Because of this guy i started with RC about 3 weeks ago, and im hooked, got me into crawling, AND I LOVE IT, its been years when i had something for myself 😒 a lot of rough years behind me. So thank you TOMLEYRC Everybody, lets get this guy to 50000 THOUSAND SUBSCRIBERS 🤟🤟👏👏
^^^ This is one of the reasons I do what I do... It's not all about me getting Free Sh*t, it's about building a community and helping people get back in to the hobby... or for new guys starting the hobby from fresh.
This is literally the same for me.. This guy got me into RCs decided to get the 124019 had that for a couple of months.. Yesterday I went out and picked up my first "Proper RC" I found a great deal local to me for a Kyosho Inferno Neo 3.0 VE I only paid £150! Came with 2x Overlander hard case 7600mah 2s Lipos! 4s and ran for about 40 minutes the batteries had hardly lost any charge i'm well impressed with it.. Its so much fun and fast! Love having a hobby and doing something for myself for once! Sorry to hear about the rough times. Lifes Sh*t sometimes but it'll get better! Thanks again Tomley, keep it up!
Phil, as you asked... HSP is a big rc car manufacturer in China, and has a few brand names themselves as well as manufacturing cars for other companies. RGT used to be their premier race spec touring car brand and is now used for their crawler line, with their race chassis being sold under the SNRC and MTS brands. HSP also rebrand and manufacture cars for many other companies, they have been sold as Redcat, Himoto, FTX, Maverick, Absima and others. This drift chassis is more well known in the western world as the Hobbyking Blaze R2, because they were the first to bring it to the attention of the world outside of China. If Hobbyking buys enough from a manufacturer, the manufacturer will put whatever spec you want in the box and whatever name you want on the front. It is based on what used to be the RGT R2 chassis, a full carbon and alloy high spec touring car first manufactured way back in 2013. This car is still sold as the SNRC R2 mainly in China, elsewhere in the world it’s distributed by Race Opt as the MTS T2, with a range of specifications and prices. It has been superceded by the MTS R3 and T3 ranges as their race chassis.
Maybe I'm too direct, but could you help me choose my first rc drift car? i would like to spend around 300€/$ I see you know lots about this little world Thanks in advance :)
Awesome! That is possibly the best skate park video I've seen! It looked so cool drifting sideways up the ramps etc. 'Iz it coz it iz like a total urban sick ride like, innit'. Lol. A welcome change from all the usual back flips huge air & destruction so common on YT. Well done! And... I am so glad you like this as I have one on order already. I was looking around for a 'cheap' first drift car & found this on BG last week & it looked the best deal. I didn't want to spend lots on a good one yet & I just couldn't face yet another TT02 build! Lol Thanks for this brilliant vid mate!
Those little blocks work the same as the ones on the back of the 144001, where it comes with the rear wheels toeing in loads!! Love the colour of that body. 👍🏻
It reminds me of my Hpi Sprint 2. Well most of these drift chassis are almost identical. The belts have somehow survived many +80mph runs with an older castle system. I pull out the front drive shafts(well...lost one)for some 2wd fun and drifting on the hard tires while the new cvds were on the way. Give that a shot.
Love this vid mate, especially after your Sakura one last week. I bought my DFR from hobbyking, didn't realise HSP had got their hands on it aswell. Had a few wheels crack and snapped a rear drive belt but it's the fun and games of RC's aye.. I've currently removed the front drive belt to see how it handles as 2WD, of course a Dumbo RC radio and gyro receiver has been slapped in mine aswell to see how that test goes. Keep the content coming, all the best!
So, I have never drifted rc, however my first ever last year was an HSP brushless rally. Awesome rig, affordable. Apparently HSP is /was the parent company of Redcat racing. Cool to see you checking this brand. cheers
Looks like an absolute hoot to drive, going on my wish list 💯👍. Keep up the good work, I watch all your content and have to say it has fired my passion for this hobby after many many years away. 😀
Looks like a fun little car to get into drifting and it's brushless and it's cheap. Will be going on my list for sure, Don't have any belt driven RC's so this would be neat. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Hey, they also made another chassis called the HSP Flying Fish, its really famous here on SEA, cause their spare parts are really easy to find and fairly priced. 4:46 you could've just said it works like pulling a handbrake 😂
Definitely is based off from the HobbyKing Blaze DFR. I had one myself back then and bought it for $99. The cheapest I’ve ever bought. HobbyKing also made the Blaze R2 which is the on road touring car version.
Mate if you think this is good, check out Sakura D5 combo, which is a really good RWD drift chassis, for barely 120€ shipped. The combo includes a rolling chassis, 13.5t brushless motor, brushless esc, tires and an unpainted body... you only need a servo, a gyro, a radio with a receiver, some painting and building to do, set the chassis up, and it's a fantastic performer... too bad they don't sell in Bangood, so you are not into that scope. But maybe you could give it a shot?
So basically this is the HPI sprint to drive/flux upgraded....wow...very nice....very tempting for me to comeback to the hobby. Quick question does the driveshaft adjustable? and what batteries does it fit? the hardcases batteries didnt fit so well with the HPI sprint to drive
We got a subbie BRZ and a scion (Toyota) FRS in the states. I can't believe tomato didn't release the Toyota one since people loved the ae86 not the scion ae86 haha 😂
Off topic Phil buy can you do a Rival ver Big Rock video? I picked up the Big Rock but I'd like to know what the difference is before my new Rival shows up. As my father always said think positive. 😁
What's up! Hope all is well! I broke the front bearing carrier where the wheel attaches to the axle. Can't find one anywhere. You have any idea where I could buy a replacement?
i'm hooked to rc i started 3 months ago with my wide body r35 gtr and everyone loves to see it drift but it doesn't feel good enough so any suggestions on what to do to make it drift like that?
Deffo ordering one at the end of the month been wanting a 1/10 drifter for the price I can't say noo lol where do you get your hardware from so I can buy some screws incase I lose any
Man I wanted one of these and nobody sells them anymore. The chassis was being sold at hobby king for 100 bucks now the only place you can get it is in China and they want 300.00 smh. Great videos as always
You know... honestly I'm going to eat my words.. watching the videos on this chassis I think I'm gonna get one dude .. I've seen someone convert it to rwd so seems like a cheep option over the yokomo If your interested in selling one please let me know buddy as it would save having to wait for shipping over from China 😅 maybe a little cheeky but I was always told you won't know unless you ask 😅

Looks like Driftin ta me. Not bad for no adjustments in a skate park! 😎👍 I like that shell too. They did good on that one.
Yes.... good fun!
6:59 That was some super clean drifting skill!
It a nice looking chassis! I really like that body shell!

Cheers dude. It was really good fun! Perfect surface at that skatepark
8.5 sensored brushless. Sounds like that was best part of the deal.

That's is a bargain price for what you get. Nice one👍🏻

Dizzy too... But it is worth watching your video. Honest, interesting and a little bit of comedy on it lol. Loved it sir and take care always.
Haha... yeah, I only realised after watching it back 😅
Awesome car!! Have a good1!!
Probably my favourite channel at the moment. Always good content plus reviews 👌. Good man tomley
Cheers dude. Appreciate it 😎👌
Nice shot man.. good job.
I run mostly HSP cars, theyre super cheap but totally worth it. Great cars.
Yes agree... looks like a decent platform
Omg Phil don't you ever stop , great content as usual , drift wheels and skate park not a good mix lol at least you've got spares ,
My wife often says that to me haha
What no backflips! At the skate park and no backflips! Haha. But great shots really loved the on and off ramp "drifting"
Haha... back flips next time 😅

yup, that'll do it for less than buying a shorter belt
Good driver Bro! Nice car, look works nice. Great video!! Have a great week!!

If I remember correctly some 1/8 glow on road cars used 1 way fronts, maybe to stop understeer. This car looks like a great option.
Clean drifts bro 👌 👍

At the Halfpipe its 3D drifting. It looks very cool.👌

Drifting is power sliding or skidding with style 😁
Either way it’s good fun & that RC looks cool 😎 👍🏻
Yes agree
..... Your prowess with a camera on a stick continues to refine,
'Cool for Cats' Man.
Blaze DFR only £75 from hobby king.👍(no electrics)
£75 for the roller... no electronics
yep that spun me out 🤣 great looking car though bud 😃👍
Awesome vid - looks like great fun
Cheers dude
I think drifting at the skate park is a great idea and really good driving on your part. Great review.
Looks like an updated virsion of hobbyking devil drift car. Iv had to replace my devil drift car as I'm unable to get parts for it

Looks like a good cheap drift car , i might just have to buy my self one instead of the SG1603/ 1604 👍🏻👊🏻🇬🇧
Thanks for sharing
It’s certainly good fun! And very easy to get the hang of!
Like the Team MAGIC drift car
Any chance you could use this for a speed running platform?
Yes I expect it could. Plenty of adjustments can be made etc
I saw this a couple weeks ago in my banggood recomended and have been wondering how it performs
Performs awesome! Certainly gets a thumbs up from me 😎
Im waiting for mine to land in the 🇬🇧 , been after a cheap brushless drifter for a while since getting the sg1604 🤣
It’s good fun 😎👌

Yes that’s maybe a good video to do
TM do a touring car and a drift car. Same platform. . Awesome cars . I haven't broken anything except 86 shell
Yes, seen that TC version 👍
cool car!
Awesome buddy👍
If you change the tires with these make a good road car?
definitely!
You will need to fit a diff in the rear and move the rear spool to the front, then its the same as the MST T2 touring car.
my heart dropped when you said Gt 85
Haha
I love drift car
There a great car. I got one last year.
That chassis looks almost identical to an snrc r3 I bought from aliexpress
The link to the car 404s, do they no longer sell this model?
Honestly, once you've got a front one way you're almost actually drifting anyway. May as well call it drifting.
Yes, not quite the same as normal 4wd drifting... loads of fun!
Great driving and filming, are Bangood delivering to UK now ?
They have been a little better recently. Still not back to normal though
Or FR-S, in Scion (RIP!) form, which is what my 1:1 version is.
Cool man! Maybe the 2nd was to give away?👍🏾👊🏾✌🏾
I don't know if you changed something in your filming style but let me tell you your going on the right direction Tom.
Not really... but so make small changes over time. Appreciate the feedback 😎👌
Car its briliant. How are the parts options?
Seems to be a pretty popular chassis. Hobbyking seems to have a good supply
I wish I could get my hands on one of these!😢 this is exactually what in looking for to get into rc drift 😓
That’s awesome 👏
It's the Blaze DFR 1/10 Scale Drift Chassis with Unpainted Body shell (Red)
I have fallen and I can’t get up I feel so dizzy. Good review how would it do on a rougher road surface
Goes better than my old tamiya tt01d or it could be the driver lol
What's up! Hope all is well! I broke the front bearing carrier where the wheel attaches to the axle. Can't find one anywhere. You have any idea where I could buy a replacement?
SN RC on aliexpress!! i have the SN RC DRR-02 works very good
Cool 👍
9:30 didn’t see what caused the damage. But drifting into lipped surfaces will definitely damage the wheels.
Yes, I think that was the main issue.... and the screws just worked their way loose I guess
This thing is awesome, so come on phil, what's the plan with the second one ????
I’ve gifted it... 👍

Can you get replacement parts for them
Yes 👍

Any chance there was a giveaway for one of these and I missed it????
