So basically what happens is that he switched to Mad Dog to somehow drop Amon's dagger, then switches to thug again, then he uses it in a heat action
I love the only 37000 yen at the end even after you beat him to a pulp

It was a pre-played save file I downloaded from the internet to avoid playing substories for the second time. I'm guessing the person used mods to make them unbreakable.

Afaik weapons like the carbon nunchaku and the steel tonfa will always be infinite durability though it’s attack rating is usually bad

Is there a trick to getting him out of your face so you can get some distance? I keep getting knocked down and as soon as i get up i keep getting knocked down again even when i dodge
