That is a cool looking and sounding harp I've not heard of them before but they sound great and it's fantastic that there are cheaper alternatives that sound good, wonderful demonstration and playing Pat well done my friend 👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻
Have you tried the newly designed Hohner Golden Melody🤔? Many Harmonica buggers have already done it😂 Jason Ricci made a very hilarious view of it. I love the Hohner Thunderbird & Rocket low a lot. I haven't tried the Easttop Diatonic as yet..After seeing you I will😅. But their 16 Hole's Performer series's is pretty impressive.. I got it very cheap on January from ebay. I am not into Seydel. Specially their Steel reed's.. I've only one Seydel blue's.

An old generation Easttop? What’s it like? I have a couple old Brendan Power Easttop harps that are awful…the Powerbender and the Powerdraw. They were given to me by a dear friend but they are not for me at all.
I assume you've seen and played the Easttop T008K, which is built more like the Marine bands sandwich design. (Even the Marine band deluxe and Crossovers are a lot less than $125 online.)
I do high note bending, which is a bit different. My current personal project is learning the pre war blues styles of the 20/30’s so I’m playing kinda half in cross harp and half in straight harp, where you bend the top blow notes.kinda like overblowing but decades before the overblow lol
Absolutely! I mostly play 008k’s and 008s’s. I’d love to own more of the harmonica I talk about in this video but I can’t seem to find them anymore. Thanks for watching!
@@dirtypatwalsh I have bought two of them on EBay. I’ve the A harp a lot to practice with. I guess the model is actually 008K, Blues Harmonica. They have more weight to them than the Marine Bands or Special 20’s. I’m not sure why…maybe a thicker Reed plate?
@markieproductions22 I’m not sure either but I do agree…a thicker reed plate, perhaps the comb weighs more than the soft plastic or wood that Hohner uses. Before they went up to over $100 I have played Marine Band harps most of my life (I’ve been playing for 45 years now) and was very loyal, but these Easttop harps are grittier, heftier, and just as good as any Hohner I ever played. I never thought I’d be into a Chinese harp but Easttop has, with the exception of 1 harp never failed me🙂. That’s a better track record than Hohner as well.

Pat do they work as well if you've got problems with excess saliva? Im going to show a couple Yonger harps off Jim Hawkins sent me that's supposed to be good for that. I also don't like those plastic combs.
They aren’t any better than a Marine Band as far as i can tell. Im excited to see these Yonger harps! Yeah plastic combs that have that lip of plastic have always bugged me. There is just something about the feel…but if it’s flush to the mouthpiece, like on these, the T008K’s, the classic Golden Melody etc I don’t mind them…the plastic seems harder and no lip of plastic.
I got all these on eBay thru Easttop. Whenever I buy harps online I use eBay as I find great prices. Usually I like to support the local mom and pop store but it’s just too expensive and the harp selection sucks now lol.
This model is no longer available…I bought it from the easttop company on e bay a few years ago now (this is an older video) and have tried to buy more of these but they aren’t available anymore. You know, I wear a bit of beard oil in my moustache and yes…the oil rubbing on it has stripped The laquer off the cover plate. I have a couple more of these that I play but haven’t got oil rubbed on them that are still looking good, but on the whole, I’d say yes it does. Still a fantastic harp! Still plays like a dream 😎👍
