I didn't start seeing that until after I had already recorded the reaction. I went ahead and recorded my reaction to the "You Are Super" version last night and plan on uploading that one this week. I still felt it important to upload this one as it was the first time I had heard this beautiful song. Also, I am working hard on saying her name properly. A couple of you have gotten pretty mad at me. 😅 But I do know that there is a whole world of languages beyond my personal bubble and it might take me a bit of time, but saying her name properly is important to me. I am glad you are learning Diana's back story because It is important to highlight her life, other great singers had the luck to grow in music families that pushed them in to the arts, others had families with money that helped them develop their talents and give them a secure future. Diana was born in the worst of circumstances and even when her wonderful new family gave her a home and the love she needed, it was not a rich or music oriented family. Diana studied vocals like mad and worked everywhere to gain the skills she has, you can see her sing on the streets, in cruise ships, in weddings, in malls and all these before she even turned 18 years old. It's cool when people watch amazing talented people on videos but not all of them started from the same point. Diana is a phenomenal mind boggling vocalist, an absolutely unique voice and also an amazing hard working and humble person.

That's funny you mentioned yodel, in her first appearance on the Voice Kids, she yodeled and got 0 chair turns even though it was amazing. I guess none of the judges knew what to do with a yodeler. I hadn't seen this version of the song, my first encounter with Diana was this song but when she was on that kids show "you are Super", she was younger then and I can see the improvement.

I usually explain the song because even with captions on it can be a little confusing because of the heavy use of metaphors in Russian lyrics and poems. Hi. Thanks for your reaction. This is not a great version of Rechenka, there is far to much reverb. Listen to the first version on the "You Are Super" TV show. Much better, also the performance and setting is far better. My favourite Diana songs are "Oh It is Not Yet Evening " "Blizzard" "Personal Jesus " and "In My Huge City "
