I think Dillon is referring to sulfur molecule as onion, as minerality for Dutch. Could come from the soil, the water use to dilute or the fermentation process. Either ways, its usually an unwanted flavour in spirit; produce when something went wrong. They use copper in stills to remove sulfur componant.
Just recently bought this. I was also surprised by the taste of this Blanco. I really like it, has a low price and readily available at my liquor. Cheers
Definitely one of my favorite blancos. I'd think the complexity score was high because the Blanco is a blend of highland and lowland agaves. Haven't tried the repo yet but the XA is excellent!
@@thisfool89 Honestly, I haven't enjoyed the tequilas produced by master distiller Ana Maria Romero Mena. Mijenta was way too floral for my palate, so I'm hesitant to try anything else she's involved in, like Tequila Volcán de mi Tierra.
@robertmyers5763 intresting you mention Mijenta. I literally just picked up a blonco for the first time this past weekend. While i dont think it was bad, i just didnt enjoy it as much as i enjoyed Lalo and Tesoro. I felt like the agave flavor was just a little lacking, and it was just slightly harsher on the back end. Im just starting my tequila journy. Ive allways been a tequila guy and i always knew that really mainstream tequilas like Patron were not good tequilas i had no idea what a good tequila was. I started doing my research after my father inlaw introduced me to Dobel. So far i have discovered i really prefer a very agave forward blonco, while repos and anjeos aren't really my thing for sipping, at least not the ones i have tried so far...... which isnt many.

Dillon: add some soda, lime, and a charred pickled pearl onion or two, maybe some of the brine. Call it a Dirty Ranchwater
Love your channel guys ! Agree with you, aroma is missing agave, but still a good Blanco. 80$ Canadian dollars in Quebec.
Was really good but very sweet (not additive sweet) imo. Would buy again in summer. Cost $42 near me
Its $58 in SD pretty much everywhere
Jules drank some hateraid before this review!
MX$ 1199 here in Mexico at Europea stores = US$ 65
When are you guys going to do Mezcal drink through
$58 retail not $40....But I agree Avengement is a great movie!
I got it for $35 in San Diego
Wow that is really good. Sadly it is more in the O.C.
I can find it easily for $45, $58 is definitely not retail.
@toddprit In California TW that was the price here in Brea
Underburg in the back underrated
Fuji Whisky has Mount Fuji on the bottom of the bottle. 17:12 17:15 17:16 17:17
Jules out to lunch on this one. This is one of my top Blancos.
Please do Kweichou Moutai Chinese bai qiu 😊
It’s an average Blanco. Too thin in the flavor components. Not a bad $40 blanco. Definitely would by Tequila Ocho blanco for that price point!
What would someone expect to pay for this neat at a bar or restaurant?
when I've seen it - around $14-18
The bottle is cool, but nothing has convinced me to spend on this brand vs. brands I know I will enjoy.
Every now and then you dont just try something new?
@@thisfool89 At 110 bottles on my shelf, I still have bottles I'm trying for the first time. 🤣
@robertmyers5763 lol fair enough 🤣
