I took my class online through Hypnobabies: www.hypnobabies-store.com/?ref-hyp=shaylachristine If you're interested in getting on the email list for updated blog posts please hop on here: mailchi.mp/b220ee310651/guidesignup I also wrote a blog post about it: living.blog/2020/07/09/my-hypnobirthing-birth-story/
I had 4 babies (all back labor, 9+ lbs., all natural) and l never had that mushy gushy “I’m in love” moment as soon as they were born. I was too exhausted to appreciate what just happened. It took months, maybe a year to get over the trauma of my first birth and really love my baby. He’s 39 now and I kinda like him.
I appreciate this so much. You sound like my mom, who I know loves me endlessly…but she just kind of likes me 😂😂 but I mostly appreciate the honestly with the exhaustion and not having an immediate love. Birth is a lot. Hormones are a lot.
Lol that last bit cracked me up 🤣 you sound like my granny when she told me she's glad I had an epidural to make up for generations of women in our family who didn't have that option 🤣 we both had sunny side up babies with back labor. She had 3 kids, I'm on #2 😅
Im so happy you said it can take a while to feel that connection with your baby. For a month I thought something was wrong with me because I didnt feel this beautiful bond everyone talks about right after delivery. I wish someone told me it was normal and I wasnt an awful mom for it... I spent over a month crying, starring at my daughter thinking I wasnt meant to be a mom.. 1 year later and we are best friends and shes my world. IT IS NORMAL. IT IS OKAY.
It's so cool because everything you were asking for, delayed cord clamping, skin to skin, delayed body washing, etc., are standard practice for my hospital! The labor and delivery liaison said that if hospitals are following scientific research then they should be doing everything that way too. I'm so excited to be giving birth again, so I'm really enjoying hearing people's birthing stories!
I don’t recognize you but I know you’re mine was exactly how I felt for weeks, maybe months... it’s like having to make a new friend but also feeling that intense responsibility to keep that new friend safe and healthy.
I’m 3 weeks away from having my first baby, and tell me why this is the best L&D video I’ve ever seen, you got me sobbing and laughing all at the same time 😂❤
I am 39 weeks 2 days and this story was the exact one I needed to hear!! I love that you said you were open to an epidural if you needed it to progress but wasn't your first choice and you never felt like you needed one. I am holding on to that tightly! :)
I am 34 weeks and have listened to a lot of birth stories. This is hands down the one I resonate with the most. Sounds like we are right on par with how we want/wanted it to go. Hoping with all my heart that I have a similar experience to you! Also ‘No Seth, this is transition’ - I’ve never laughed or gone back and watched a part of any birth story before. You have made my day 😂 👏🏼 I feel like I can do this because of you 👍🏽
Stop that actually makes me emotional!!!!! Girl you can do this, you were made for this! Let your body do its thing! Sending you all the calm and positive labor vibes! Also dm me on IG when you have your baby and let me know!
I rarely comment on videos. I’m 7 months pregnant with first baby dreading labor and you just gave me so much PEACE❤️❤️❤️. I just laughed, smiled, and relaxed. Thanks girl 😆😘
It makes me so happy to see people talking shamelessly about not having that instant connection to baby. I remember being pregnant with my daughter and talking to her the whole time she was in my belly and feeling so connected. And then she came out and I was like who the hell are you 😂 of course the connection came. 2.5 years in and it's still developing more and more every day 💖
This was one of the best birthing videos I’ve seen and I’ve seen a bunch. Just love seeing mom’s giving life to a human. My 2nd child was born from start of the first contraction to his first breath in less than 4 hours. Kept saying “I can’t believe I have a baby” over and over again. Like I didn’t know before he was born. 😂 Enjoy every moment. It goes fast! ❤️
Best delivery Story I’ve heard in 50 years!!!!! Listening to you tell about your delivery was better than watching a video! And it’s real, down to earth true. I know I’m late but, congratulations.
This is so refreshing!! Childbirth is a beautiful natural process and, in my opinion, it has been made so “medical” I love that you went inside yourself, focused so hard, and delivered your baby! Beautiful!!
Currently binge-watching all your videos related to pregnancy and birth as I'm pregnant with my first and I'm enjoying it so much 😂 You are the perfect blend of "hippie granola" and down-to-earth with a sense of humor. It actually makes me more excited about this journey haha!
This video is so real, and I love it! I gave birth 5 weeks ago, and you hit on all the thoughts I had, which is so nice to hear from someone else. So many feels for "right after birth I don't think I can do this again. 3 months later, yeah! I can!"
How your contractions started was exactly how my entire labor went. I didn’t feel any Braxton Hicks and I didn’t feel any contractions. I didn’t even feel anything until I was 8cm and even at that point it was only pressure. I only felt pressure the entire time. My shaking didn’t start until my baby was already out.
Currently 36 weeks was watching positive natural birthing videos and came across your channel. Now a subscriber, cause girl your’re my people. I’ve binged watched various videos of yours while nesting and throwing those thumbs up because more people should know what’s up. Congrats on your new LO and thanks for the vibes you bring to the world.
I love that you tell the truth about everything I’ve never seen such a honest labor and delivery video I’m 25weeks now and I’m hoping for an unmedikated hypmobirth
omg yes yes yes on what you said about a fog being lifted after delivering. I think I had my eyes closed from like 6cm until delivery and suddenly after he was born I was like dang I didn't even know the room looked like this 😂
You are the best. I love how real you are about it all. You are so right about people not saying anything about it if glossing it all over. Even my closest friends. 🤨😕😆 I WANNA KNOW!! Lol Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I lost my baby 3 weeks ago when we were over the moon at 18 weeks pregnancy. I was planning hypnobirthing and my friend had recommended this video that I didn't get to watch back then. I'm surprised I was able to watch this now and enjoy your experience. Thank you for such an honest and fun description.
OMG!! you have just verbalized SO MANY of my L&D feelings!!! The Fog being lifted, the knowing it is your child, but literally not recognizing them and it's the weirdest thing in the world!!
Wow! Honestly? I am all over birthing videos right now and so far I have not been able to listen to an entire story that was just told... Except yours! You told it quickly and to the point and on top of it in a very funny and relatable way. I know I am a few years late, but that was interesting to hear. Congratulations to baby girl!
You are one of the few out there that can narrate and hold my interest the entire time. Your sense of humor and out look is so refreshing and uplifting! Thank you. Coming up on 6 1/2 months along, and I'm doing everything I can to prepare, stay calm, and move forward. Your words and advice has been a Game. Changer. God bless ❤️
I just stumbled across your channel and I'm laughing so hard I'm crying. I felt every single bit of this down to the tip toes of my soul. Im currently 31 weeks with #4 and I can relate to all of this. Congratulations and baby is beautiful!
This was my first time watching a video by you and I loved it. I'm 37+5 right now and getting through it via TH-cam videos telling me what to expect. I subscribed and turned on notifications. Your humor and editing is my fav.
Omg so close!!!!!! Yay!! You’ll do great let your body do it’s thang! Stoked let me know if you have any questions (because maybe they’ll make good videos too haha
This is the most honest and real recounting of labor and delivery I have scene. Your right not enough people talk about what it is really like. Not just the medical milestones but also the emotional and mental moments throughout. The lifting of a fog after baby is born, the falling asleep between contractions...100%. It is a full body experience like no other. The mental piece is also. Your brain is so involved with the process that thinking isn’t an easy task. What’s crazy is that after the labor and delivery, you remember it but you don’t. My kids are 7 and 3 and I still look at them and think, how did you get here? I remember them being born and can recount all the nuances of those days but it feels like an out of body experience like I was in the room and watching it happen. It’s hard to describe. It’s what experienced mama’s say “you remember it but you don’t”. It’s that fog. The intense experience almost puts the mind into a state of consciousness that you don’t experience otherwise. And the whole, “hi baby, but I don’t know you” is so true and I think people need to know that. I think so many people go into this thinking they will have an instant bond and are saddened or stressed when they don’t have that experience. It can take time to get to know them and that’s ok. News flash...kids continue to change as they grow so this “I don’t know you” thing happens throughout childhood. There will be moments of tight bonding and moments with less. Just keep loving them and doing whatever they need in the moment to grow. Great job mama!
Yassss 🙌 finally a down to earth, detailed AND positive natural birth story, thanks so much for sharing. I’m due in 5 days and I always wonder why woman can’t go into details with their birth. I’m always like, wellll, what happened?! This is my 2nd baby and I’m hoping to not use epidural this time, wish me luck. Thank you mama!
Right?! What happened in there!!! 😂😂 You’ve got this!!! Relax relax relax let your body and baby do it’s thing. Someone recently told me they “breathed baby down” instead of intense pushing and said sometimes she even didn’t feel like pushing and that allowed the baby to reposition a bit! 🤯
Not only was this kinda relieving for me but also hilarious. I'm 21, almost 22 weeks and labor and child birth have been so mortifying to think about but this made me feel better lol
My experience was so similar! Especially the moment when she was born and i really got to meet her.. i expected her to be familiar, but she was not.. i started feeling a true connection and love the moment she started to intentionally smile at me.. before i thought she would not mind if it was me or a nurse taking care of her..
Living On A One Way Thanks for talking about this so frankly! I do that too in my circle of friends, because I thought if inever have one friend who felt the same, at least she would know she’s not alone. You are doing us all a huge service with your platform! Much love from Canada! I subscribed after this video! ☺️
This is probably the most relatable birth story I’ve watched, thank you! I’m 36 wks and getting geared up for labor. STM and I’m freaking out bc I know what it was like so I know how much it hurts but I loved hearing your husband snack and coffee stories bc honestly thats gonna be my husband. Every birth story I’ve watched husband is like 150% ready to go and I’m like umm my husband is gonna be like babe I’m hungry LOL
Loved this. The no nonsense story. The gory bits, the weird emotions. Perfect. So much better than the plinky plonky music with the perfect birth stuff. Thank you
Gosh I love you and your story telling! I am currently 39+2 and want this baby OUT 😄 doing all the things... and will try Hypnobirthing too! Congrats again on your baby girl ❤️
Shayla, this is so strange. Just had my son (first kid) on 9/15. I watched this video before I gave birth to help mentally prepare for labor, along with about a million other unmedicated birth videos. Just watched yours again today, and realized I had almost an identical birth experience to you. Like, from beginning to end: labor starting and stopping, intense back labor, things progressing super quickly once you got to the hospital, hypnobirthing, no epidural, only pushing for 20 minutes, his hand being up by his face during birth requiring a lot of stitching...pretty much all of it. Almost makes me feel like watching your video and using it to mentally prepare helped me manifest the same birth story, lol. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing your story. It was nice to re-watch this and reflect on my own experience today to process what a wild ride labor and delivery is 💙
Thank you for sharing - loved hearing your story :) I'm due to have my first (a boy) in November and I feel like we have very similar values and want the same things for our pregnancy/birth, so it's comforting to see your story. Glad to hear that everything went well! Would definitely love to see more videos on hypnobirthing and any other techniques and tips you have for l&d. Congratulations to you and Seth!
AHHH congrats!!!! I wrote a blog all about it Labor and Delivery prep but don't judge the writing... this is why I do videos! haha! living.blog/2020/08/04/labor-delivery-prep/ I also started an email list for blogs/videos if you want to hop on that! mailchi.mp/b220ee310651/guidesignup
I’m so glad I found your videos for real. Seriously the only thing I have found so far that feels so completely where I’m at with wanting natural but practical and funny info/advice. 🙏🏼 Congrats!
Congrats! She's beautiful. Love how you told your story. Great editing. Super funny ( "I forgot the ice coffee ." - the face ) and so much info. This is by far my favorite birthing story ever. Thanks for sharing.
Just found your channel and love your blunt truth! So glad you decided to come back to earth. Please keep your pregnancy, birth & baby videos coming. Xx
Loved this video. I’m doing Hypnobirthing and am due September 20th! This was a much more encouraging birth story and loved how it wasn’t like other birthing videos talking about “raw unmediated birth” with a screaming mom on the thumbnail! Great job mama! I hope I can stick with the Hypnobirthing during labor.
I'm 36 weeks and 2 days now, and I've been watching labor videos since like month 4. I just wanna say THANK YOUUUU for being so blunt, you have calmed some of my nerves 😂😂
I just gave birth to my second son on Aug. 4, 2020..and literally like 5 minutes after he was born I looked at my husband and said, “another?” He laughed and said let’s wait a bit lol But I understand the feeling of not being connected to baby right away. It happened with my first son. I knew he was mine and I was protective of him but I didn’t feel that “unconditional” love that some mamas feel right when they see their babies. It took me a few months to get to know my first son and fall in love with him.
I’ve never seen any of your videos but this video made me so much less nervous about giving birth for the first time in February! I subscribed immediately. Your honesty is much appreciated and I can’t wait to follow you on your journey of raising your little girl.
It‘s the middle of the night, i can’t sleep so I stumbled upon this video. I was laughing so hard that my husband woke up. You are so informative, real and unbelievably funny 🧡
I've had 3 babies and I'm about to have my fourth. I came across your video because I'm studying hypnobirthing. I had all three natural births but I'd like to help more with my pain management this time. I just wanted to say I totally relate to the weird brain fog of labor. Every single baby it's like once you have the baby in your arms your like present all of a sudden. So weird , could never explain it. ❤ love it I know this video is old but just had to add that.😊
OMG Girl you are hilarious!!! I love you! This is the first video of yours I've watched and def subscribed now. I am 37 weeks with my 5th lol and all I wanna do is watch birth stories!! This is theeeee best
Giiiirl!!! I loved everything about this... and I am not a mom. It is still incredibly mind blowing to me - even working in medicine - that you GROW a HUMAN!!! 🤯 And your little one happens to be the most beautiful. 😍
I like your type of humor: similar to mine. Great informative video by the way, being 22weeks in. I got the app thanks to you(& thanks for showing us which one you use)!
OMG!! I dont know how or why your pregnant and hypnobirthing video popped up on my feed but I said, what the hell...why not, I’ll watch it. Shayla!!! Your I’m pregnant video had me laughing!! You are so genuine, down to earth, not full of fluff and you’re so honest and real!! So then I saw the next video and I just couldn’t stop laughing!!! You’re story telling is unbelievably true, raw, hilarious and so relatable....even tho I’ve never had kids and never will, I feel like how you’re describing laboring and all the things racing in your head and how you’re telling the story is what would happen to me and how I would tell my story! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 thank you for making laugh and keeping me on my toes (it’s how you tell a story, I tell ya!!)....for this I have now become a new subbie!!!!! Now I have to watch your videos from the beginning!! PS happy parenting!! 🥰👍🏼🙏🏼❤️💁🏻♀️ PSS the pop-in of your skin to skin facial expression picture was freaking priceless!!!!!! you had this “now what do I do??” 😬😳 look!! Freaking dying over here!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼🤣
This was the best birth story video I have watched. It was so funny and yet relaxing! Also really pushing me to do hypnobirthing. Thanks for the video!
girl, I love this video! I'm doing hypnobabies and I'm due in just a few days. I had the same experience.. no braxton hicks or any signs yet! This was such a positive video that helps me really look forward to the experience! :)
1. My role during contractions was severely minimized in the making of this video.. it hurts deep down just a little bit. 2. The photo pop-in of you during skin to skin had me dyyiinnggg hahah 3. Love you. You’re doing great.
I’m 7wks out from giving birth in Melbourne, Australia where we have just gone back into lockdown. This is the best birth story video I have seen: makes me feel so much more comfortable with what’s to come. You hear so many horror stories that sometimes you forget that your body just does it. Your husband sounds like mine! Very funny! Thanks so much for sharing.
Just came from your "wrong gender" video. You seem so normal! Not like a lot of the family vloggers with everything perfect. I love how normal you come across! New subscriber here!
When I had my twins (where I live you automatically deliver multiples in the OR) they had me lay flat on my back, my legs in large stirrups that were the length of my legs, strapped my legs in and told me to grab my thighs like I'm doing a crunch and push. I was like wtf I didn't do crunches before I got pregnant how am I gonna do a crunch now? GTFOH.
I have not given birth yet but I know what you mean when you say “I know that your mine but I don’t recognize you”.. I feel my son everyday and I know I love him in ways I cannot explain. But I do not know who he is, I Imagine all the time what he will be like; and I think people like you and I allow so much space for our children to flourish that we are patient to wait and to see, and be amazed by them.
36 weeks and this was the first L&D story I have watched fully because I was so intrigued about everything. I hope my L&D goes like yours! I have alot of the same wishes and just the way you describe and explained certain things made me feel so much better about giving birth. Thank you!
Omg your video just mad my day 🤣😂 my husband and I have 8 grown children and oct 14th 2021 our 10th grandbaby was born. Our youngest daughter stay with us in her last month and it was me that drove her back and forth to the hospital until Leiara was born. As it is I might be pregnant, we dont have any children between us, we dated as teens then spent 31 years looking for each other. This would definitely be a miracle and as my husband said it we are pregnant, better late than never. Hes 55 and I'm 53 and both my Grandma's, Aunts and the women in his family had babies late in life without any intervention. Who knows twins runs on both sides of my family and his. 🤣😂❤❤ thank you for sharing your beautiful story and may you and your loved ones always be blessed ❤
This was recommended and even though my baby is 20/can no longer have babies I clicked anyways. I'm glad I did you are hilarious! Congrats mom!! Subscribed
thank you so much for normalizing labor i am really nervous , my first baby and i dont know what to expect . its either a horror story or a beautiful thing and they never give details of what happened so thank you so much
You are such a great story teller, I had such a similar experience I had with all 4 of my experiences. You are going to love this journey. Embrace it and be prepared to give yourself plenty of grace.

Editing? Gold. Bad ass power? Incredible. Humor? priceless. Im a doula, loved your story, way to go mama!
Omg thank you!!! Dude you have the coolest job in the world!

"No Seth, this is transition" lmboooooooo. Congrats!
bhahahaha I knooooow!
Haha I was literally going to comment this. She’s great
Hahaha I died at that part
At that point, I also busted out laughing!!

This was the first video I have watched of yours and I was literally laughing out loud! 😂 You are hilarious. *subscribed*
hahah amazing!!! Welcome, but really I'm stoked you liked it!
Definitely agree, my first video I watched of hers and I just had to sub for more 😁
Same!!
SAME, exactly what I was thinking
Med School with Lexi me too! No Seth! I’m transitioning! 😂😂
I don’t recognize you but I know you’re mine was exactly how I felt for weeks, maybe months... it’s like having to make a new friend but also feeling that intense responsibility to keep that new friend safe and healthy.
Same here
Protective. I felt intensely protective right from the start, the lovey dovey feeling didn't come for a few more weeks
I’m 3 weeks away from having my first baby, and tell me why this is the best L&D video I’ve ever seen, you got me sobbing and laughing all at the same time 😂❤

By the time I'm commenting your little baby is here hope you and he or she is okay! X
You are so sweet, thank you! She arrived just over two weeks ago 🥰 Xx
@@Gibbbsey ah congratulations! X
This was the most honest, candid birthing story I've watch so far. Thanks for sharing!
I rarely comment on videos. I’m 7 months pregnant with first baby dreading labor and you just gave me so much PEACE❤️❤️❤️. I just laughed, smiled, and relaxed. Thanks girl 😆😘
Good!!! Read ina mays guide to child birth and skip to the second half! It will give you more peace ❤️❤️
It makes me so happy to see people talking shamelessly about not having that instant connection to baby. First video of yours I've watched and now I've subbed. This weirdly took ALL my worries away. Thank you so much! You're a godsend
Amazing!!!
hands down this is the BEST L&D story telling I've heard. I loved your delivery, pun intended!
Normally I despise when people sit and talk about their births cuz its boring but this was GOLD. Thank you 😁
Hahahaha Im glad you liked it!
This was one of the best birthing videos I’ve seen and I’ve seen a bunch. Just love seeing mom’s giving life to a human. Like I didn’t know before he was born. 😂 Enjoy every moment. It goes fast! ❤️
Omg,me too. 3hours and 45 minutes! Felt like I was going mad! Nurses kept asking me if it was my first birth because the Labour was going too fast.
Best delivery Story I’ve heard in 50 years!!!!! Listening to you tell about your delivery was better than watching a video! And it’s real, down to earth true.
I know I’m late but, congratulations.
Haha yay!!! I’m so glad you liked it!!!
Thank you ❤️❤️

Man you're so relatable. I feel like I'm listening to someone I've known forever! Thanks for sharing your story!
I had my babies 35 plus yrs ago and this is probably the most honest birth story I’ve heard. Thank you for sharing. 😊
Thank you!
This video is so real, and I love it! I gave birth 5 weeks ago, and you hit on all the thoughts I had, which is so nice to hear from someone else. So many feels for "right after birth I don't think I can do this again. 3 months later, yeah! I can!"

Omg favorite comment!!! Thank you so much you have no idea how much it means to get positive comments like this!
Priceless .. 60 year old single lady watching a strangers birth story and giggling and smilin! Thanks darling 🤗
I love that you tell the truth about everything I’ve never seen such a honest labor and delivery video I’m 25weeks now and I’m hoping for an unmedikated hypmobirth
omg yes yes yes on what you said about a fog being lifted after delivering. I think I had my eyes closed from like 6cm until delivery and suddenly after he was born I was like dang I didn't even know the room looked like this 😂
Right!!
I said “Never again” right after I birthed my first son. Now I’m once again pregnant with my 2nd one. 🙃 Oh how you forget...
Hahaha 🙌🙌 I think we’re designed to forget!
OMG I did the same... I'm pregnant with #3...
Same here after every delivery. Now I’m pregnant with baby #5! 🤣
This is by far the most refreshing and interesting birth story I’ve watched and I can tell you, I have watched hundreds. Cool vibes.
You are the best. I love how real you are about it all. You are so right about people not saying anything about it if glossing it all over. Even my closest friends. 🤨😕😆 I WANNA KNOW!! Lol
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Right!! So bizarre!
Thank you so much for these videos! It’s so reassuring to hear these things. Especially that not everyone feels the immediate bond with their babies.
Wow! Honestly? I am all over birthing videos right now and so far I have not been able to listen to an entire story that was just told... Except yours! Haha thank you! Third is on the way in 2 months 😅 wish me luck 😂😂🙌
I've had four babies and this was the best, most acurate, description of labor i have ever heard 😂 love it!
Thank you so much for this! Its such a nice change from all the fear filled or toxic positivity stories!
I just stumbled across your channel and I'm laughing so hard I'm crying. I felt every single bit of this down to the tip toes of my soul. Im currently 31 weeks with #4 and I can relate to all of this.
Congratulations and baby is beautiful!
Haha amazing!! 31 weeks?! Gaaaah so exciting!
35 weeks prego here and this is the kinda content I’m here for 😂 so up my alley with honestly and blunt funny truth to it all.
You’ve got this!!!
This is probably the best birth story video I have watched so far!
Haha that’s amazing!
One of the best labor and delivery video I have ever watch! Direct to the point, no bs, no sugar coding! Loved it!!!
My experience was so similar! Especially the moment when she was born and i really got to meet her.. i expected her to be familiar, but she was not.. i started feeling a true connection and love the moment she started to intentionally smile at me.. before i thought she would not mind if it was me or a nurse taking care of her..
YES!!!!! Me too!!!! The intentional smiles!!!
Living On A One Way Thanks for talking about this so frankly! I do that too in my circle of friends, because I thought if inever have one friend who felt the same, at least she would know she’s not alone. You are doing us all a huge service with your platform! Much love from Canada! I subscribed after this video! ☺️
I was listening to a worship song during transition and I flipped my midwife off 😂😂
omg bahahah a
me to a t 😂
That’s hilarious!
I am laughing SO hard 😂
Hahaha!
Thank you!! And a CONGRATS!!!! You’re SO CLOSE!
Oh my gooood I can’t wait. My baby girl is due in December. 😭 I’m so excited to experience labor and birth and hold my little bean!
It was nice to re-watch this and reflect on my own experience today to process what a wild ride labor and delivery is 💙
Omg hilarious (and amazing!!!) congratulations!!!
The shaking part "No, it's transition". The "You have to. -I can't. -It's for your baby. -Ok 😬". 😅😅. Thank you for this testimony. 😄
I wrote a blog all about it Labor and Delivery prep but don't judge the writing... this is why I do videos! haha! living.blog/2020/08/04/labor-delivery-prep/
I also started an email list for blogs/videos if you want to hop on that! mailchi.mp/b220ee310651/guidesignup
@@heyshayla Thank you :) I will check it out now!
This is the greatest video I’ve watched about labor! You make me feel so calm about the experience!
Hands down the best L&D video I've seen.
I’m so glad I found your videos for real. Seriously the only thing I have found so far that feels so completely where I’m at with wanting natural but practical and funny info/advice. 🙏🏼 Congrats!
Yay!!! Thank you I’m glad you’re loving it!
and congrats to you too!
Congrats! She's beautiful. Love how you told your story. Great editing. Super funny ( "I forgot the ice coffee ." - the face ) and so much info. This is by far my favorite birthing story ever. Thanks for sharing.
Omg thank you so much!! I’m glad you liked it!! Haha
Just found your channel and love your blunt truth! So glad you decided to come back to earth. Please keep your pregnancy, birth & baby videos coming. Xx
I’ll do my best!! There is so much I want to talk about!
How was it
This video just cracked me up. I love your storytelling.
I'm 36 weeks and 2 days now, and I've been watching labor videos since like month 4. I just wanna say THANK YOUUUU for being so blunt, you have calmed some of my nerves 😂😂
Good!!! You’ve got this!!
I just gave birth to my second son on Aug. 4, 2020..and literally like 5 minutes after he was born I looked at my husband and said, “another?” He laughed and said let’s wait a bit lol
But I understand the feeling of not being connected to baby right away. It happened with my first son. I knew he was mine and I was protective of him but I didn’t feel that “unconditional” love that some mamas feel right when they see their babies. It took me a few months to get to know my first son and fall in love with him.
I just found you on TH-cam and immediately subscribed- you are hysterical!!!!
Welcome!!
I've watched this video twice and greatly enjoy your humor and transparency. I loved hearing about your story! Thanks for sharing.
Oh good!! I’m so glad you find it helpful!
Amazing story--thanks for keeping it upbeat , real, and fun!
I’ve never seen any of your videos but this video made me so much less nervous about giving birth for the first time in February! I subscribed immediately. Your honesty is much appreciated and I can’t wait to follow you on your journey of raising your little girl.
Yes girl!!! Your body knows what to do, the hard part is letting it! You’ve got this!
It‘s the middle of the night, i can’t sleep so I stumbled upon this video. I was laughing so hard that my husband woke up. You are so informative, real and unbelievably funny 🧡
Bahahahaha
I've had 3 babies and I'm about to have my fourth. I came across your video because I'm studying hypnobirthing. I had all three natural births but I'd like to help more with my pain management this time. I just wanted to say I totally relate to the weird brain fog of labor. Every single baby it's like once you have the baby in your arms your like present all of a sudden. So weird , could never explain it. ❤ love it
I know this video is old but just had to add that.😊
That’s helpful!!! Bc you just don’t know what other ppls experience is!
That was great! Gone throught this 4 going on 5 times and it was fun hearing your discriptions.
OMG Girl you are hilarious!!! I love you! This is the first video of yours I've watched and def subscribed now. I am 37 weeks with my 5th lol and all I wanna do is watch birth stories!! This is theeeee best
Hahaha yay!!! Holy crap you’re a rockstar! YOUR FIFTH?! 🙌🙌🙌
This is so helpful and also making me laugh out loud - I appreciate the storytelling so much
I got the app thanks to you(& thanks for showing us which one you use)!
thanks for this so laid back story telling! Also the honesty about delayed bonding! Can totally relate! She's a cutie!
The little clip of him rubbin noses with her 🥺 my heart 😭❤
Bless it, too sweet
You are REALLY great at telling a story! This is the best birth story vid I’ve ever watched - thank you for sharing!
Haha thank you!!! I’m glad you liked it 💃
PSS the pop-in of your skin to skin facial expression picture was freaking priceless!!!!!! you had this “now what do I do??” 😬😳 look!! Freaking dying over here!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼🤣
Hahah I love allllllll of this! 🙌🙌🙌
I’m 33 weeks pregnant and this video gave me LIFE!!! 😂😂 your hilarious, baby adorable and I’m a subscriber now!
You’ve got this!!
1. My role during contractions was severely minimized in the making of this video.. it hurts deep down just a little bit.
2. The photo pop-in of you during skin to skin had me dyyiinnggg hahah
3. Love you. You’re doing great.
1. I’m deeply sorry, you know just hearing that it deeply hurt you, hurts me. 2. It’s ridiculous 3. You da best.
Of course!! You’ve got this!!!
This was the best story. Like talking to a girlfriend in the living room. Great editing!!
Just came from your "wrong gender" video. You seem so normal! Not like a lot of the family vloggers with everything perfect. I love how normal you come across! New subscriber here!
Haha thanks!! Pretty normal over here, glad you like the videos!
GTFOH.
Hahahaha you’re hilarious!!!!
This was so entertaining and inspirational to watch! I am 39 weeks and needed this positivity!
I’m so happy this popped up on my suggestions. You are wonderful. Definitely subscribing!
Ah Im so glad it was helpful!!
Exactly! She’s 4 months now and my heart is exploding but it took building that relationship for me
This is the first video I've watched from your channel- you're such a great storyteller!
Haha thank you!
36 weeks and this was the first L&D story I have watched fully because I was so intrigued about everything. I hope my L&D goes like yours! I have alot of the same wishes and just the way you describe and explained certain things made me feel so much better about giving birth. Thank you!
I would love to see a video on “dos and don’t s” such as vaccinations, tests, birth plan, etc.
Thank you for this!!
I live your storytelling so much. I am a birth educator and it was so much fun to hear your story! I'm sharing it on my facebook page. ♥️ Thank you!
Oh thank you!!
This was recommended and even though my baby is 20/can no longer have babies I clicked anyways. I'm glad I did you are hilarious! Congrats mom!! Subscribed
This was spot on. You definitely nailed the whole birthing process. I related so strongly to this whole video.
thank you so much for normalizing labor i am really nervous , my first baby and i dont know what to expect . its either a horror story or a beautiful thing and they never give details of what happened so thank you so much
You are such a great story teller, I had such a similar experience I had with all 4 of my experiences. You are going to love this journey. Embrace it and be prepared to give yourself plenty of grace.
Best advice yet! G. R. A. C. E.
