I did one better and passed on some business cards and flyers to some cool guys I met earlier, I told them about this channel. I just hope that there's someone who knows about old school Hip Hop in the shop if the subject pops up 🤜🤛
Another wonderful episode ❤ Is there any chance of a new full series at any point? I wonder whether you would go visit Gav in Nuneaton? Amazing content and it is fabulous to see more of MTCM too 👍👍
Far better Sunday vintage viewing than the Antiques Roadshow. Joe's an honest bloke regarding the Moondancer figure. Turning up to check out a connoisseur's collection and then being able to buy selected gems from it is THE dream 😍
37:33 You forget how much of a big thing Themed watches were back then! I had a few but my favourite was the Zeon James Bond Watch that played the James Bond Theme Music!
Fantastic shop! Love the variety he’s got , you snagged some good bits! Love that robocop roleplay set 🤖 and another amazing collection 😮 Superb edit & presentation 😁🙌
I'm just here just to verify i'm not alone in having rooms full of toys! Great episode again guys, thanks ! a second jumbo Great Mazinger is heading it's way to me from japan. The only difference from the original you ask? nothing, other then a slight different hue in color. See you at the next TGA (Toy group anonymous)
Another jolly spiffing episode! Particularly nice to see the Buck Rogers and the Battle Of The Planets - what an ace collection! Were those pictures on the living room wall of Battlestar Galactica cast-members? Superfan-tastic!
This might sound really silly, but having grown up not having many new toys when I was small, (largely inheriting my dads and uncles leftovers - who they themselves got from older relatives) seeing these toys really cheers me up. Although I’m only 24 when I see things like old transformers, Britiains swoppets, action man etc. all makes me feel like a kid again. Strange when I think about it, how such simple objects gave multiple generations of my family much joy. Thanks for the nostalgia trip!
Thanks Joseph. You’ve just described pretty much why we make the show. That link back to the fun filled childhood days of playing with toys is strong in many people and seeing their toys again often brings back happy memories and triggers the toy joy. Thanks for watching and spread the word.
Great to see my local Lost in Toys make an appearance. Gav and Stella are lovely welcoming people and their prices are very fair. You’ve made me want to pop in again now, hope you’ve left some stuff behind! 😂 better start saving 😅
Of all the private collections you’ve brought us over the years, for me personally, Gary’s room and how it’s laid out is just perfection, that room is the dream ticket for me, thanks to Gary for letting us look and thanks to Joe for bringing it to us, can’t believe he’s moving though, the perfect room gone forever 😢
Love this show! Love the team! Honestly going through a tough time and this show cheers me up and makes me smile every time! All the best to you and yours chaps!
Hey Robert, glad we could be of assistance if you need a chat please pop us a message over on one of our social media channels. All the best Joe & Matt
Thanks guys really appreciate that, nice sometimes just to know this community has alot of love in it and everyone looks out for eachother! Means alot, I'll give you a shout and likewise. ❤
Brill show. Sudden memory from seeing the Ming toy: how I used use the plastic insert of Easter Eggs (in the 80s) as vehicles for my He Men figures. They were surprisingly effective as they skimmed over the carpet! A bit indulgent to share, but felt I had to just in case anyone else did it.
Airwolf awesome I would have bought it. 1999 when Star Wars died in my option. Buck Rogers now I'm feeling old, where's Twiki the silver robot head shaped like 😂😂. Redlight special Spock helmet. Great finds
Some minty stuff on those shelves. Always a trip seeing the often small, sometimes big changes you see going from the American market to the European one. It sometimes feels like I fell into an alternate reality, so familiar, but alien too.
@@leicestervintagetoyshop When I first saw them I wondered if they'd be split up and I could grab one. Then I realised that the whole thing is complete and it'd be sacrilege to compromise that. I may design, build and paint a surfboard and wave for some of my action figures sometime, I'm never short of ideas these days with such great inspiration ✨
Up until the age of 4 we had a tv then I got to see things at friends houses from time to time. Dukes was a definite favourite as I was obsessed with cars 👍
Love to see it! Really enjoyed this episode I love vintage sci-fi and analog stuff.. I'm still planning a visit to your shop this year which is a process because of my social anxiety but it will happen!
Bill, please let us know when you are coming in. If early or late in the day we can perhaps open up or stay open especially for you. We hope we can help you feel okay when you pay us a visit
@@leicestervintagetoyshop wow, thank you that's very kind! Don't worry I'm sure when I'm set to come you'll hear me shouting from my Rooftop! Or I may just give you a call like a normal person 😜
It's when I see collections like this I realise that I'm not a collector, I'm just a sad old dude with a few bits and pieces! Love the Gatchaman toys, I'm just looking for a loose HoundTank to complete my die-cast set. The main problem with the spikes on the front of the Buck Rogers Starfighter wasn't just that they were sharp, but that they were exactly the same distance apart as a pair of child's eyeballs, and it would've been too tempting! Kids are inventively violent, horrible little creatures. I was... 😂👍
There's a great toy museum in the castle in Prague. I like Leicester Vintage Toy Shop and the others visited on tour like a mini versions of that, but with great curators.
Gary sounds exactly like the James Bond director John Glen. Absolute carbon copy. Go listen to John Glen wittering on about directing A View to a Kill. or For Your Eyes Only, etc, etc, and you'll see what I mean.
Hello There. I have an announcement to make. The Hot Toys Shock trooper I bought today is missing the magazine for his E-11 ( the blaster in his holster ) and his thermal detonator. If you need a description here it is Thermal detonator- white can with 2 silver downwards facing clips Magazine- Black semi- curved piece with strange a strangely shaped peg and minor dry brushing Please tell me if you can find both or one of them

Wow! You got some incredible stuff from the collector. I bet you're hoping his house goes through so he lets you have another shopping spree.
Loving the Battle of the Planets selection, I've recently picked up a fair few myself so I was playing spot the ones I know nothing about!
Just awesome mate fantastic thanks for the show

Oh FFS Joe, you're not one of them are you? 'Politically Correct' about a 150yo flag?
I don’t get involved in any politics ever. I did mention the fact that the Dukes car wouldn’t be made with the confederate flag on the roof today.
the flag has been claimed by white supremacists and embodies hatred. Its not politically correct to understand its history and symbolism and how that might be problematic with a toy in a modern context.
The beginning reminds me of the Monty Python sketch "How Not to Be seen" 🥸
