You can take the valve cover off when the engine is cold and not expect any spillage. If your engine is warm or was ran not long before you take the valve cover off then you can expect some oil seeping out. Also, the valves don’t adjust. Since the lifters are hydraulic, they are meant to pump up with oil upon start up and take up the spare clearance. I’ll go over it in a video soon

Those books are quite handy. Especially for rebuilds. Nice Channel! I'm going through a 64 scout 80
Make sure to wipe down the new oil filter seals with fresh oil before installation to avoid leaks. Good looking Scout! Keep the videos coming!
Make sure your U-joints are good and strong if you use your scout for towing or snow plowing........

If you need oil with additives, why nor use Rotella-T which has zinc additives already in the oil..........
