Bags are my favorite. I'd rather not mess with rolls. In my last bank bag, I had almost 10 lbs of copper and 35 Wheaties. Best bank bag I've had so far.
I think maybe I'll ask him to Kee an eye on them, if he sees one especially brown, with less shine to give me a call. this bag was not as good as going through two of my normal boxes. But I'm sure they can vary a lot
My bank has talked me out of buying their $100 nickel bags as they say thru get the loose nickles like me...I did buy one in 2022 and, yeah, it had almost nothing before 60... and the few were 58D, 59D.. They have told me the penny bags are also from collector discards
I thought I saw some shield cents. You are very welcome! My preference is bags. I have found a lot more keepers from bags. I can process many more cents when I don't have to fiddle with the paper rolls.
@@TwoshedsGabby Sometimes, the bank will hand the bag of cents to me in the burlap bags. You'd be surprised how many country-side banks would be willing to sell you a $50 bag of cents. It saves them time and money when they don't have to send them back to the Fed.
@dsGabby Although you got less copper than you hoped for, you did get an older Canadian coin. There is probably a trade-off with the copper quantity, but you will likely get more rare coins. Plus, how much time do you spend unwrapping rolls? Never mind the possibility of a knife injury.
The unwrapping rolls is literally seconds, and the paper is used to start my little fires we enjoy, but I'm still very interested in seeing what I find in the bags. I will continue getting them
I am going to try and get a bag. I really enjoyed the vid but did miss your stories of your ne'er-do-well days.. Whenever I see a pair hitchhiking, I always think of your wild story.
I would have bought them in a heartbeat! Bought $18.00of hand rolls 2 /1930 27 /40 30 /50 10 Canadian some rolls had 50coopers some rolls were printed with a bank gone for 35 or 40yrs and one2009 Lincoln that came from 2$ of bank rolls series plus 1 dime!
I would love finding rolls like that, how cool. I think I'll keep getting these bags every few weeks, you never know when one will be an amazing dump of old stuff.
Good video Sir! Are you interested in selling the 2000 through 2012 Canadian magnetic and non magnetic? Maybe I could give you list? Maybe a few other years?
If they are copper, between 1959 and 1982, they go into my copper penny hoard. Regardless of what they look like. But I also find a lot of crusty, nasty looking pennies that are newer. I don't really know what to do with them. They won't go through the coin machine, and when I tried to take a bunch to one of my bank branches, they refused them. Seems to me should have to take them and return them to the fed

Thank you again. Well with just one bag under my belt, it was not as good as two boxes for me, but I will certainly give it a few more tries

I'll have to ask more often, but the bank I got these from will have as many as I want. Apparently about 6 available per week
