Fantastic! My grandfather was a sign painter.
He came from Mexico, born 1898 and had his little shop in the Mission district in San Francisco.
I still remember the charcoal sticks, 1 Shot paint and mall stick!!

    My man...
I could watch you do this all day. You certainly have the touch.
Nothing like the feel of a brush in your hand. The twist is second nature.
Really liked your Christmas sign. Love that vintage look.
Glad we still have guys like you in the biz. Best of luck to ya.

Another great video! This one was a little different. Aside from the soundtrack and the time lapse speed, you really looked you were enjoying this one! From the drawing to the completed piece you seemed to be in the zone with a good flow. I'm not sure if the G in "Painting" was meant to level off like it does, but i dig it! Love the typography! Thanks for sharing! Super chill.

These lettering tutorials always leave out the most important part .... how to get your letters you started from bunching up at the end or having too much space leftover!

Nice video . I just have a question. Why didnt you draw the letters directly on the yellow board?

Hi jeevees, thanks for enjoying the videos. I'm a little confused by the question though. I don't mix anything with my paints to brighten them of that is what you mean.
      I hope that helps!

Why is your brown so watery?? Too much turps?

Yeah, definitely. At the time I was using synthetic brushes, which didn't hold paint well, and with the cardstock, it tended to soak more paint and not spread well.
Between the pair I came to the conclusion that funnier was better
