Great to see the excitement building in the group as the guitar solo progressed. Amazing performance of this very likeable bouncy tune.
What is his beauty is he plays guitar in a very technical way but also plays just like he's singing.
Nice to hear this tune. I've always liked the Pat Martino recording from the 70s. And Kurt is a wonderful player.
This is one of cthe coolest and most elegant compositions I have heard (and tried to play well)...Mr.Golson, the composer.

Check out Pat Martino's smokin' version on Consciousness. Not to take anything away from Kurt. Just one of my favorite Pat Martino solos. That was the version that made me fall in love with the song.
Kurt really is an elite guitarist and musician and one of my biggest inspirations now that most of the old legends have passed. The Peter Beets Trio is exceptional too, exactly my kind of jazz with tasteful improv and style. I would love to be around musicians of this calibre, I'd learn a lot!

Wow.. I had heard this guy on WGBH 89.7 like 20 years ago...he was spectacular then, just as much so now. Perhaps in some different ways.

Kurt opened his first set at the Village Vanguard the other night (8/8/18) with this tune. He's an ASTOUNDING player -- and a very nice guy as well.

The peter beets trio look like models, or actors playing musicians. Interesting to hear how the tune effects the playing.
Wish the piano wasn't so low in the mix.
Mix was really basic. Just a Zoom Pro 6 with stereo out which is mastered.
