The prices shown in this video are a joke. Who pays that kinda money for a toy?

Prices are always dependent on the person. The people who attend these shows are die-hard model train lovers. Alot of the trains shown in this video are BTO or built to order and not mass produced. In that case there are only so many to go around. Because of such prices on the secondary market can be higher than the original MSRP. If there was something there I was looking for a long time the yes I would pay more. To model railroaders it's not just a toy, it's happiness and you can't put a price on that.
These are far from toys. This is big business.
