Bro I literally felt the same as you when I got rej by GS Spring this year, lol. I did bad on the technical interview and got feedback of lacking technical knowledge. But I was like, I'm here to learn lol. But now I know when they say they don't expect anything from us, it's all BS lol. To convert we need to be good at technicals. (gonna do citi spring week in 2023, gonna be well prepared lmao)

Hey loved the video! I am currently on a gap year and am reapplying to do Economics at hopefully UCL or any of the other top universities. When deciding to take a gap year I had the issue of if I was able to keep up my mathematics. After submitting my UCAS application next week I hope to start going over A Level Mathematics and start to learn the mathematics topics for University. I'm quite scared of the fact that I won't have the same momentum as i did in A Levels but I am ademant to start learning the course for the first year particularly the mathematics modules. If you have any websites and online reasourse I could use to start learning please can you let me know. Also if there is an particular youtube videos that can help me to learn the topics you provided that would be amazing. Is it also possible for you to let me know what textbooks you used for those modules and let me know which one is best to start of with. Sorry for the long comment. :)

seeing as you (and me) didn't studied further maths at a level, how are you coping with the maths heaviness? Like I did AS Further Maths and could do things like matrices well, but how much do you think ill struggle with the maths? Btw, im an incoming ucl undergrad for econ so we might see each other ;)

Yh econ at UCL is not very politcial at all. More scientific and mathematical based. And yh it's basically self learning. A shame but whatever.

UPDATE: FYI The Economics Dept. sent an e-mail saying that modules are not allocated on a first-come first-serve basis. But I am not sure on what other departments have said for their modules.

I’m really scared that when I get to my second year and I’m applying for internships, they’ll ask for a transcript of your first year grades. When you’re applying for internships, do they ask for a transcript of your first year grade?
