The man standing at the end was, in fact, Igor Krutoy, the famous composer, who after this performance came out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash. They collaborated on many amazing songs together like Stranger, Ave Maria, Ogni Pietra/Olympico, Passione, The Love of Tired Swans, Missing You, Okay, Love is Like a Dream, Know, etc. I've subscribed for your Dimash journey. Greetings from Indiana! 😊

👉Dimash's deep and gentle voice... I melt away. When Dimash sings Give me, give me, it sounds to me like a bell is being struck. What a wonderful song, wonderfully sung by Dimash (Russian language). Did you hold your breath? 🤣 The final run was 23 seconds with one breath. 👏👏👏
Dimash sings here as a guest on the New Wave 2018 (international competition). Igor Krutoy, the man in the white shirt at the end, a famous Russian composer, music titan and initiator of the New Wave had invited him. Now, both are a "Dreamteam" and work together from time to time. They are friends, have a father-son-relationship.
... and of course Dimash donates the many flowers to hospitals and retirement homes.
The band that Dimash accompanies at this performance called A’Studio, who composed and performed “Sinful Passion” in 1998. The band is also from Kazakhstan (Dimash's homeland) and this Dimash performance has revived the song.
    *Original: A'STUDIO - Грешная страсть/ SInful Passion (pronounced: Greshnaya Strust) - th-cam.com/video/CN9fHwhna_M/w-d-xo.html
The glottal - stops is a throat singing technique called "bleating", “goat's trill” or „Trillo caprino/ little goat“ used by the indigenous peoples of the Far East. In Iran called this technique „tahrir“
In 17th-century Italy, 'trillo' referred to the so-called 'Monteverdi trill' or bleat, a tremolo-like repetition of a single pitch. Singing these trills was frowned upon.
    - At the end of the video, Dimash explains his breathing technique: th-cam.com/video/STqrz1E2WV8/w-d-xo.html

After a while you get used to the incredible range and vocal pyrotechnics, as well as the stage craft and presentation. Then all that is left is his world class musicianship.

In 2017, Dimash surprised everyone, not only in China. His first album was certified 1x platinum in 37 seconds, 3x platinum in 47 minutes and 5x platinum in one day. (Each country has its own regulations)
He opened the eyes of his critical compatriots. Today, Dimash is his country's "cultural ambassador" and a "national treasure" (no official title). He himself is a proud Kazakh and patriot and is passionately committed to peace in the world.
Dimash plays at least 7 instruments ( th-cam.com/video/FyWuFaNK_7g/w-d-xo.html ), traditional dombra is a must in Kazakh familys. He speaks 3 languages: Kazakh (mother tongue), Russian without an accent (second language in Kazakhstan) and English. So far he sings in 16 languages (phonetically). Dimash says dancing is difficult for him. But he moves great on stage and his hands speak. He is a grandiose and sensitive story teller. Dimash trains his voice 3-4 hours every day...but he says: "You don't have to know how hard I've worked, you just have to enjoy the results."
In professional circles, Dimash is considered a lyrical baritone with a typically wide range. Some believe that he does not sing his high notes as a countertenor (Falsetto) but as a natural soprano (Head voice). He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, alto, soprano.
His current pitch range is G0 - D8 (outside the piano), 7,7 octaves! At least that's what Dimash shows us so far. 😃
    * Video about his vocal range: th-cam.com/video/7mo_MJbGSjw/w-d-xo.html
    * Video about his voices, genres etc. - th-cam.com/video/iIeF-fr8vfk/w-d-xo.html
Dimash's 'heavenly' vocal abilities, from bass to coloratura soprano, are difficult to classify. They are not only limited to the enormous range of over seven octaves and the mixture of all musical genres, but it is also the incredible command of his voice and the ability to touch people emotionally and surprise them again and again. Such skills are very rare and can only be acquired, maintained and perfected through relentless and never-ending training.
    „DIMASH-SHOW. INSPIRATION” Dokumentary - th-cam.com/video/MLZzOPZ2KWE/w-d-xo.html
Dimash doesn't drink alcohol and of course he doesn't smoke, he doesn't drink iced drinks and he doesn't like socks. He loves fire and water on stage, of course only as stage sets. 🤣 Dimash works out regularly to stay in shape - especially he loves swimming and playing tennis.
A dear once gave him knee pads, but Dimash says he's so deep into his songs that he doesn't feel any pain. 😃
Dimash is a very handsome, attractive man and is on the list of the most handsome men in the world (2018). He is a popular model all over the world. The best designers in the world court him and are inspired by his music. He doesn't just wear her creations on stage.
Dimash is humble, kind, generous, respectful, reserved and very, very hardworking. He gives a lot of his time and money to charity, supports people in need and always does it quietly. We Dears only find out because some people feel the need to talk about it.
Dimash is a megastar. He has the largest active fan base in the world, over 10 million Dears in fan clubs in 142 countries, women and men aged 9 to 90 around the world. (documented)… and at least millions and millions Dears who are not organized in the fan clubs. In an interview his Dears were estimated at two billion.
“DIMASH SHOW. UNIVERSE OF DEARS” Documentary - th-cam.com/video/4SexPGqVWtc/w-d-xo.html
    * Music therapist / Hamda Farhat's reaction to Dimash - th-cam.com/video/16ejBTvBtSM/w-d-xo.html
Dimash calls us "Dears" because we are just as important and dear to him as his own family. The fan clubs are not like those of other artists. They don't just cheer for Dimash. They return Dimash's love and emulate him. They strive for good manners and help people who are not doing well or they are committed to the environment. The Dears do their part to make the world a better place. This connects Dimash and his dears around the world.
What can't he do? Oops, he can't cook! 😃 Did I forget something? Oh yeah! He sings all the time, all day! He sings because he has to, it's his life.
Go on the journey. He will surprise you every time, touch your heart, nourish your soul or blow you out of your chair. Handkerchiefs are always recommended, even for hard metal heads! Be careful and hold on tight when Dimash pulls out the left earbud! Meet Dimash, his singing, his diversity, his development, his human size, his humility, his love for his dears.
A dear commented: "Dimash deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for his tireless promotion of world peace for peoples around the world." One can only agree!
    * FULL SPEECH AT FORUM IN ASTANA (2022) - th-cam.com/video/2C55a3mvfPI/w-d-xo.html
Dimash - “The Honored People’s Artist of Kazakhstan” and cultural ambassador of his country:
    * was awarded a medal by Pope Francis (head of the Catholic Church) for his work promoting peace (2022)
    * was appointed “IOM United Nations Goodwill Ambassador” for Asia
    * was appointed “Goodwill Ambassador for Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.”
    * Met with or performed for fourteen presidents and heads of state
    * met the Secretary General of the United Nations
    * DIAFA awards, Dubai (2024)
Dimash is an artist who is a strong advocate for peace and he is heard by these leaders.
Please NEVER react to The World's Best videos!
For TV viewers, the songs are terribly mangled and edited together. Most Dears boycott the videos because they know the backstory: Dimash left the show before the finale and his assured victory, turning down a record deal and $1 million in prize money. In his culture, adults do not compete with children. The organizers lied to him when he signed the contract and later humiliated him. Eyewitnesses here: th-cam.com/video/XQgCJBnRvVk/w-d-xo.html
(K or Q? - Dimash was first known in Russia and China. There is no Q in the Russian alphabet (Cyrillic script) or in Chinese hieroglyphs. Now he is known worldwide and his name is written with Q in Latin script. Kazakhstan is also in the process of switching to the Latin alphabet. So both are correct, in countries with Cyrillic script: Kudaibergen, in all countries with latin alphabet: Qudaibergen.)
There are good, great, excellent singers and there is DIMASH!

Dimash always treats others very touchingly and with respect. Very modest, tactful and incredibly well-mannered!!! Recently saw a video from his very elderly fan. She is 87 years old, she is from New Zealand.😳. For the last few years, she has hardly left the house and mainly lay and sat. Old age and the exacerbation of many diseases did not allow her to move much! She herself told; Once, completely by chance, she heard an incredible voice while sitting in the kitchen. In another room, TH-cam was on and different music was constantly playing. She gathered her strength and went to watch quickly. And that's it, since then she began to learn about Dimash and listen to everything that was on the air. She said that when Dimash sang, she seemed to breathe in clean air and began to feel that she was getting easier and easier. The pain decreased time after time. After a month of listening to Dimash, she herself went to see a doctor. The doctor was amazed by the results of the tests and examination. He started asking what she was taking! 😅 A few years later, she flew to Dimash's concert herself. 30 hours of flight time! At her age! 😳 And then she went to several more. Then she decided to fly to Kazakhstan herself to see where Dimash was born and studied. Somehow, Dimash's parents found out about her and invited her to visit their home. And then the most interesting thing happened. As she told us; A gorgeous table was set, a lot of national dishes and all of Dimash's relatives were around. They all sat down at the table. And suddenly Dimash enters on his shoulder with a towel and a small basin and a jug in his hands. And he begins to approach everyone at the table and, putting a basin under him, pours water on their hands and gives them towels to wipe them off. 😮😂 She was speechless and sat with her mouth open. Her idol! The magical voice of the planet! Gathering huge stadiums of spectators!!! For every look of which fans were ready to do anything! And he modestly, with a smile and tact, approaches each guest and bends down to wash their hands with water! 😮😮😮😂😂😂 Because that's how it's supposed to be, it's a tradition, that's the order in families in Kazakhstan. The youngest must take care of the guests at the table (probably his brother was in another place that day).. That's our Dimash!🤗😍

That warbling sound is something done at funerals apparently and Dimash chose to do this in the song because one of the original A Studio band members had died and he was paying his respect, so I believe. Thank you from the U.K. so sorry about the tragedy in New Orleans today.

Ave Maria is an excellent choice. It is a bespoke vocalise especially written for Dimash by Igor Krutoy.😊 Of particular interest is his final note.

Yes, it was Igor Krutoy, he came out of retirement after this performance and has gone on to create many masterpieces with Dimash. Igor is a Russian Music Mogul/Composer worth 13 Billion USD (that’s how famous he is)! He has no contract with Dimash but more of a father/son relationship. Dimash has always respected him since he composed a lot for Lara Fabian, who is one of Dimash’s idols. You should also react to her, she’s a French Canadian singer who is incredible! You will see the great influence she has had on Dimash! Dimash performed in a trio with her (along with Aida Garifullina), it was a dream come true for Dimash in 2019 to sing with Lara, on the occasion of Igor Krutoy’s 65th birthday concert. That song is called Ti Amo Cosi.

Thank you so much for your reaction❤.
23 seconds in one breath with riffs and runs. It’s unbelievable.
The thing about flowers has something to do with the culture in Russia. The audience listens calmly and attentively to the artist and at the end showers him with flowers and gifts. This also refers to the moderator's comment that Dimash gets so many flowers that it is not enough for the other artists (in this case Nikolai Baskov). It seems that Nikolai Baskov is usually used to getting the most flowers🤭
By the way he didn‘t win The Voice. He never performed in this show. He became second in The Singer competition in China 2017, because of not being a Chinese. The following year in 2018, they changed the rules and Jessie J. won.
These middle easter sound (melisma) he does in one or another song. It’s really awesome.
He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2018. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest.
This song was in Russian, a language he speaks fluently.
And you're right, the gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
Thank you for reacting the video to the end. If possible, always watch the videos to the end. Very often there are interesting things to learn. Either there’s something to laugh about, or he’s talking to his audience. He always thanks his musicians. He is incredibly humble and never acts like a star. When he is praised, he constantly says that it is thanks to his teachers and his parents, who made it all possible for him. He’s just incredible.
Please react to Olimpico or also Ogni Pietra from his Arnau concert in 2019 next. In this song he sings in Italian. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel. So it's ok to react to this version. And it's the best.
Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills (like so many others). It was written for the 2nd European Games 2019 in Minsk, Belarus and also won an award for Best Song of the Year in Russia in this year. The text is therefore very motivating.
This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements.
I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭 (and apparently many cameramen think so too, because in many close-ups of his performances only his hands can be seen. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. That's really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. Wow, he looks so commanding😱.
In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. Without subtitles, if you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and motivating his army to fight a losing battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤. Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

For those who like information about Dimas' songs:
Sinful Passion - The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. Moreover, in the final part he added, with an oriental technique (from the Kazakhstan region). The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band name is A'Studio (Kazakh pop music group based in Russia, "Alma-Ata Studio", Almaty city). The dead singer (who Dimash was a fan of) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poetess Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the long-haired keyboardist, who we see in the video that accompanies Dimash.
    Hugs from Brazil!

Thank you for reacting to Dimash 💜from a Dear in Ca

The thing with the flowers has something to do with respect for the artist. It's a cultural thing. The audience listens to a performance without yelling or screaming that the artist can no longer be heard. No sound may be missing. In return, they then shower Dimash with flowers and gifts. That's the norm there. He then always donates the flowers to hospitals, retirement homes or similar institutions. Russian audiences are more reserved, so no standing ovations or enthusiastic clapping but that doesn't mean they don't love Dimash. They just don't show it that way.
23 seconds in one breath with riffs and runs.
It’s unbelievable. Along with throat singing & Opera no less. This song was in Russian, a language he speaks fluently.

If no one’s mentioned it, the rapid Middle Eastern-type of vocalization he did has been labeled a “goat trill”. The vocal itself is considered a trill, and apparently the style in which he sang it hails from that particular part of the world. Now, when I watch the end of the video again, in which he says his piece to the audience, I’m struck by something. There he is, considered by so many the greatest singer alive, with possibly the widest vocal range in humanity, yet he is humble and respectful. That shows you can be an incredibly talented artist and still maintain your humility.

You can sort of get a good idea of how the caprino works if you attempt to laugh just as fast as you can. -Similar to the bleating of a goat. You can feel the breath cutting off between each 'ha'. (I don't have enough agility or coordination to do it rapidly, but I can feel the "how" of it, technique-wise.) 🙃

Thank you for another honest, warm reaction to "Sinful Passion".
Once you are done with "Ave Maria", you might turn to "Ogni Pietra" and "Ikanaide". Then turn to "The Story of One Sky", the official video version first BEFORE you do any other version thereof.
A song that Dimash released last year in 2024 is "When I've Got You", a music video.

10:27 you have a lot more to go then his channel :) much more performances are on some chinese TV channels, or on Igor Krutoy channel. you can easily find more then 150 unique Dimash performances, and about 50 more if someone gave you direct link to chinese sources :)

    Buon ascolto

MommaOG, If I may, I'd like to offer you a helpful warning before your reviewing of Ave Maria. Please don't expect the Schubert version of the Ave. (It tends to get reactors in some kind of 'disappointed' mind-set as they wait for a familiar tune and lyric, and thus they kind of lose focus for the first minute or so in a state of futile expectation.) Just let it be what it is and let this piece of brilliance and breathtaking beauty wash over and through you. That's my only piece of advice; I hope that it helps you enjoy the composition and performance. Thanks for including Dimash in your musical discussions; much appreciated by Dears everywhere! 👍👍💖

It's funny you say this... I recorded that reaction over a week ago and it will be uploaded in about an hour and a half (due 2 Jan 5pm et). But I did notice it differed from what I was expecting. I've been sifting through comments and waiting for someone... ANYONE... to mention this when they suggest the song and you are the first to do so. 😅Thank you for this. It definitely didn't detract from the experience at all. I'm not sure if that's possible. He could rap Mary had a Little Lamb and I would want to hear it. 🤣🥰

This is a cover of Sinful Passion originally by A´Studio. The bass and the piano players were part of that band and the second was one of the songwiters.
5:23 the greeting/farewell to the spirits inherited from Turkic/Tengrenist traditions in certain muslim tribes in the ancient Turan to pay homage to the ancestors and spirits of nature. In Spanish I know it as "hammering vibrato" or "glottal vibrato". In Iran I heard they call it "che-che". It is not yodeling but an ethnic technique relative to yodeling but needs more control on the notes you sing than in yodeling.
