I loved the contrast with fine art look over simple pen and unfinished look is so cool! I will try that for sure!
Hey Hamrib! As you know, gouache paint is incredibly expensive if we're purchasing them tube by tube. Your colors always come off so vibrant and lively and warm, what are some colors you would suggest a beginner to go for? Thank you and have a fantastic day! :)
Hi Theresa! This is a great question! I would say get some version of red, yellow and blue (my first choice were all warm colors but you can go cooler or more neutral too.) but i would still say that even if you choose warmer colors to still get a lemon yellow because i always find it handy. And then some additional colors that i always use are black, white and burnt sienna for skin tones.
It's also not important but i sometimes just replace black with a good prussian blue.
I hope this helps!
Windsor and newton is a good paint, very reasonably priced and vibrant if price is an issue
It depends where you live.
where i'm from. W&N is the most expensive.
Get extra white- it will run out the fastest. Also when looking at gouache and cringing at the price remember that high end gouache only needs a small amount of paint for you to get a good result so the tube lasts for very long. You also need fewer colours since they mix cleanly. Most 5-6 tube high end introductory sets have colours like those Hamrib suggests so grab whichever one of those is cheapest/on sale in your area (holbein (not their acryla gouache though, that's a whole other story), sennelier, m Graham, winsor newton?) and an extra tube of white. Budget options are muddy when mixed due to filler, streaky and have less pigment so you end up going through the tube much faster.
i use schminke, those are quite good and affordable.
I would like to see both type of videos tbh, I really like seeing the proccess of art and a comparison of all of them in the end could be great!
Beautiful painting friend thanks for sharing
I’d love to watch the painting process for each one separately, with a comparison of all three at the end. I’ve learned a lot from watching your painting process and listening to your explanations. Your work is beautiful ❤️
I love this. incredible
I am so impressed thank you!
Beautiful!❤️
Amazing work!
Incredible!!! Love you informative voice overs on top of your process. Very tempted to try gouache since it combines both opacity and ability to be manipulated with water later on!
“Mojo Jo Jo” 🤣 I was really liking the modeling on her cheeks just before you entered that phase LOL You worked through it really well, i thought!
You are one of the most inspiring artists and I just want to thank you for making these type of videos which are very helpful and beginner friendly , please keep on making more tutorial 😊😊
Having individual videos with elaborate descriptions and more viewing time for the different paintings would be ideal. Btw, this reminds me of the pen sketches on notebooks during classes.
that "MOJOJOJO" hits hard tbh, it got me laughing HAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAH
this looks so great! your videos always make me want to break out my gouache and paint more!
i think for the “same painting with different mediums” idea i’d like to see more than just highlights for each but still have the comparison, maybe you could do one extra-long video ?
Very beautiful painting!!😍
great skin tone and shading🙂
Omg i just discovered you just now and all your painting helped me new supporter here🥺💗
I would like to see different videos of one refs.. Just because I like your style and your calm and soothing vibe. I think your vibe goes just right with your painting...
Work as your nature demands so that we can see how you develop your pieces. Its the process of our creation that makes ones' work distinctive and special to us. You've done a wonderful job with coloring this sketch. With people, mood is often only thought of later. Color choices are the strongest drives for the direction a painting goes, so color key is the primary focus. Often problems arise as we try to get backgrounds and foreground to blend with the area's of focus, and make things seem out of balance. I hope you are doing well, and most happy with all your days. Please take very good care of yourself. Best Wishes.
I love the shading on the panting and the sketch! I also love your art style :D
I love this painting! Thanks for showing your process :)
I'd love to see each painting as an individual video to see your process and maybe a retrospective video after for how you compare each different medium!
I think that for the next video it would be nice to have all the medias in one video so it will be easier to compare ☺️ love your videos! Can’t wait to see more
I love watching your videos 💕. You are really good at making the face appear 3 dimensional. Could you share how you see the planes of the face and how you create dimension with that knowledge? 🙂🙂🙂
Yes please!!
Wow. This is so amazing and beautiful artwork. Good job 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice work 👏 👌 👍
I just love the way you paint, it's so delicate and aesthetically pleasing! Wonderful video as always :)
Wonderful
I think for you to be able to explain in depth the similarities and differences between the effects you can get with each medium it will be best done with each painting being It’s own video. You can showcase the process and explain the steps taken a lot better if each medium has its own video. Of course I’m sure no matter what you decide the outcome will be a great video and I can’t wait to see what you find!
didn't expect another painting this week, but I'm not complaining 😳
Hi HamRib! To answer your question, my preference would be a video for each painting! 😊
This is me when Im sad. Please paint me happy!
Hello Sis, that’s absolutely pretty painting! ☺️❤️
Keep safe always.🙏🏻
واو رائعة جدا وكيت يعجبني رسمكي😍😍😍
I absolutely love your art and I notice you have a kind of bigger variety of paintbrushes.Could u make a video or just put in a video what kind of brushes you use and if they work well with gouache?!
Muito linda a sua arte
I think you should do individual videos for each medium. And on your last one, you should incorporate what you took away from all.
My reason is by doing each one individually, me as the viewer, can see the process of each and at the end your break down will be that much more valuable.
Does that make sense?
I love your art it’s amazing 👍 keep it up🤗
lovely work and i really enjoy watching your pieces develop 👍👍thx !! norakag, here
❤️❤️
Love your artworks.... Can i ask how can i take class on domestika? Thank you🙏
One video for all the mediums would be enough BUT if you have enough time and its not much of a hassle, we would probably learn a loot more if they have their own videos.💛
Thank you for the feedback! ❤️
Yep, I do agree! I'd love to watch all the videos, but of course, if you have enough time!
I LOL when you mentioned MOJO JOJO! HAHAHAHAHAHA
I would like to see how you paint the exact reference in different medium too. It would be so nice. You will have a different content too!
👍🏻😁
If you decide to do three different videos going in depth about each medium I think it would be great if you would also make a recap video for all the mediums editing the same footage and just telling us what stood out for you and want us to know :)
Just an idea, of course
Looks great, but i'm concerned if the ink will eventually seep through the gouache?
How can I find my own style in drawing? Can you give some tips... I'm 15 years old and I have been drawing for more than 10 years. I'm trying to find my style of drawing these days.
Separate videos for each medium, and one video where you summarize what you've discovered, perhaps?
Omgggg
Where did you boy your watercolor book?
What is the size of the paper?
How dO yOu drAw hAndsS???????
ما نوع الألوان التي تستخدمينها
what does this represent?
there is some tips for someone who wants to start painting but dont even know how to draw?? hahahahah love your paintings
I see Taylor swift in her pose💗🤍🤍
I fine with both! But it’d also be nice to see the full processes in separate videos (also I think there would be less burden on you this way?)
hi ham, is your discord group still open? thank you :]
great video :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
Please separate the videos. It'll make for a nice "video series" for your channel and we get to appreciate your amazing thought process with each video. :)
Yesssss I'm editing the first video na ☺️
Jesus loves you 💛💙
You can do different videos and you can just do it like the movie scenes, not really edit it (Don't need to make music). Plz do different videos so you can really go in depth with different mediums :)
What is the size of the paper?
