Hi Brandon great video!, Since we need 16-24 listings to jumpstart our etsy shop do we need to upload them all on the same day? or upload them every few days for each listing upload? And once you have all those listings, how often are you suppose to introduce new listings?Thank you!😊
Great question! You wouldn’t post all at the same day but you’d drip it out in a strategic way during the first couple of days. We have something called the 10-day launch plan that we walk through with our students in the Digital Freedom Academy. You can learn more from our website at brandontimothy.com/academy
We have two ebooks available: "100 Profitable Digital Product Ideas (2024 Edition)" and "The Ultimate Etsy SEO Guide (How to Rank on 1st Page)." You can find them here: www.brandontimothy.com. 😊
How much customer contact is there to sell digital products? Would love to just make $1k a month consistantly. Interested in your course and thank you for this video in advance, watching it now. Need a little upcoming retirement cushion.
Selling digital products usually involves less customer contact compared to physical products, that's why I love it. It's very sustainable. Best of luck with your retirement plans! Looking forward to having you in Digital Freedom Academy. 😊
The market. Etsy is online market like amazon (optional: you can also drive traffic from other social media if you have huge following). Shopify you need to promote your products outside I guess to drive traffic.
A question for you.. My 18yo daughter wants to start an Etsy shop and she has 7 months to diligently work on it and then will leave it alone for 18 months to go serve a church mission, then will return and resume working on it afterward. Do you think the 18 mo haitis will ruin her shop or do you think the 7 months of initial strong creation will keep it at least somewhat alive and possibly even earn her a little bit of money to come home to? (I would manage customer service and such while she was gone, there would just be no new listings.)
Yes, working on the shop for the first 7 months will be enough to get things off the ground and have built enough momentum to get it sit for the next 18 months. I have shops where I haven’t created products in 3 years and it’s still making sales to this day. I only work on the customer service which takes a couple of hours a week.
At the same time, after this store closure, I reorganized and found another friend’s information to reopen the store. It is also a virtual product, but this time I uploaded a very simple product. Then SEO may not be done well. Just a few pictures. Then I was ready to wait 7 days. If my store still exists after 7 days, I will upload new virtual products one after another. All the way up to the quantity of 16 listings you suggest. I am very distressed now, I don’t know why etsy closed the store. And they won't give me a clear answer. So I have always been very afraid and afraid of making virtual products. Because every registration information is precious. At the same time, I very much hope that you can publish an issue on how to open many stores. .
Have you tried to "Request a call from Etsy Support"? Here's the link: help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling#issue_sell_manage_listings-callback. In most cases, if you had a problem with your previous shop account, your new shop might encounter a similar issue, so it's important to resolve the problem with your first shop.
Oh but you haven't answered me yet. When opening a store, is there any risk in selling virtual products directly? Too many people give me some negative vibes. In addition, my own store was closed. So I have absolutely no idea@@brandontimothy
I heard you say that there is platform support for new listings, so the product must be added to 16 listings within 10 days. and. So these 16 listings are all brand new. It's just a different color but the content is the same, right? ?
Hey Brandon, I heard that Etsy requires your SIN number (in Canada) to open up and run a shop. I never had to share my SIN with anyone besides employers or the government. I don't know if I feel comfortable to do so... (i.e. in case personal information gets leaked). Did you need to share your SIN before reaching certain income threshold? What are your thoughts on this?
Nope, you do not need to share your SIN when you’re first starting out. You’ll only need to provide a credit card and banking information to receive payments from Etsy :)
Hi, hope you have a good weekend so far. If the item selling 3 to 4 dollars. With monthly search of over a thousand. Do you think if its worth the time to create? Thank you
Great Video, you explain everything so well, new subscriber here! I have a quick question Brandon, are the sites you mentioned, Canva & Creative Market user friendly here in the UK? Thank you 😊
Hello, I hope you can reply to my question. Because it really bothers me. I have heard many people say that virtual products can easily trigger etsy’s review, leading to store closures. They usually suggest that I get a physical product to open a store. I did open a virtual product once. But I changed the name of my operator immediately after opening the store. Then it was suspended. Applications are being submitted now. But it was rejected, so I submitted another application and am still waiting for the review by email. I don’t know if my store can be restored
Please try reaching out to the Etsy support team. You can request a call back using this link: help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling#issue_sell_manage_listings-callback. In most cases, if you had a problem with your previous store, your new shop might encounter a similar issue, so it's important to resolve the problem with your first store.
Thank you for the informational video, I used the link to open my Etsy shop. But I am not able to open Etsy shop from India as my country is not available in the list.
That's true! Etsy recently stopped accepting new sellers. But, if you're really keen on selling on Etsy, another option would be to set up a bank account in a different country that accepts Etsy payments. If you already have an account in such a country, you can try using that.
Does your professional group have a service package to research and design products? I have studied your course and found for myself that if I can spend money to run a project, it is better than doing it individually. , because even hiring or managing a team is difficult, I often have problems with designers
We don't offer a specific service package for research and product design, but a key aspect of my program is teaching you how to outsource your designs effectively.
Hello sir. I want sell my digital product but, I am so many confused because Esty don't support in India, so how can i sell my digital product. Please sir help me and give me some idea to selling my digital products online.
It's a good idea. But before you start, you should conduct market research. Understand if there's a demand for the type of designs you plan to offer and assess the existing supply in the market. This will help you see the potential success of your digital shop and make informed decisions about your offerings. Good luck! 😃
Ehi, is it only me? It seems you can make way more money selling the greating cards mokup files than the cards thenselves. As usual in the gold race those who make the real money are those who sell the showels. 😉
Hi! You can use Etsy to sell your products from India. However, Etsy Payments in India is available for export sales only. This means sellers from India can use Etsy to sell their products internationally, and the payments will be facilitated through Etsy Payments with the support of PayPal. You can learn more here: www.etsy.com/in-en/seller-handbook/article/1183344188826?ref=handbook.
Yes, that's correct. Sorry, I didn't mention it in the video but Etsy recently implemented this upfront fee requirement to ensure that new shops are committed to running a business on the platform. This nonrefundable upfront investment helps maintain the quality and integrity of the Etsy marketplace. It's definitely worth it! 🙌
I would just like to point out that the listing used as an example in this video is using copyrighted material (Paw patrol) and the shop is now closed.
Oh wow! Thanks for letting me know. It's crucial to be aware of copyright issues when using elements in products. It's always best to create original content or use elements that you have the legal right to use.
Great video! New subscriber here. How can I DM you for support? I bought your ebook, My Top 100 Profitable Digital Product Ideas but I haven’t received the email with the product.

The free photos/graphics are okay to use
