This morning, our school embraced the spirit of Vanmahotsav with a unique and powerful assembly. Our talented students performed a captivating mime act, highlighting the importance of trees and connecting it to the historic Chipko Movement.
The mime skit beautifully portrayed the life and significance of trees, their role in our ecosystem, and the threats they face. Through expressive gestures and creative storytelling, our students brought to life the silent yet profound message of conservation.
We also paid tribute to the Chipko Movement, a pivotal moment in environmental activism where villagers in India hugged trees to prevent their felling, symbolizing their deep connection to nature and the need for its protection. In a special moment, a sapling was gifted to our beloved Principal Ma’am, symbolizing our commitment to nurturing nature. This was followed by the launch of our tree-planting festival on the school premises, an initiative aimed at greening our surroundings and fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment among our students.
The assembly concluded on a high note with our students joining hands and chanting, "Join hands to plant trees in Vanmahotsav 2024 for a greener and healthier planet."
