  • What do you guys think? Is making short form content worth it, or is there something greater at stake here? Is this a classic case of "going against the grain" and if so, at what cost?
Money is important, but... so is integrity.
Thanks for watching and sharing your inner thoughts with me :)

Would love to discuss a few of these topics with u.
I think you've got to find out what you want to do to help people with. You've got to decide whether or not the effect of interesting a larger audience (by reaching out by short-form content) and then having them listen (ethos). Cuz having people who are stuck in the "matrix" have a hard time listening to a 17-minute video, just like that, sounds very difficult when people push content based off of retention/watchtime/engagement. If you stick to long-form, you've got look past the numbers, and start seeing them as people. U can do this by reaching out to the people who watch you, or engage with ur content, that helps seeing past the numbers, if you don't engage with the people (not saying you don't) it's hard seeing the number of views being just numbers, and not actual people (who you are affecting).
    Just my one minute thoughts

I really appreciate your perspective. You’re right about people having low attention spans these day which creates potential for my message to be missed. Also, the point of seeing past the numbers is also a great reminder. Thank you.
I want to quickly add that with long-form content I feel like I’m being myself. But with short form content I feel like… im ‘reeling’ ppl in just for views. But this goes back to your point of ethos & seeing numbers as real people.
