The space pirate shop chap has one of the best collections i have seen on TH-cam, the perks of being in the game early i guess and with good access to items.
Oh... My... Days! Space Pirate is... GRADED HEAVEN! Absolutely Love that shop! And the Beach? I thought that Jaws was petrifying! Haha! Great episode guys!!!
Now that is a collection! What a lovely chap the owner of the Space pirate is. Thoroughly great episode and since I'm down in Dorset I think I'll be visiting at some point.
Amazing episode, probably my favourite so far (but they are all so good it's tough to pick just one). The best presenters and excellent video, editing and music as usual. Thank you!!
MASSIVELY enjoying this series - great concept and a brilliant shot in the arm for the industry and the high street. Amazing production values too. Joe and Gav were born to do this stuff! xx
Another great video guys loving this series I've been in that toyshop where he wanted £3000 it's very expensive in there I done a video myself in there can't wait for EP 4
Guys this series is truly awesome! Well done! 👌 Also Joe does a cracking demonstration of checking your mirrors aswell as your blind spot when driving at 2:02 ... Informative and fun 🤣
I used to live in Falmouth and the best thing about Redruth used to be driving through it to get somewhere else! However...now I know that there is an absolute goldmine of toy wonder I am going to adjust the coordinates and blast my way over there!
Thanks for the feedback. Don’t worry there’s a couple of big Doctor Who items ahead. We have loads of Doctor Who toys in the shop (which is probably why Joe & Gav scoot past them 😂) I’ve managed to sneak a few Doctor Who references in. We did a Doctor Who Monsters Special on this channel before the tour.
Loving this series..and regarding those Simpsons playmates figures I've got every single one except the " now and then " playset release which I actually had and foolishly sold..!!
I always go into the space pirate when I'm back home in Cornwall, I went in this summer with some friends. Always a great shop! And seeing the collection room in person is brilliant.
Another great episode. The graded stuff is great but never been into that myself. Perhaps I am the wrong generation of collector as there was no such thing when I started. And I like to handle!!!
Another great episode, thank you for making this series, so much enthusiasm and fun throughout :) I especially liked the catalogues (at 16:00) as I used to enjoy browsing 80's Scalextric /Lego ones as a teenager. Cheers & all the best.
Loving the series you guys everything about it is awesome! My knowledge on toys if fairly good but you guys are off the charts! I need to pay a visit to your shop ASAP! 👍
Blown away by that vintage starwars collection! Also why it's all graded?! 😩 I understand but not for me. Amazing collection though and seems a lovely bloke. Why are none of these on Facebook?! A travesty 😔 fantastic episode yet again lads
It's a good series. My bone to pick is this dude gets sweet deals BUT probably sells it at the triple the price back at his shop. If he was just collector I wouldn't have a problem....
Thinking about it, it does seem a bit muggy. But there again, they're all traders and business owners trying to make a profit, at the end of the day. Suppose the thinking on this channel is that they've given shops extra publicity and free exposure to a big audience of collectors that they wouldn't otherwise have had, and that is equivalent or better to higher price tags.
24:57 he's open for business for only four hours a day? Dream life, where do I get a job like that (and yeah, I know the rest of his day is spent trading or stocking or cleaning or doing accounting and that)
12:47 No offense to him but all I see is a cardboard box, grading seems silly to me but at least the loose ones in acrylic boxes can be seen. Same thing with video games sealed forever, reproduction boxes are a good thing indeed. Just glad Joe said something to preserve what little sanity us collectors have. ^_^
Brilliant series. I have binge watched about 10 episodes in a row now! Just out of interest, are you two business partners or is it one of you who owns the store?
Enjoyed everyone up till we get to Space Pirate . I understand the business of grading comics but grading toys and sealing them away in perspex seems to me quite sad to me . I'm sure I will upset some folks but its only my opinion . Still guys - its a great series !!!
Yep, we understand that position. There’s a lot of reasons to grade and a lot of reasons not to grade. We will be making a film soon discussing this. 👍
A secondhand car from the 1970s unused with no miles on it would be virtually useless, though, as even after a bit of wear it probably would be expensive and difficult to service with the correct parts, inefficient and unlikely to run well on modern fuel, plus probably unsafe to drive on anything but quiet country lanes.
9:04 Dang you make it sound like people that make low budget films don't want bigger budgets lol. Full Moon had their heyday in the 90s when all the cylinders were firing and output was pretty good for the standards Egs. Puppet Master, Robot Jox, Trancers. If you're talking about Full Moon now then yeah very low quality, how many Evil Bong and Gingerdead Man sequels can anyone make? :P I don't think they ever fully recovered from the industry wide CGI change over since their practical effects got worse and their CGI sucks.
OT but I really look askance at Full Moon and at Max Band. When your son (Alex Band, in this case) endures CSA and as a parent you don't notice or do anything about it, it's a bad look. Not to mention raising a young son in a Hollywood environment and exposing him prematurely to mature adult situations. It's no wonder Alex turned out like he did.
Respect to collectors, but as 21st Century people aren't we worried about generating even more plastic manufacture/waste, on top of the copious amounts from old toys & packaging we already have to deal with? Not having a go, just genuinely interested in how collectors with ecological awareness reconcile this. I suppose one could say that it's a method of archival preservation intended to last, and one day meant to inform historically, but...even still, it's so much plastic that will never biodegrade, and that has a limited appeal and value to a small niche of people. Likewise with old vintage cars, I don't understand the resources poured into that, either.
Well his shops getting robbed. Fellas sitting on a massive fortune of rare star wars toys and he literally advertises it to the world 😂 Just a joke like but got to be careful.
this should be a tv series
It’s the series that keeps on giving. My favourite weekly programme at the moment on any media.
This series is GOLD thank you!
Cracking good episode!!

Im not a fan of graded pieces but Space Pirate has one of the best collections I've ever seen..... what a very lucky man
I'm sure luck hasn't got much to do with it, more like spending a lot of dosh. A whole boat load by the looks of it.
@@davidnorton2473 And just being an older man, who's probably been at it since childhood forty years ago.
That first shop was great 👍 all that graded Vintage Star Wars was top draw🥸
WOW. Space Pirate is an actual toy museum. Fascinating archive.
Anyone else find these videos strangely relaxing??? I now use them for sleep.
You two were made for this! Such a highlight to the week. Thank you for sharing the adventure with us.
Another great episode. That Gentle Giant Jumbo 3-pack was a steal at £150! Individual Jumbo figures are often £100 to £150.
Great episode! They get better and better with each one. Thank you for all the great entertainment!
Now that is a collection! What a lovely chap the owner of the Space pirate is. Thoroughly great episode and since I'm down in Dorset I think I'll be visiting at some point.
Space pirate's star wars collection is simply mind blowing 😲 thanks for taking us on this tour with you 👍🙂
That's it, I'm hooked🙌🏻
Space pirate shop looks AMAZING... Great collection love this series more than the Mandalorian.
Amazing episode, probably my favourite so far (but they are all so good it's tough to pick just one). The best presenters and excellent video, editing and music as usual. Thank you!!

You guys are great & I’m loving this show! It does break my heart when you walk past all the Doctor Who merch though 😩🤣

I always go into the space pirate when I'm back home in Cornwall, I went in this summer with some friends. Always a great shop! And seeing the collection room in person is brilliant.
Space Pirate has an unbelievable collection. My word. Don't grade the Falcons though!!
Wow, just wow
been so looking forward this episode!!!!!
Great video one of the best so far
Fair description of Redruth!
Fantastic another episode 👍🏽
That’s my ole m8 Pete aka space pirate bless him. Good bloke to know for collectibles. 👍
Loving this series. Happy Birthday to Matt the camera man!

Awesome collection
Lol J.C. Penney....yeah those were so common in the Chicago area...now almost priceless lol
Brilliant video, very interesting...
New subscriber to your channel and i think you guys are brilliant!
Good enough to present on TV, not just TH-cam!
Keep up the good work. 🙂

Gav is a proper goth at heart so it seems. Who else would read Clive Barker fully clothed with an umbrella at the beach ha ha
He clearly hates the beach, another hallmark of a classic old goth👍

Peter's accent is just lovely isn't it😅
Just wow
Dang! He's got a "Cool Mill" in grading alone!
21:24 the betrayal in his voice man

im surprised he doesn't just keep that starwars collection in a vacuumed sealed room with no windows!
So the grade for those mail away figs is for the condition of the box. Sounds legitimate. Might not even have the figure inside! How ridiculous.
12:47 No offense to him but all I see is a cardboard box, grading seems silly to me but at least the loose ones in acrylic boxes can be seen. It’s Joes shop. Gav is a full time collector and works with Joe in the shop as well as running his various art businesses and projects 👍
And thanks for watching!! You will enjoy series 2 I am sure
9:57 A Simpsons figure of Joe ... who knew?
Another great video, I was after your gentle giant Wampa but of course you wanna keep it, how's much for the droid boxset?

Totally disagree with your comments about full moon toys. I have the pinhead exclusive figure and love it. The neca ones are way too small.

Show more marvel and dc plz
There is some in the episodes to come 👍
Who actually "grades" stuff?
In the U.K. it’s primarily a company called UKG.
Sand manufacturers.
Wonder if the publicity generated from this series is paying for the petrol to get to all these far-flung shops?
Ha! We wish! No with the amount of views our channel currently gets we don’t make any money from it yet sadly. Maybe one day.

I think there’s some clever editing that’s been used there. The collection might not be where it seems to be 🤨
@@TheBedBreakfastMen smart if he does. Amazing collection he has there be a shame for all it to be wasted.
