I've only recently discovered this from TH-cam recommending the amazing episode with Jonathan Ross. Watching this on my ultrawide monitor, it looks so good, 21:9 baby! Hats off to the cameraman, TV level quality.
I've got to say the two presenters are so enormously full of character that when Toyshop tour is over. These two guys have to do a podcast or something like that as they are just magic together.

Hi Clay, i had exactly the same experience having clicked on the Jonathan Ross episode. They really stand out from the pack with their banter and genuineness. And Matt's production is very professional and complements Joe and Gav's style so well. It's a real pleasure to discover a new channel that you know immediately becomes one of your favourites and that you'll follow for ages AND it reignites your passion for toys...... bugger :)

Star fleet…. Yes!!! I loved that show! I loved the way it used puppets, scale models and a man in a big robot costume to get the story across each week… not to mention the fact that Lamia was bloody gorgeous 😘 Loved this first episode guys, can’t wait for the next one 👍👍👍

Fantastic! Love seeing you guys back on tour again. Really interesting seeing what different countries in Europe are into compared to the UK. I know nothing about the X-Bomber, but if you take away the kibble it looks like a remarkably similar mold to the Terrahawks Battlehawk toy by Bandai? Did you get any Wuzzles in the end btw? Can't wait to see what the next episode has in store, keep up the great work guys!!
X-Bomber pre-dated Terrahawks by several years so possibly the other way round?
@@ExcelsiorsDomain yeah, was thinking it'd be that way round actually, but just wondered if they were somehow connected - maybe we'll never know lol!
@@robscoble1579 X-Bomber was Japanese, dubbed into Star Fleet, so actually came about wholly independently of Terrahawks although Thunderbirds is well liked in Japan I believe. Star Fleet used rod puppets unlike Thunderbirds so many people assume it's Terrahawks because that was also a new style of puppetry for Anderson shows. Anderson had actually heard of Star Fleet because it beat Terrahawks to our screens but apart from his personal interest there was no production linkage that I'm aware of. Aside from shared voice actors, actually, that's about it. The late Denise Bryer voiced both Commander Makara and Zelda from Terrahawks.
A definite TOY TIME MACHINE ...INCREDIBLE :)

I had a Super Valkyrie model kit. I didn’t know it was a model kit when I bought it. It was so complex and the instructions were Japanese. I glued my fingers together many times and soon gave up. I was 6yr old 😅
Think we’ve all been there. My dad had to cut a harrier jump jet canopy off my finger as I’d glued it to myself trying to make a model kit 😂

STAR FLEET ... seen some bandai toys, most recently a DAI-X watch, but have full dvd set, and the 7" vinyl, and 10" mini lp from the time, with posters and son of starfleet track. Recently been re-released by Sir Brian May for 40th anniversary as a collectors edition, with dai-x pendant chain...need that !!

MAC... have recently finished collecting full range, except for training tower, and hang glider, as only released in america, so import alone costs, got originally in '74 as a kid, but nowadays find not many mk1 figurees around, and action jack often listed as a mk2 figure, despite many differences.

Phew, that's a lot to digest for a pithy comment! So I won't bother, I'll drivel on for a while. Was Voltron ever sold in the UK? I know it was massive in the US, but I never saw one over here. I remember MAC, and yeh, they were bargain basement but they had their charm! That Goldorak looked like S**t, but it'd make an interesting curio...if you like that kind of thing... Yeah, going to France the first time was an eye opener for Japanese stuff!
By the way, did you play a little trick on me with Mr. Ray Dean? I'd carefully re-stuck three of the leg stickers before I noticed that the legs were turned back to front!
It's bloody hard to tell until you look closely... still, no worries, I love the crude vac formed lump!

Voltron yes was sold over here although not as readily available as elsewhere. You know I thought his legs were odd when I got him! Tricky one is our Ray! 😂😂
