The original voice cast of the pilot just released a farewell song, it honestly made me tear up. You should go check that out. Its called "Thank you and Goodnight" . Super excited to see you get into this, I love Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. It was actually Helluva Boss that got me into this show lol. So amazing that it started out as an indie online animation, and now we are here!
Yeah that made me cry too. There wouldn’t be a Hazbin Hotel if they weren’t there. We only just got the show, and that song made me think we were already losing it. Like a series finale.
@chronodis Literally just untrue. They held auditions for plenty of the roles, and the new VA for Angel Dust, Blake Roman, was relatively unknown before this. The main issues had to do with union contracts and the fact that the show requires Broadway-level singing ability, which a decent chunk of the original cast didn't have.
I love how Alastor's "I have a face for radio" is like a physical thing, that affects all video recordings of Alastor. Wonder if Alastor is actively controlling that or, if it just sorta happens. For example in the bit of the revised commercial for the Hazbin Hotel you can see Alastor standing just in frame to the right and the video is glitching where he's standing.
I think it just happens (SPOILERS) When Alastor is fighting Adam, while Vox is watching his drone glitches all over, but doesn't self-destruct, and it can see his face idk if this is evidence though
I have watched this a dozen times already, and I cannot believe I never caught that Adam is eating a dish colloquially known as "spare ribs". That fucking slays me.

Yeah, the events of the pilot are (thankfully) still canon to the show and it definitely makes for a more enjoyable experience, if you watch the pilot before the show. Overall loved the episodes we got so far and can't wait for next week's. Alastor remains my favorite character, with Angel Dust right behind him on 2nd place.
Just watched the episodes on Amazon prime just now. I'm so happy that the comedy, art style and songs are still there from TH-cam. Looking forward to seeing more next week.
I overall enjoyed it not perfect by any means the show is to fast paced but I am enjoying the characters the world and a few jokes made me smile and chuckle so 7/10 in my book which is still better than a lot modern adult shows so good enough for me
God these first 4 Episodes have been great and nice to see Alastor is as creepy as ever. Also...when Heaven is worse than Hell, something is clearly wrong.
Something interesting regarding world-building is that Adam and his right hand commander seem to be a lower caste of angels given their character designs. Must be the same system as hell has where pure mortal souls become lesser angels while the elder heaven-born angels look more biblically accurate.
I love your positive way of thinking and your laughter made me laugh even more) And you saved a child - I feel so much respect to you omg! Bro you're amazing!

My favorite thing I've picked up on during a second watch of the series is that when Lucifer first appears in the storybook intro, the music changes to a very pared down version of More Than Anything
Fun fact: Erika Henningsen (Charlie) is a Broadway veteran, and on her first try she sang the entirety of "Happy Day in Hell" except for the very last note, when she ran out of air XD
What I find interesting is that they don't mention God at all. The angels rule heaven, the angels created the universe, the angels created Adam and Lilith and Eve, the angels punished Lucifer, etc. It makes me wonder who the first angel was; it couldn't be an exterminator since they seem to be human-born (like Adam), but I wonder if there was only one, or if a bunch of heaven-born angels came into existence together?
God is mentioned in a comic where Lucifer confronts Archangel Gabriel but God takes a more hands off approach to ruling the cosmos and delegates decisions in Heaven to his Seraphim, Ophanim and the Humanborn Angels like the Exorcists.

I knew it!! It was the Demiurge/Nachash (called Tash in Narnia, Morgoth/Melkor in Arda, Gaunter O’Dimm in the Witcher Multiverse and Father of all Horrors in Marvel), who corrupted the humanity of the past (the Nephilim descendants of Adam and Eve, who later became extinct after the Great Flood and became Infernal Sinners or Celestial Angels), and caused the imbalance between Light and Dark in the universe. Lucifer and Lilith were doing the will of Jesus the Rabbi (Lord AO in DND Multiverse, Elpino in Arda, Aslan in Narnia and One Above All in Marvel), incarnation of the Imperishable Flame (called Dust in These Dark Materials) and Son and Messenger of God/Tengr /Manitou/Olorun,Allah,Elohim,Yahvew (Luminous Being in DND, Emperor Beyond the sea in Narnia, Eru Iluvatar/One in Arda) helping Adam and Eve, unlike the other angels, who should have been "heirs" in the work of the Aeons/Ainur (Maiar and Valar first and foremost) but who, corrupted and haughty by the influence of the Demiurge (Father and creator of all evils, the wars, the pestilences and the famines, all the natural and cosmic cataclysms, the lovecraftian monsters, the hym and the grimm races). In fact, it was the Demiurge who instilled in the angels the idea of annual extermination, so as to send the souls into his own prison: The Timeless Void (called the Below-Place in Marvel), instead of making them wander free to guard the universe (the true destination of a Human soul, instead what Heaven or Hell) in the Timeless Halls (called Crown of Creation or House of Ideas in Marvel), and after meeting the One, they follow their Fate: the Gift of Iluvatar and the Fate of the Mortals. This is also why, unlike Adam and Eve, who became angels, the human descendants of Cain, Abel and Seth became mortal and after the Great Flood and the Tower of Babel, evolved from great Apes, unlike the Atani of Arda, who were instead created by the One. But what really happens to evil souls after passing away (or extermination)….. When a soul that was evil and criminal in life dies without repentance or redemption, it becomes a wandering Undead Wraiths, condemned to wander in the Timeless Void, or in creation itself; in any case, without joy or hope, as happened to the Nazgul. They're not just dead; they are denied any kind of afterlife. In practice there is nothing for them after death, which is why, in a certain sense, they are irrecoverable.
Think about what Hell and Heaven are like. They are practically what the Nachash/Morgoth wanted Roo (the Dark) and Asha (the Light) to be, the two halves of the tree of knowledge and of the Cosmos itself, which was corrupted by the Father of All Evil himself. Hell is not the world that Dante Alighieri saw and described; it is rather the Kingdom of Chaos; hell is indeed... hell! A place pervaded by shadow! Compared to the mortal world, it is eternal. You get killed or get hurt, but you don't die. Unless angelic weapons strike you, causing souls to increase darkness, it is an endlessly repeating cycle! As well as the suffering of those damned. Isn't this too great a punishment even for the worst criminals? Many of them have already been punished on earth, so why inflict such suffering on them even after death? Is all this really necessary for the recompense of a soul? It is the Demiurge / Morgoth who wants all this, not God / One and not even Jesus / Elpino, his Son and Messenger! Is it Paradise? It's not what it looks like ! Just as hell is not intended only for the damned, Heaven is not populated only by good and just people. Paradise is a sort of prison of Light.... Just as Hell is a prison of Darkness.... They are both prisons pervaded by light and darkness. Only those who have devoted their lives to the Light (angels or Asha herself) can access Heaven, just as only those who have devoted their lives to the Darkness (demons or Roo herself) can access Hell…. But in this way they renounce their Free Will, since they are eternally chained to their devotion to the Light or the Dark, unlike "simple" mortals, who instead live a normal life, being what they really are in their independence: nor light nor dark, neither…. Yet both.

He desperately wanted back out after his leg healed so I let him back out. But he still comes back around for food and pets every now and then but he's in MUCH better shape than he was. I took in his sister who got pregnant from our other cat and now I've got 6 of those kittens in the house taking care of them and the mother.
I like Husk's voice actor, but the original one was really good. Shame. I'm glad that Angel Dust's voice is at least kinda like the original too. The first voice was really natural sounding though. I guess it's because it's an impersonation that it sounds a little weird. I'll get used to it eventually. Couldn't care less about Vag's and Charlie's voices. They're generic either way. But Alastor... thank goodness he at least sounds the same.
Man, the old Alastor va was SOOOOOO MUCH F**KING BETTER! He was the most beloved character and he got butchered the most in recasting :( Vaggie and Charli on plus, not that much, but still, Angel a little bit worse, rest IDGaF.
I think the voice actors fit their characters far better in episodes 2-4 than in episode 1, even after a rewatch. Not sure why the first episode voices don't fit nearly as well as the others. Definitely don't give up after episode 1....it gets amazing very fast :)
As a die-hard Alastor fan since the pilot, I completely disagree. As much as I love the original VA, I also really love Amir Talai's voice as Alastor. I was really worried about whether the new VA would be as good as Edward Bosco, and I'm glad that they found a worthy replacement, Amir's done a phenomenal job! I also like the rest of the new cast. The original cast will always have a special place in my heart, but the new cast has been incredible. Also, fun fact: Alastor was (at least partly, if not fully) inspired by Amir's performance of "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile" from "Annie" (the musical), so pretty fitting, I'd say.
Man, I usually don’t mind profanity at all. It doesn’t offend me or anything. But the writing in this is ROUGH. It sounds forced and unnatural. The word “GRATUITOUS” comes to mind. It was extremely distracting

@@SWTobito0702 yeah, but shouldnt the people who got in heaven be nice? Even at a superficial level? (Idk, guess we'll have to see)
@@nachocabo4221 depends on your beliefs and points of view..To me every chr***tian is a hypocritical know it all that sins just as much, if not more than non religious people.
WHY is everyone thinking all the Angels swear when it’s LITERALLY only Adam doing it so far!?
Cant wait if you react in helluva boss pilot too
i have that exact shirt holy fuck
You know why Misty wouldn’t talk on camera because she’s a spider of Alistair Alistair won’t be on camera
Did bro said oh my gaytt
I know it is hard to actually post things like this with copyright, but I like that you take pains to make cuts so they pretty unintrusive
u kinda look like gerard way
nice
please DO react to helluva boss, thatd be amazing! great video! have a lovely day!
9:46 Uhm...
My only complaint is that it feels like you are expected to have already watched the pilot
OMG, why is that such a bad thing?!?! The pilot is canon, so what? Multiple show's pilots are canon!!!
Well luckily it is very easy to find and watch it
@@RandomGuyAsking True but I feel kinda bad for the people who didn’t like they’ll be so confused.
They should've redone the Pilot for Amazon like use the new designs and VAs maybe change stuff they originally wanted to change
@@RandomGuyAsking because it is a much better introduction to the story and characters, “episode 1” feels like an episode 2. It’s still a good first episode but casual viewers would probably get more enjoyment if they covered the pilot.
Bro keep the cat
OG pilot cast was trash…
@@LeroyMcGraw-d4c Worthless reply
@@Axxidous your comment is worthless, guy.
User, you seem unnecessarily salty.
@@TheSpookychick I’m actually necessarily slightly salty.
But at least I don’t think the new cast is trash. lol
Wdym by the phrase Fuck this guy
Why do you have such a long intro
Man, the old Alastor va was SOOOOOO MUCH F**KING BETTER! He was the most beloved character and he got butchered the most in recasting :( Vaggie and Charli on plus, not that much, but still, Angel a little bit worse, rest IDGaF.
I acually like Angel's new VA more. More "femboyish" I guess lol. The voice cracks are cute.
@@robertpresley1503 Yeah, I can see that, they're not that different.
Nifty literally sounds the same, and the rest of them sound great. Both casts are fantastic.
Man, I usually don’t mind profanity at all. It doesn’t offend me or anything. But the writing in this is ROUGH. It sounds forced and unnatural. The word “GRATUITOUS” comes to mind. It was extremely distracting
Morningstar? You know this is loosely inspired by the actual Christian Bible with a few other religions sprinkled in there for flavor right
Yep that’s what I referenced throughout!
@@Omn1Media You know there's this pretty good book that has a lot more information than MorningStar, it's called "The Bible".
(And yes I'm aware that this is only loosely based off of the Christian faith and has a few other religions sprinkled in there)
@@LWviews I know, The Bible is what I'm referring to. Morningstar is from the Bible.
