HOW TO SELECT YOUR MODULES?!
Welcome (back) to my channel, my name is Baishnavi Kumari!
So this week I explain how to choose your modules (and my process), and give tips on which factors to focus on as well as specific modules I would recommend.
I go to UCL so there is specific information for UCL students. However the process is generic and can be applied no matter which uni you go to.

UPDATE: FYI The Economics Dept. sent an e-mail saying that modules are not allocated on a first-come first-serve basis. But I am not sure on what other departments have said for their modules.

seeing as you (and me) didn't studied further maths at a level, how are you coping with the maths heaviness? Like I did AS Further Maths and could do things like matrices well, but how much do you think ill struggle with the maths? Btw, im an incoming ucl undergrad for econ so we might see each other ;)

Hey I reaaally need to ask you some questions, I’m in Arts and Sciences (haven’t started yet) and I was wondering if I could transfer to Economics BSc… do you think that’s possible? Also, apart from Economics modules can you also choose others fron different departments? Like for example engineering?

Hi! If you meet the minimum requirements for the BSc Econ, I believe it is possible to switch but it is not guaranteed, because it depends on the number of extra spaces on the course etc. If you are doing Arts and Sciences, you are not limited to choosing modules in one department only. However, some modules have restrictions. For example I wouldn't be able to take a module in an engineering course as this does not really "add value" to my degree, plus it is not suitable for someone who does econ to take an engineering module. But some departments that I am allowed to choose modules from are Maths, Computer Science, Philosophy, Management etc. And to clarify, yes I had the option to choose a language as a module, varying from Japanese to Spanish. I would recommend you to read the Arts and Sciences page on UCL for more information!
