I think the Chinese would place J-35A in a much forward position, while at the backend would be J-11, J-10C, their Russian made Sukhoi 35 flankers, fielding the defensive positions, with occasionally auxiliary attack role Their old but still usable J-7 flying leopards will be used for cleansing purposes, cleaning up enemy positions that were damaged but not yet completely destroyed

3 engines is a hint towards continued woes in engine development. Any fuel efficiency gained by supercruise would be offset by the fuel consumption of the third engine.
