- It's another MR2sday! I decided to pull the trigger on tire lettering for my wide body mr2 turbo. It was a bit more difficult than I had originally expected. Nakai san is a tire artist. Hope this helps you guys that want to try this at home!

I use manilla folder for my stencil. Sick MR2 man, yea I'm all about that kanjo style! I don't have adobe and all that mine is strictly stencils from home depot,I pressed the manilla against my wheel and tire til the pattern presses through then I cut.

With the cardstock method you could use 3m spray adhesive on the back to.make it stick to the tire and seal better.
If you used the vinyl with a tire lettering marker, it would be more permanent and come out a little bit cleaner, no overspray but other than that great idea and sick build !

You can also use one of those paint pens. That they use for touch ups. Just throwing ideas out there if you want to free hand it.

Lol I live in Oklahoma about 2yrs ago I tried those letter tire markers for about $3 bucks a piece on amazon ... 3 days oh man lesson learned ...lol I'm so glad you showed us this video 😁

this is dope but the spray paint doesn't last to long and it gets dirty, i think a cool idea would be to use white flex-seal because its practically rubber in a can and you could scrub it to clean it and it wouldn't come off.

Or get rubber sheets or ptfe cut it to shape and bond it with flexible rubber glue last longer and pop more easier to clean but still good

i get asked this often too .. honestly , try and fail, retry till you get what you wanted , research and practice to know what to use in what situation to get the right results . you can do it! just try and don't let go your goals

I already know this won't last for shit... the paint will crack and yellow within a week, when your tyre flexes it will flake straight away.

you can't spray paint steaks. maybe chicken, but not red meat.
Next 2 weeks. It'll dirty and ugly. Tire letter is BS even with rubber material.

If you paint directly on the tire try using adhesion promoter first then paint. Will last a lot longer
