I bet , if you wanted to just add some meat, you can totally take her recipes and modify them a bit. Some porc in those meatballs would be great, especially with the walnuts and apricots
eh why does healthy have to mean meat-free? Gamey meat which can be made into meatballs like Venison is perfectly healthy for you if people do not want to eat industrial-farmed stuff. So silly.
It doesn't have to be, it sometimes can just be easier. It also doesn't work for everyone's bodies because everyone's bodies react differently to stuff. It works for her but it may not for you. It also might fit into her lifestyle better.
No one said everything healthy needs to be meat free. Niomi is plant-based and this happens to be a vegan recipe. I'm sure if you google you'll find thousands of healthy meat recipes.
That's a valid point and should be considered. But keep in mind that eliminating meat and dairy is something that has a faster impact on restoring your health. But in the long term, for meat lovers there is a middle way too. The reason why you hear that vegan eating is so healthy is because the core 'catalyst' for health is the fresh fruit and veg. So to eat healthy as a non-vegan, you'd have to eat primarily more fruit, more veg and less meat (about 70g meat per day, not more).
I absolutely adore Niomi! A wonderful and inspirational person, I am definitely going to try this recipe!

Sadly she's not vegan. She is usually plant-based but still eats egg and honey sometimes... the ethical side of veganism is not there..
