Wow I'm really impressed... So simple in design but looking pretty damn professional! I'm gonna wait patiently for the test video... Kudos men you really great!
Been waiting for months for this video - and I was not disappointed ! Fantastic work. It looks like something out of a Bruce Willis movie and for that reason alone I would build one - LOL. Looking forward to your next video. I'm subscribed !
Nicely and honestly made from and truly good artisan. Well done. And thanks for sharing. Would like more info how you buildt the high voltage frequency. Regards Leslie. South Africa
Hi Leslie. Thanks for the comments. I have several other videos regarding the power supply to the gun. You can find it on the playlist on my channel. Cheers.
oo ba sir. kaso andito pa kasi ako sa offshore kaya hindi ko pa matuloy mga projects na yan. isang problema ko ay wala akong compressor sa bahay eh, kaya balak ko gayahin yung maliit na compressor mo.
Hi bro. check out this video of that high voltage cascade. I will also make a follow up video of using the gun and explaining the power supply in more details. th-cam.com/video/jJm6EpnzTnQ/w-d-xo.html
my brother i have been waiting for this video. if you can make a simple video that explains how you made the electrostatic charge that will be great. that's where am stuck now.
Hi bro. Have you seen this video yet? th-cam.com/video/jJm6EpnzTnQ/w-d-xo.html I will explain in more details about the high voltage cascade used with the gun on the next video.
@@DIYPhil Fantastic!! I noticed that you used ultrafast high voltage diodes. Do those actually have to be used ? I was of the impression that 1000volt uf2504 could be used
@@Biokemist-o3k I only used it because that is what I can find at the moment. You can try the UF2504. If you find that the voltage rating is not enough, you can put 2 or more in series.
I have tried to look for a cross section of a powder gun and it seams to me that they use venturi effect to suck and mix the powder. This only mix the powder by blowing in the bin. Do you have any thoughts?
Hi. This one I just made is comparable to the hobby guns such as those from Eastwood and Harbor freight that just blow air to the jar of powder. There is something special with the nozzle of the pro powder coating gun. They are not just straight tube. I definitely want to duplicate that. In fact I'm trying to order online for the Chinese copy of just the nozzle and powder pump to see how it can be used with our diy gun.
Not great. I changed the feedback resistor to higher value so that I can increase the input voltage. Sparks flying out inside the case. Not only from the transformer but also from the cascade. I later soaked everything in insulating varnish and seems to help. I will update for development in that area.
Hi thanks. That is the exact video I watched that gave me an idea to use the 15kV kit. I'm experimenting with different circuits he did. The HV generator is still a work in progress.
The PVC pipe outer diameter in this video is 22mm. I later changed to a PVC pipe with 18mm outer diameter (marked 3/8" nominal). These are PVC pipe for electrical conduit, not water pipes.
It is very weird hearing this voice when I've been listening to your own voice. For me, it really isn't an improvement. I'll never build one of these, but following your paint gun development has been interesting to watch.
Hi. Sometimes I edit these videos while I am at work offshore. I share a room with somebody else and cannot find a quiet spot elsewhere to record a voice over. That is when I use AI voice. Thanks for your comment
Ha ha ha. I am really dirt cheap when it comes to these DIY projects. My idea is if the cost of the homemade project is high then I might just as well buy the real thing.

supply voltage of about 4 or 5 volts as I remember. you can find it here th-cam.com/video/jJm6EpnzTnQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Y0LYymOPZKoKU1Im
Thx!!
If it Can work all Time for example 8h
No. Because it will run out of powder and you have to turn off the unit to refill the hopper
Yes i know i mean 8h in work with powder
I am working in industrial and We have a lot of machines of powder coating

How is the 15kV transformer holding up? Have you used epoxy on transformer and cascade?

If it work without heat problem
I have not noticed any heat problem because this device is very low power. There is a heat sink for the transistor.

Can you use 12v??
The dc power supply I am using is actually 12V then goes to a dc to dc converter to regulate the output at around 4 volts
Ok m'y freind
Thanks in flow you Always
You must buy a 3d printer :D
