@@chetyoubetya8565 - It is NOT for a person to decide whether one kills a defenseless child or not, whether disabled or not. ALL belong to God, including people with a cold hearted attitude like yours. The time of "Gods Judgement is coming soon to this "evil world and to those who think, speak or do "evil". One can hide it from people, but the cannot hide it from God, who sees ALL the evil that people do. For "GOD" our Creator is a "JUDGE" and he will bring "TRUE" justice on those who do evil. One "cannot" mock "GOD", for HE has said "DO NOT COMMIT MURDER", for what you do to others it shall be done to you. Many woman are the "brave and strong, and many men are cowards and weak". Even a disabled child knows how to " LOVE" unconditionally. That is the lesson they teach one.

Ichigo Red Will the state give them the proper resources to look after the disabled? I think not. In many ways, many countries in Africa are failed states or societies. Corruption is endemic, they are mired in huge debts, there are many unending wars for resources, they have the highest birth rates in the world and if you add climate change into this whole mess, seems like millions in Africa are staring into the abyss. Africa it seems cannot or will not look after its own. Maybe governments are unwilling to invest in poor populations in their millions who don't pay taxes. It will be like pouring sugar into the ocean. If they have any common sense at all, population control should be a priority but it seems like nothing is done about this. So many will continue to die. They have dug themselves into this predicament.

Honestly, as someone who finally found out I have a progressive genetic illness that has caused me to become dependent, require round the clock meds, oxygen, a feeding tube, a suprapubic catheter, Central line, infusions, numerous routine surgeries, constant hospitalizations, home health, palliative health, 29 specialists I see very often, etc, I often wonder if it would've been better to have died much younger or to have never existed. For all the pain I go through physically, nothing hurts more than seeing my mom's worried face everytime I get sepsis, pneumonia, end up on a ventilator, go into some form of acute organ failure, have a heart attack, etc. Out of everything, having to give up a marriage, not being able to use my degree, having to quit working, giving up on my dream of having kids, yada yada, absolutely NOTHING compares to seeing the look on her face. I don't condone any form of murder as I believe everyone is here for a reason, but as a disabled daughter I can personally say, it's a hard road ahead for everyone involved. I'm sure they don't make this decision lightly. I really wish they had more resources to improve their quality of life.

Christianity is useless when people go to church on Sunday for an hour a day, claim to love some guy that was nailed to a cross for "our sins" then get out and start pissing on people for being poor, brown or unemployed.
Praying doesn't do anything. Some people do what they think its best for the whole family not just the one child. Different countries have different cultures- trying to convert people and saying jesus is going to help you is disrespectful.
Be thankful to G-d you are not in their shoes and move on. Shed a tear because they didn't choose to come to this world and those poor creatures suffer for the greed of the world, but don't be a hypocryte claiming praying helps. Is this offensive? Yes, but so are those naive thoughts.
You want to help? Get up and do something productive that will change things like this. Educate yourself and your family on resources that can be provided in your own country for those that need it the most, educate those around you about their health and the importance of vaccines so that we don't go back to those conditions that will more than likely end in severe dissabilities, such as polio and its consequences, etc.

Do pregnant woman know that Folic acid taken during pregnancy is the preventative measure against Spina Bifida? Any many other childhood illnesses? Do they still distribute condoms to those who work as prostitutes? And more importantly, is everyone who needs and takes condoms instructed in how to use them??
When I was working as a volunteer in Uganda, I found those were common problems that needed to be addressed. We couldn't just give someone a bottle of vitamins or a box of condoms--they MUST be instructed on what they were given, why it was given to them, and most importantly--HOW TO USE IT!! I am humbled by these mothers, I am humbled by these social workers who are doing the work of the angels, I am humbled by the gentleman social worker who so serenely and patiently listened, without judgement, and Rose, who stood up to talk to the community, I am blown away by their wisdom, kindness and compassion. My heart goes out to the Ugandan people, who even though, compared to America, they are a poor nation, yet their hearts are pure and they tell the truth. It is not easy to raise a disabled child, especially when you have many children to take care of and you are alone. It is heartbreaking that these mothers were driven to kill the child that they obviously loved, yet being abandoned to struggle to meet daily needs, they became overwhelmed. I hope things get better for all people who find themselves in this situation. My son, who had terminal muscular dystrophy and Aspurgers, who with his gifted mind, had cracked the genetic code to make muscle on his own, might very well have found the cure to his illness, which was his obsession. These children, when allowed to live, may very well take the adversity that is part of their lives, and turn it into the good for humanity, for their burden can also be their motivation, as it was for Philip, my son. No one could wake him up and I was in the shower locked in my bedroom where I couldn’t hear what was going on. When they finally got my attention, I came up to him and he was not breathing, and his eyes were rolled back in his head, and he was clearly gone. I put my hand on his cheek, and said, “Philip, it’s mom, Philip it’s MOM!” Suddenly, he came alive again and he looked at me and said mom what are you doing in here and you’re all wet! But, he told me where he went. He said he was in like a vortex, and he was traveling really, really fast, like supersonic almost, and I asked him were you scared? And, he said, oh, no, mom, it felt WONDERFUL! And, suddenly he found himself in outer space just traveling upward and he looked to the left and he saw a huge fireball that he knew was a star, and he looked to the right and he saw the planet with the rings around it, he said. (Saturn) And, he was going up, up, up until then you woke me up, mom! Why did you DO that?! Now, just where do you think someone is going when they pass planets and stars and are going upwards? That boy was on his way to heaven. I had to make a decision that night about whether I was going to try to stop him from leaving the next time or just let him go. I knew I was just trying to keep him with me for myself, that his poor body had gone as far as it could take him and I decided the next time I was going to leave him in God’s hands. He only weighed about eighty pounds by then, and the doctor couldn’t even hear his heart with his stethescope it was so weak and his lungs were down to ten percent. But, you know that boy never felt air hunger? We got him up every day, including his last day and put him in his wheelchair and we had a beautiful day together even after it became obvious that his oxygen levels had dropped so badly that we knew this would be our last day together. I finally had to crawl in bed with him and tell him to go, because he kept hanging on for me. His heart stopped three times and he would hear my voice and it would kick back on again, the medic told us. So, I whispered in his ear, that son, I am going to be ok. But, son, you need to go be with God-son, just close your eyes, and go be with God! That boy closed, his eyes, took four more breaths,….and just stopped.♥️ I couldn’t believe that this was the bad death that I had been told he would have, with air hunger and slow suffocation! That haunted me all those years and it was simply not true. He just floated away. I will forever be grateful to our loving God for the gift of that last beautiful day. He was named after my father, Philip, and after caring for him for 32 years, I missed him so terribly, he was so witty and intelligent. I missed taking care of him. Well, don’t you know that prankster had God send me two sets of grandtwins shortly after he left us?! Beautiful Identical boys, and precious Un-identical girls to add to our little granddaughter, and my heart is so full, I can hardly contain it! Thank you for asking about Philip, and may God grant you the most beautiful Christmas!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Growing up in an African country for 10 years, one unfortunate fact in many (underdeveloped) regions throughout the continent (and even in parts of South west asia, central asia and south east asia) is the undervaluing of kids with disabilities. Essentially, kids with disabilities are viewed as burdens and curses/punishments (from a supernatural force) and mothers who conceive them are often seen as insufficient and useless. The stigma that comes with that is disabling in of itself, both for the parents and the children (if they survive). The best way to stop such killings as in the video is not to simply denigrate them or use prohibitory laws, but to educate such culture entrenched communities and address their social, economic and health needs

The confession of that mother was heavy to hear. I'm saddned that things were that dere that she did what she did. It must be heavy in her heart because I believe she did love that child.
I wish that little blind girl ALL the best in the world. I wish I could wrap my arms around and give her a big warm hug. My heart just melted. God bless her wherever she is. 🙏

Worst part is, most of these people live in extreme poverty and have no other choice, they either can’t afford care for the children or desperately need an able child to have work for money.
