Last year, when I was in 8th grade, I had a teacher who was one of the best teachers I ever had. Not only was she cool, but I loved her thoughts on school. She said that if she was in charge of the school system, she would remove grades in a heartbeat because what she wants is for us to actually LEARN. She also talked about how school doesn't teach basic life stuff like how to do taxes and how to write paychecks, so she taught us how to write paychecks, even tho I had already learned it in 5th grade lol. She would also make us write check in and check out forms every day every morning and afternoon when we were doing distance learning. In the forms, you would need to choose what mood your in. And then, at the end of the form, you have to write something you want to tell her or let her know and it can be anything. She would also try to send us emails to check up on us once in a while to see how we're doing. Little did she know that by her doing that, it made me feel less anxious about the pandemic and everything else around. If I wasn't able to talk to my parents or friends, I was able to talk to her. I know it sounds weird being able to talk to your teachers, but she just made it super easy to talk to and she ALWAYS tries to understand what we're going through as if she was a student that's our age herself! What I hated the most was when my classmates would always say that they hate her or she's the worst or she's so annoying. It's not her, it's the kids! They don't like people telling them anything when they're doing something wrong or being disrespectful, which annoys me so much. The point I'm trying to make is first, if you're a teacher, showing you care about your students really makes a difference, even tho it sometimes seems it doesn't, but trust me, it does. And two, if you're still in school, please don't take advantage of good teachers. Don't get mad when they tell you not to do something when you know you're wrong. Thanks to those who took time to read this.💕

Ye the credit system is flawed kids shouldn’t have to take an art class to pass high school nor should they have to take some other stupid “elective” to pass when those classes should be chosen and volunteered for school should only have three classes to pass English,math, and science all others should be chosen it shouldn’t be 7 hours long literally an intern camp and don’t use that excuse “it’s supposed to ready students for jobs” because that’s bullshit 90% of students don’t know what to do once they get out of high school

Truthfully, it would be a much better system if all of the levels of education operated similarly to College (without the crippling debt, of course), and stopped bothering with the tests to focus solely on the individual in question's passion but there exists something called personal interests. They are stuck.... they care, they really do, but the system has them handcuffed to this archaic process that basically disempowers them as educators...so in a way, it's threatening their very livelyhood. It's forcing them to look at the ugly truth that they never truly saw coming. They're like the Nazis that believed in Hitler's cause, then realized the reality of it all and now have to live with their decision. It's just as brutal for them as it is for the students. That's the saddest part of it all.... some teachers really want to help...

One of the most “useful” classes I have rn is tech science, and I’m learning more about tech science out of school then I am in school, I’m learning c++ while my class is only teaching me one of the most simple coding languages to learn, I do so many great things that can make me successful but none of it counts if I don’t pass that one class that doesn’t mean anything to me.

When I was in school, we just repeatedly read the same 2 books in English and literally learnt went over the same stuff again and again for 5 consecutive years in maths.
My secondary school had a food technology department, yet only made one meal in my 5 years there.
I would have rather learnt stuff like how to get a job, pay taxes, cook food and how to manage my time than being able to calculate the speed of the bullet George killed Lennie with, while enjoying a £1 frozen pizza

I dont think anyone will ever see this but when i was about 10 and in fifth grade (i was always in an advanced class) and i had just gotten diagnosed with an uncurable disease (not fatal but it changed how i live and how i function) and i had to use my phone so i could be checking my blood sugar and making sure i was okay. My fifth grade teacher was absolutely horrible. She would call me out for bad grades in front of the class and threaten to take my phone away. Whenever i tried to speak up the 2 principals would visit me and yell at me in the hallway untill i cried. At the same time i was getting bullied but a majority of the class and felt so udderly alone. When i told my parents everything they decided we should just move since we had been talking about it and when they told the principals and teachers we were moving they all immediately tried to say no no (my name) is right where she needs to be. I recently found out they all said that because i was one of the best grading students in the school. They ended up winning the blue ribbon award but only because they drove the bad grading students out with emotional abuse and treated the good grading students like royalty. I was one of the best but just because sometimes i would need to use my phone or eat something to keep me alive they hated me. I now have severe truama and am going to therapy for how self concious i am. Mrs. Simpson i hope you burn in hell because you made my life it

Same can be with Czech School System.. old communist gyms, testing, not really an education.. I can say school was useful for me to the 5th grade, then it started to be like some bad game. Just think about it, most of people who are connected with science, like Edison or Einstein, were mostly a dropouts or bad at school. School should teach kids how to make this world a better place, but its teaching how this king read this book. Sad, very sad. Internet and technology is the future, but was it made from people who cared about the school? nope

It’s really frustrating for me because whenever I’m preparing for an exam I get so stressed about getting decent grades and my brain wouldn’t consume the stuff as learning,so when I finish a big exam,I’d forgotten everything that was taught before. My best subject is English,and it has always been this way when i was very young(my native language is not eng btw),my classmates all asked me how my English is so good,but I didn’t know how to answer,until I saw this video a while ago,when I was still very small I started learning English under an environment that was not stressful at all,and there were no such things as grades or scores,it’s just me having fun,from reading very easy picture books with my mother,and slowly building up my vocabulary through the years,I was able to learn stuff and remember them because I wasn’t stressed,there was no deadlines.But my math and chemistry grades are not very great,when math started getting a little bit difficult for me I started getting stressed and discouraged about learning,I was stressed about grades so I started taking all my time to memorize the ways to solve different types of problems,or just using the dumbest ways to get the answers right because I just didn’t know the right way to calculate it,because of the stress,I was constantly worrying about new stuff they throw at us to pick up,I started forgetting what I had learned,one day I realized I needed a little more time to understand things that rely highly on logical thinking and calculating,but school didn’t give us enough time for that.What I’m saying is,if schools really want us to actually learn,then they should make it less stressful because trying to learn something under pressure is not good for students,you need to give them time and help them understand things,some students get stressed when there’s a deadline or goal,and they’d be trying to figure out a way to do it in a way that is not effective,(and maybe they couldn’t see what they’re doing wrong)because they forgot how to do it the way schools had taught them,so maybe even if they got the answers right,or scored very high for the project,but did they actually learn anything is what I’m saying.

The sad part about the teachers and the reaction of this video. They seem like they don’t want to go against the corporation that sponsors them. I always wanted to be a teacher, until I found out they were underpaid, and under appreciated. Not by the kids but the school system. The fact that the one bald headed ass teacher can say, the school system was designed to train industrial workers, goes hand in hand with his video of “Suing the school system” it goes hand in hand. Yet, no one wants to call em out. I’m glad to be where he’s from, and I’m glad that he is showing the world this content. Keep it up!! I’m so proud of you Prince Ea!! Here’s how school goes:
You wake up 7:00am.
Your first class starts at 8:30am
You go through the whole day sitting in chairs made of literal rock with bright af lights in your eyes all day all while doing classwork assignments and tests. Then, after you have worked for hours, you’re told “Go home and do some more!”
You get out of school at 3:30pm
You get home probably around 4:00pm
You do homework assignments until 5:00pm
You eat dinner probably 5:00-5:30
You work on upcoming projects from 5:30-6:30
You study for tests/quizzes 6:30-7:30
By this time, it is already dark outside and you are restricted to the confines of your house.
This schedule I just formulated is assuming you don’t have any extra curricular activities. School is a 24 hour pressure on a student, and they wonder why kids hate it so much.

As an educator of almost 30 years, I have been saying I have the answer. I think the higher ups create a curriculum just to have test scores. Not to educate. Don't get me wrong, I have been "educating" my whole career. I believe the most successful years I have had are the years I taught subjects that had no curriculum, no pacing guide, no end of course test. I was an actual professional and taught kids what they needed to know and not what was on a test that made me look like a better teacher.
I need to find these higher ups on state and national levels so that I can teach them what students really need. And it's not what they make us teach to pass their tests. Who cares if a child who is going to raise horses for a living can factor polynomials. Yes, I DID have this child in class teaching him that. Now he makes more than I do with his horses. I'm not saying they don't need math. As a math teacher I believe math is the most important subject they take. But we are teaching many(maybe most) kids the wrong math.
If you are someone who can help me get to these people, I need to help them restructure the entire math curriculum from grades 1-12. There are some kids who need exactly what is laid out. But that may be 10% or less and even them are being taught wrong. I had kids in calculus class that couldn't do or understand some maths that they should have been able to without using a calculator.
Please, get me in touch with those who will listen. I have a colleague that he and I could make math in education so much better in a few short years.
