5:39 This reminds me of an old joke told by Brooklyn fans. "The Dodgers have three men on base." "Which one?" For those not familiar, check out the Babe Herman hit in 1926 which led to three Dodgers at 3rd base. Herman essentially doubled into a double play.
Angel Hernandez’s name keeps popping up so negatively. How does he still have a job being so bad? Makes you wonder what dirt he knows on how many in upper MLB offices.
He sued claiming racism, and yet the players, coaches, managers, fans, corporate office, and even people who don't watch baseball, all want him gone because he sucks that bad
He didn’t sue because they tried to fire him. He sued because they refused to let him ump in the World Series. He claimed he was being racially profiled. MLB easily showed that the reason he doesn’t get tapped for the WS is because he sucks at his job. They can’t fire him because the umpire union has too much power.
The 2nd clip I thought 1st base u gotta run straight and I thought it was illegal to turn around? Other bases I get but it’s first…only one direction u can go lmaoo 4:53 also I’m surprised this doesn’t happen more 😂😂I know they usually run with one arm out so they can feel the wall n most good OF can feel the warning track when running
As far as I can see, there is no rule against turning around. Special rules for the batter-runner are that he is required to stay inside the three-foot lane when he is in the latter half of the distance to first base, and he cannot be tagged out if he overruns first base, unless he fails to immediately return to the base.

yes its also the rules of the game. video was clearly made by someone who doesnt know baseball. dropping it to get trout off the bases is a smart move as well
0:23 lol. Couldn't happen to a better umpire!
0:22 Every MLB fan's dream
true fact here
espesially angel lol
I’m sure that hitter was extremely happy when he hit Hernandez😂😂
Probably would've wished it was above the shoulders... and a line drive smoker.
Now, as terrible an umpire as he was, we cannot celebrate him getting hurt. That is wrong. He is still a human.
@@DavidRay_40 😝😝🍻
@@DavidRay_40 youre forgetting who ur talking about
0:24 he deserves this for his bad calls😂
0:40 bro stopped to call him safe at the plate and managed to be safe at first 😭😭😭😭😭

0:29 I was so happy when angel got hit
its angel not angle
5:22 That is by far the worst balk I've ever seen. And I've watched several balk compilations, plus other various MLB fail videos.
The Pirates' first baseman...like...what are you thinking?
00:33 that baseball did what the entire baseball world in US and Canada have wanted to do for years: hit Angel Hernandez.
the outro music is amazing
I am NOT a bot and I watch this channel. Very good channel with good info overall.
Bot
Nice try, bot.
The pitch he threw at 31 mph was way slower than mine which clock in at 45-50

The last time mlb tried to fire him, he sued, they just don’t want that happening again
He's so bad, it's got to be deliberate. He's sabotaging games all by himself.
He’s sued twice and suit thrown out twice. Both better calls than he’s made in his 33 years? as an ump.

Why do all of these games have small crowds?
baseball is slowly dying

The goal is for the runner to prevent a double play. By dropping to the dirt, he gives the fielder a perfect lane to get the double play.
Interestingly, in NCAA baseball, a slide is required in this case. In MLB baseball, it is not. Acuña did not play NCAA baseball, though.
The watermark in the center of the screen is as annoying as it is unnecessary.
Damn I just noticed after seeing this comment now I can’t avoid seeing it
What watermark?
Oh that
It’s small bro how is that annoying?
Imagine having the audacity to put your own watermark on broadcasted MLB games that you technically don't even have permission to use anyway. 😂
