Sorry that I did not do an update video. Yes I did get the jaguar working, I did not take It to the dealership, I had already order a secondary uncut key from eBay, all I did was contact the dealership and told them that I needed the uncut key CUT, I sent them that along with proof of ownership and when I received both keys back I just did the sequence myself AKA programming and the car started right back up
David Ramirez - Hello David. I’m having the same problem with my Jaguar. Do you mind putting up a link of the uncut key you bought from eBay? My car has been sitting for 2 years with this issue & I hope this solves my problem. Thank you!
im having the same issue rt now was ur keys working and starting the car berfore u started having that issue. cause one day my car just went into that mode. so i might have to get a new key cut and programmed then?
@@notjustfashionbutalifestyl6244 yes it was, but i only had one key, so I had to get an additional key made and did the key programming sequence. I found a video on you tube that shows you how to do the sequence, but you have to have both keys present at the time.
The key fob may have been programmed to the car BUT the key part IS CODED the the cars electronics and if it is not the original key IT HAS NOT BEEN CODED. This must be done at the dealer OR a locksmith who has the equipment WHICH IS SPECIALIZED. If you have AAA they will reimburse part of your locksmith bill
Forgot to add,any decent key cutting for Car, should be able to do this for you, as listed elbow, my other comment, that's where I got mine done, as I only had one car key when I bought it, now both keys start the car, otherwise without getting the car key programmed, it dill just iMessage up with security failure, all the best Alan
Just take apart the key fobs and make sure chip from original is put into new keys.. they have something like a decoder incorporation in the key fobs. When you used the new key, it’s not compatible with your car.. if you don’t have your original key(security chip). Might be SOL.
Hola Savid tengo ese problema no prende hace tiempo lo habia hecho y le di varias veces para atra y para enfrente la llave y de repente prendio Pero ahira esta parado por no encender desde hace 6 meses Que hago o a do de te llamo o algun email
Try to remove your glove box, go to the Body Processing & Alarm System Module, unhook it, unhook the battery and leave it for an hour. Then, rehook everything back up, rehook the battery and then see what happens.
Dalton Ferguson , sorry but nothing happen. still not starting. I should be getting my secondary soon from the dealership and I will try the programming
Hi David! I'm having the same problem as you but for me I have the spare key and still the car won't start. I have the uncut key, had it diagnosed and it says security failure. I tried key reprogramming and it didn't work too so do you have any suggestions?
Any decent car company that sells car key,s where you get them cut, should be able to use computer to plug into your car, and get your car to recognise your spare key, otherwise just comes up with security failure, it's because even though you paired the key to open doors and switch on electrics, it will not start your car, without getting it computer programmed to your car co outer, it costs £50 to get it done, and then it will start your engine, all the best Alan
You just need to go to any local garage, or even a Watch shop Timpsons who do key cutting, they have a computer program that needs to go to your car, this dill program car computer to Recognise your key, otherwise you are just left with a key to open doors and electrics of your car, and locks it, Once you get aconputer program fed into your car computer it will then work and start the Engine, this is why it's coming up with the failure message on your car Binacle Dials, Once you get this Programing done , the key willl start your car, &50 Timpsons key cutting and watch shop did my car computer program, for fifty pounds, this is the way jaguar also do there key,s, hope this helps you Alan
