Big Show" doesn't open until Thursday it was decided to try a "pre-show show" and use those otherwise empty buildings. If it works out well they'll do it again.

By Saturday purple hall was almost empty, I'm really glad to make the decision to purchase the B&O EM-1 labor day from Trainz for under 700 as didn't see one at the show for close to that $

Websites and / or business cards would be helpful for viewers to make purchases.

Unfortunately most of the vendors in the purple hall are private sellers. Most don't have cards and only want to sell at shows and not get calls, Others don't have websites. There were only 3 vendors who displayed signs. Tiny Tim;s Trains, Bobs Trainz 4U and Whitney's

That was Jay Birds Trains. He doesn't have a website. Bob's Trains 4U was also selling pre-built MTH buildings. He is on Facebook or Ebay. He has a website but it only shows a photo.

MARX ,MARX, wears the Marx?

Marx is out there but as you might expect Lionel, MTH, Atlas, Weaver, and other brands will predominate. Basically you've got to get out there and hunt. I saw Marx when I was there in April of this year but didn't pay much attention to it as I'm not interested in the brand.
