I got mine around a couple of years ago, it's a great car. People think rwd drifting is easy, and it's not. Lots to learn and put into practice. Sometimes I take that knowledge to racing games like assetto corsa and forsa horizon 5.
I just got this a few weeks ago myself. I found the moving the rear top shock mount all the way out helped a lot. You can also remove the spacer from the front upper control arm to get some camber for turn ins. Don't go too far in or you'll lose your toe out. Moving the motor to the upper mount position gave it a bit more snap in transitions, then if you move the esc where the engine was you'll have the weight a bit further back without having to buy a rear mount.
I recently bought an mst rmx 2.0 rtr from Slide Dynamics. Went down to my 'local' drift club and had an awesome time. Just upgraded the servo as the stock onebate itself but they're great cars

Myself and a few of the lads went to Slide Dynamics/Kent Rc Warehouse at the weekend. Hired some rigs out and had a blast, definitely recommend for anyone thinking of getting in to it. 😄 Great vid btw 👊
I always took issue with RC drifting as well as RC boating. They always seem more fun to do than to watch......however, you've proven me wrong. I want learn to drift better. All the other commenters in the comment section are right, drifting is difficult. But, it is so fun and even funner to learn. I've truly enjoyed watching your drifting videos. Thank you so much. I can't wait to see more 1/24/1/18th scale content as well.
Have ran the rmx 2.0 kit for about 4 years at West Suffolk drift we use silver dots at our club here in Suffolk but we have the rtr as a hire car so people can give it a go. 👍
I was able to experience playing with a rwd drift rc last month in an event here in Dubai and whoa, its so hard to control, there are few moments that i drift the car nicely and it is beautiful to see, and thanks to the guy that let me play his rc drifter. They are all friendly
It's funny, as an old school car guy (50+ years) for all my years drivers and tire manufacturers were concerned with getting the most grip as possible. Then along comes this "fad" of sliding your car around. Back in the day if we wanted to do donuts etc we just inflated the tires to 50 psi which reduced the contact patch by 80% which meant it was like sliding on ice.
Wow , not sure what price I expected but I wasn't thinking £350 😯 lovely little car right enough . Guess I'll be sticking with cheap and cheerful 4wd pretend drifting for a while yet 😂😂👍

I might never have branched out into crawlers if it weren't for sub 150 quid mini crawlers 😀👍

Jeez, Phil, I'm genuinely impressed. That extra hour of practice shows, because drifting one handed while filming? Is that something you'd have thought you'd be doing, even just 2 weeks ago? Me neither, haha. Good job on that. Being an older, speed-comes-first guy, I find drifting to be very boring to watch. I get that it's very difficult to learn and requires uncommon driving skill just to be average, so I respect the class, in & of itself. I was surprised to learn that an rtr drift car isn't something common by now, so, good on the company for introducing one. Cheers!
Another great video, Sir. Good editing and camerawork getting better and better, very nice. Have you ever considered playing with lighting in your shop? Like spotlights to give your track a bit more pep? Maybe even coloured spotlights? Probably not cheap but maybe think about it. Cheers.

Just started. Ack upnin the rwd drift game, looks a mint chassis for the cost that Phil! I've gone 3 racing sakura D5 and Yokomo yd2 plus though. Now I need to do some setup research to get it dialed in. Might be long winded but would be cool to see a basic setup video? Like motor timing, sus setup and toe in/out for basics and of course the ackermann angle explanation lol Keep the vids coming though Phil 🤙🏼

Man I'm loving that m8 I have the kyosho fazer evo x but the thing is its not drifting with 4wd its power sliding drifting is done with rwd and that's where its at love this car man can see way you picked it with that body well nice bud good choice 👍

The same wheels came in my son's kit. I can't wait to get better electronics. I picked up some Traxxas electronics and they suck. Not made for drifting. 👍
for my first drift car i wanted to build one, because i know if i would have gotten an RTR one, if something breaks i would have no clue how to fix it. I went with the sakura D5, its a 100 dollar chassis but its great, whole build was around 500$
I don't have a Drift or any RC Car Club around, and I'm more into bashing with my short course Truck, but I buyed some Drift wheels time ago and Put Them on the Truck, Drift also pretty good also its 4x4 Drive 😂😂😂
Rc clubs can be fun but my local rc club where I used to race 12th scale gt cars started getting expensive. Membership of the club and weekly fee plus needing a insurance and a transponder got very expensive for the 3 or 4 5min runs each week. For drifting a empty supermarket carpark does well
I would love to see 5th scale drift become popular in petrol and electric, yes I said electric, I was a die hard gas but having the UDR and SBR clone to play with where my gas upsets friends and neighbours the electric is the way to go. Also gone 1-1 electric I am going to get some stick for that as I have motorbikes off-road buggies and muscle cars it is going to be interesting. I think your driving is getting a lot better just need more speed, not sure I could drift my brain is to set up for 5th tarmac racing and yes I know you can teach an old dog new tricks not so sure with me, I do slide around a lot driving gas and electric off-road but they are more power slides in two and four wheel drive. I do prefer two wheel drive on rad though also got a couple of HPI Baja's to feed my two wheel drive need as I learnt to drive off and on road with two wheel drive FG Marders off-road buggies and FG sport 2wd car. I started with 2wd 5th scale gas when everyone else was doing nitro and some electric 1/10th scale and some 1/8th.

I have this car for 4 months now, and its simply amazing. Sourcing parts can be hard though. If you want to drift better you can relocate the motor.

I wouldn't cut the body Phil, just use a thicker 'o'- ring on the front body posts, just to lift the front very sightly.

It is actually cheaper to buy the RTR instead of the Kit, because with shipping from buying the motor, esc, ect.... It is about 50 bucks cheaper.

I got out of drifting because how expensive it was to use the track locally. I miss drifting though!
To transform the car buy the reve’d rt-st servo and the yokomo dp-304 v4 gyro the car will feel completely different.
