    Great video. Good pacing. The 20 minute length is perfect. And clear illustration of what each node does.

      Yes, the pacing is perfect! David, you have a natural talent of explaining stuff

    Great tutorial man, don't understand how you have so few views! How did you later on animate the growth of the minerals? Keep it up!

      I completely agree ! wish i would get that question answered as well !

      Sorry for the late reply guys. This question keeps coming up so I'll see if I can make a quick tutorial on the subject.

    I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I can't generate the iteration in the right way. The iterations appear in the interior of the original mesh and they don't expand as they should. Any idea?

    damn. this is very very nice. good job, keep em coming.
    btw how did you start learning houdini?

    Very cool thanks for sharing! Is there a way to animate it so that it starts with 1 fractal and then it starts growing?

    how do you animate the scale of each cristal over time?, I have been trying to look into VOP or Attributewrangle, but I have not founf that specific use to animate them properly

      I'll see if I can make a quick tutorial explaining the growth process.

    Great tut thankyou! Im trying to get a slightly different deformation per loop on the platonic for more variation. Also how can you mix shapes, say cubes and platonics?

    • @smyrkphace
      @smyrkphace 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok I put a switch outside the foreach with my shapes.

    • @smyrkphace
      @smyrkphace 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah it seems like the switch method works for scattering but not recursively... back to squarte one. any hints? thanks again

    Is there a way to make this growing on a surface like a sphere for example?

    • @3dMonkeyKing
      @3dMonkeyKing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes there are several ways you could have this grow on a surface. The first idea that comes to mind would be to animate a spreading effect on the surface where each new point would be a seed with some random parameters to initialize this growth process.
