can i just say, i absolutely adore your style, currently you’re who i am looking up to in terms of getting better in art as a whole but especially oil pastels
when I started oil pastel I never would've thought that I could become a person that someone could look up to. I'm glad that I kept trying, your comment made me think it was all worth it. Thank you💌
Same with me. I'm in love with oil pastels but sometimes I just get frustrated because I find them hard to use for details, but then I found your account by accident and you inspired me, I want to keep on practicing, you are goals.
This is really good. You did such a good job integrating all the different colors into the skin tone. It's like when you zoom out, it looks like skin, and then you zoom in and you can see all the gorgeous green and violet tones. 💜
Yeah true!! On my way finding oil pastel channel have great work and found Misako, also found another good one name Cecilia Self Gallery. You could check on it, she has great work on skin colour too
When the exhibition “Sargent: Portraits of Artists and Friends” came to the Met, I went every weekend for over a month, and I remember being particularly enthralled by the painting you’re studying here, I felt very lucky to be able to see such an awesome collection of his work in-person, probably the most impactful exhibition I’ve ever been to, loved it so much. You really brought me right back to that time. Great job, you really did it justice :•)
this is amazing, how do you understand where to put which colors so it doesn't just become a colorful mess and actually takes form and the colors speak to each other?! very impressive!!
I do something of a similar style and cool trick is to look at your reference photo and try to decide the dominant colour of the section for example if your drawing the tip of the nose look at your reference image and if it's more red then you take a deeper red pastel to do that section and if the skin is still very pale but slightly cooler in tone you ramp up the saturation and use are much deeper green or blue
every colour is a lot of colours. green is yellow and blue. so you can use those colours to shade, like orange is red and yellow so you can use those two within something that is just orange
Amazing work! I'm in love with your art style. The colour palette is subtly unnatural, yet hints at the human's skin tone and normal shadows. You have immense talent.
The final few shots of you delicately applying the white highlight in the eyes, for some reason, made me very emotional. Your art is beautiful, and so is the way you've captured your process.
This is absolutely stunning. So confident to lay down such strong decisions and stick with it. The end result is remarkable. I love how the first colors put down change by blending the finished layer
This was one of the most gorgeous draw with me videos I've seen in ages! Honestly really inspiring me to give oil pastels another go. Subscribed and really excited to see what else you make!
I felt bad because someone had been yelling at me since morning, and I was thinking about how to make myself feel better, and I thought it would be nice to see your painting. Now I feel better now. Thank you🌿

So many useful things can be learned by passing all the colors and shapes through the hands! I have copied Sargent's portraits more than once and this is a valuable experience for me as an artist.
I really appreciate this video! This piece is absolutely stunning and it’s so great you recorded the process. The way you use and blend your pastels is amazing. It really I spires me!
This clip is very calm with your style, music, and even front. All of these make me comfort. I luv your art and everything in this video. Thx for making a great clip like this.
Thank you So Much for your demonstration. As an oil pastel artist learning portraiture , it is difficult to translate oil painting procedures to oil pastels. We do not need to mix colors. This has been more heLpful than I can adequately express.
This looks like a “trust the process” way of painting. The colors you use look so wild and crazy until you blend them together and all the sudden they make sense. Very beautiful.
wow! your work is incredible! I love how you make the undertones and underlying colors of the face flow so naturally and appear so realistic. your understanding of color and realism is so mesmerizing. it was such a beautiful piece to watch develop. you are such an inspiration to me, and I wish you health and happiness!
As an artist myself, you are inspiration to stars my own youtube channel! Your videos are so well filmed and your painting are so beautiful that it’s my goal to have my videos inspirared from yours
My mind is blown!!!! Your art style is so amazing, you are like a traditional world class artist from the 1700s. Your style is so beautiful. I cannot imagine achieving such perfection with oil pastel. I love your videos. Please keep making videos and don’t get discouraged… your art is phenomenal. TH-cam, I don’t get why this channel doesn’t have a million subscribers yet 😄 this is exactly what I was looking for when I searched oil pastel portrait, though I never thought somebody would have really made something of this quality. You are AMAZING 🤩⭐️✨💖👏👏👏👏👏
you're the sweetest person🥺Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and leaving such an encouraging comment. comments like this keep me going☺️I've been working on new video and can't wait to show it to you! Hope you're having a great day🍀✨
@@MisakoFlodin Aww thank you so much!! It is my honor that I get to watch such videos. Great! Can't wait to see the new video. I know how long art can take... simply recording and making music covers takes me weeks. You are incredible, this must require a WHOLE LOT of patience. ✨✨💖💖👏👏😊
Absolutely love your style😍✨ I recently started my new interest in oil pastels because your videos inspire me so much! Keep it going 😊 I am really curious about what type of paper you use for oil pastels? Do you use canvas more often or mixed media paper?
Wow... ❤ when I saw the thumbnail I thought it's an oil paint but when it says oil pastel and when I watched the video... I was amazed.. I've never seen someone using oil pastel such beautifully... great work..❤😊
This is marvelous I can’t stressed this enough! I am amazed by your art!! It’s so so impressive that you made it using oil pastels 🖍!! Much love from France!

its so much easier to paint with pastels. no need to rush because the paint dryed or else.

She understand fundamental "color theory"
If you get the values right the hues don't even matter that much.
My toxic trait is thinking that I can do this
With practice and $ for supplies, you can
I tried and then realized why my main medium is charcoal 💀💀
And my toxic trait is telling you you can.
